This thread is the best thing I've read all day. I happen to be pregnant too 13.5 weeks. It's been a rough road and I'm not taking anything for granted, but so far so good and I'm so happy to get this chance. I think the thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing my parents getting to be Grandma and Grandpa.
I will say one thing for Teen Mom 2. It gives me someplace to legitimately scream and yell when I'm feeling all hormonal.

Quick question regarding Janelle. Is it possible that her degree would lead to one of those medical transcription/billing jobs that I hear about where you can work from home? Maybe employment outside of MTV is possible.
Maybe, but medical transcription is usually it's own program. She could potentially take what she's presumably learned in her medical assisting program and use it to help get into a medical transcription program. Though there are plenty of those that are scams, so it takes some research and discernment to find a worthwhile program. If she did, she could possibly work from her couch/bed though, so...

Wow that sounds amazing. Where do I sign up?
The more I watch this show the more I think it's less a warning against teen pregnancy and more a cautionary tale about making a baby with someone you don't want to be tied to for the rest of your life. Watching Chelsea deal with Adam, Corey deal with Leah and Jo deal with Kail is emotionally exhausting. If anything is going to show that teenage fantasies are unlikely to result in adult white picket fences Teen Mom 2 is it.

Things you see on Corey and Mirandas "official and APPROVED page" is far from being true, and all I have to say about it is that they may want to be very WISE about what they post because a marriage that PRETENDS to be PERFECT is NEVER perfect. Especially when there is way more not told to a specific spouse, and thats all im going to say. As far as the status on our court hearing.... I am very happy with the results and will talk about it very soon. I think the results were in my daughters BEST interest. This is all im going to say in regards to all the craziness being post on their page as well as any other page. Marriage is far from perfect but my husband and I are very much in love with each other and still remain married and that doesnt plan to change. We love each and EVERYONE of you and wish EVERYONE including those that talk down about us the very best and a Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR. MAY GOD BLESS XOXOXOXO

And if Cory truly is done then that will push my esteem for him into the stratosphere. Especially since he will hopefully be getting primary custody of the girlses.

Well that's too bad. As much as I'm as addicted to this show as Leah is to Cheetos, my better nature wants it to be done so the kids involved can have some sliver of a chance at normalcy.

I was a little confused by that. Was he looking for his buddy at the end or his actual brother? It was alluded to earlier in the episode that the brother has mental or emotional issