During his act he said he looked like a Mormon on a mission and was not just pale he was iridescent white.

I might just steal this line.   At almost-84, "my stretch marks glow in the dark" is probably inappropriate.

Nice of Whoopi to put on her very best overalls for today’s show.

Haven't been able to watch for several days...but when she started wearing them EVERY DAY, I noticed that sometimes the only difference was the color of the buttons.  Is it her latest merch?  What gives?  For months she was looking so good.

It was clear yesterday that Whoopi had absolutely zero interest in discussing it

This should be a boilerplate we can just copy and paste.

Seems like Whoopi gets her opinion before as moderator, during the discussion, and as they leave for break

He's being horrible to her, imo.  I hope that Captain Kerry puts him in his place, and won't let Fraser fire Barbie.

Captain Kerry probably won't have an educated opinion until after the season is over and he watches the shows.  Hope it's not too late.

Aside from the fact that the crew had to tolerate Jill, the fact is that when your dinner comes out cold, you don't get a huge tip.

But,  if chef had had some help, he may not have had to serve cold food.

And Jill's interference caused the chef to create foods not planned for when they went over the primary's/guests requests.  I think Jill needs to pitch in $10K.

I bet the tip was smaller because Jill did not contribute enough for her and Gary's share.

Jill's MEDDLING was the "contribution" that caused many of the kitchen problems.

It was the tone Sunny was using that had me baffled. Like she was an uninformed maroon, unaware of the many cycles of Cicadas, eclipses.

Her "tone" does MORE than baffle me.  Still, I'm not as tired of her as I am of Whoopi...but it's getting close.

That's her crazy catholic upbringing showing its ugly face again.

As an atheist for the past 59 years ... but a devout and happy Catholic the first 25, all "Catholic upbringing" isn't CRAZY. Mine: Non-practicing Episcopalian father. Strict, devout Catholic mother...12 years of Catholic school...and still I was taught to respect others' beliefs.  In respecting, one can't help but understand how others might view mine.  What I've noticed is that there are many fears and superstitions brought from "the old country" that Catholics as young as Sunny seem to believe and carry with them. Sunny mixes a lot of her superstitions with her faith. She seems to think all Catholics should believe as she does.  They don't.

I'm always disappointed in the abortion discussions where she says her strong stance on that topic is "because I'm Cath-o-lic."  Apparently she thinks that's enough.  Is it the only tenet she uses to support an opinion?  Does she never go against her church's teaching on anything else...like IVF?  It's time that she gives an honest opinion--and doesn't shirk the responsibility of her opinion...like many "Cafeteria Catholics."

As to the Cicadas, well, Whoopi, I recall there was a bunch of them the summer I bought my car in 2019! Yep, And I got an air blower thingamabob to blow the dead ones out from under my windshield wipers. That wasn't...17 years ago.

I agree, GHScorpios...  Copied/pasted from the 'net.  I'm in Arizona, so I want readers to take particular notice of the last sentence.  We hear them every summer and see their interesting little empty shells stuck on trees, etc.    "Periodic cicadas, however, do synchronize their emerging, so every 10–17 years depending on the species, large groups (broods) of cicadas emerge at the same time. In the Northeastern United States, Brood X emerged during the summer of 2021. In Arizona, annual cicadas are more common."

Back Atcha, if it's any consolation, Whoopi is hardly ever on the podcast.  I guess she thinks that since she's such an active participant in the show that she doesn't have to do it.😏🙄

    So typical.   Thanks, HJ.

Back Atcha, you need to start listening to the podcast.

I think about that occasionally, but an hour a day of "The View" is sometimes a bit too much.  Here's the thing, if Whoopi is retired, I could change my mind.

Amanda was on WWHL and she looks healthier, fuller in the face. I'm glad she seemingly figured out the hormonal issues that was causing noticeable weight loss last Summer

Until last night on WWHL, I had never considered Amanda beautiful.  She looked fabulous...and was happy and fun.

What is the joke that Whoopi tells at the beginning of every show about?  kind of “this audience looks so familiar “?

What is that BORING and REPETITIVE "joke" that Whoopi tells way too often?

It's only funny to the audience who is seated through a second show.  Most comedians don't repeat the same stale stuff over and over.  Apparently Whoopi thinks it's clever.

Maybe they tape some guest segments before the show is live?   We used to have posters who attended shows, too bad they aren’t around to give us the inside info.

From the 'net:  "The View" is taped in New York City on weekday mornings. On some days they also tape a second show in the afternoon.

Maybe Sunny was completely conversant with the text of his book since she read it twice,

Conversant is one thing; she should pick up a copy of "Etiquette for Dummies."

If Sunny disagrees with his interpretation of what MLK said, then she should state her opinion, not drag someone else into it.

Sunny probably has one source, where the author (most likely) has several he used and some he did not.  He seems intelligent and insightful.

I love Sarah’s sweater but Whoopi looks like she just came from painting her living room.

Haven't watched today's show yet, but a few months ago I commented to a friend (a BIG Whoopi fan; I'm not)...that Whoopi seemed to have lost weight, gained new fashion "likes," and seemed to have a much better attitude. I wondered if she was on a new medication--maybe a mood elevator. She said she hadn't noticed.

This was a bit before Ozempic fever.

Sunny tried to interview him as if she was the only interviewer there.   That just wasn't going to work in this format.   But I'm not mad at her line of questioning.

Overbearing Sunny stole others' time with her "I know better" facts and rude confrontation. Unnecessary, unprofessional,  and not a good look. Mr. Hughes was a guest on "our" show and I wanted to hear from him. The "I know Bernice," name-dropping was ineffectual showing off. I didn't know anything about the author...and I still don't. Although he probably didn't present any information he planned, I thought he did a good job of defense--against someone who was ticked off and loaded for bear.

All these people just met and they were freely hugging and kissing each other and I heard an “I love you, man” to the eliminated hat guy. Granted, I am uptight but isn’t that all a little much so early in the competition?

The "camaradarie" of the SAFE chefs was bugging me when the three contestants were competing to stay. Wasn't it stressful enough? They didn't need their fellow chefs overseeing them--trying to get airtime by making annoying/ inane comments.

Sunny and Whoopi both admitted to using the drugs. In Sunny's case she used it to get off 40 extra pounds that she put on from self-admittedly eating everything in sight during Covid lockdown. I generally like Sunny but I feel like it was a bad look for her to defend this when so many people like you are facing shortages of these drugs for their actual prescribed use

I'm surprised Sunny would use this drug. I read that she had Crohn's disease ... which is often the reason for unexpected/unwanted weight loss.

Did anyone else notice that as soon as the show started, Whoopi prompted Sara to bring up the all about Whoopi topic. 🙄

well, she is Whoopi's favorite topic, so not surprised

Quiet, sweet Sara is VERY stealth-strategic.

I saw her comment as her never-ending way of trying to one up everyone else on the panel.  She's the perpetual legend in her own mind.

Isn't it sad-ish?  Still, she was born/raised in New York and (probably) at the time all her close relatives were still alive and (maybe) living with her.  L.A. would have required moving EVERYONE.

A female in my social circle 1960s to late 80s was very talented and accomplished, yet she found it necessary to brag about herself and embellish her "resume."  Another in our group said, "A discussion with (insert her name here) is always another episode of 'Can You Top This'."

NOTE:  Can You Top This? was an audience-participation show, created by veteran vaudeville comedian "Senator" Edward Ford. During a joke-swapping session at a New York theatrical club, Ford conceived of a radio show where comedians would try to top each other. Can You Top This? debuted on WOR/New York in 1940.

What is the deal with Theresa Caputo’s hair?  Just asking.

I wondered about that, too. I've seen pictures of her before, and her hair was always pouffed up, but the hair on the show was exceptionally high, and IMO not really attractive.

DEFINITELY not attractive.  Bizarre way to get attention?  Her face is so pretty but that hair is a Dumb Distraction.  I think people like Theresa take advantage of gullible or superstitious others...but if she wants to be taken seriously, LOOSE THE LOOK.

What do people on this forum think would happen if Whoopi decided to retire?

Nothing.  People would just have someone new to complain about.

Not really.   For me, I'd think, "Hmmm...does this mean there IS a god?"
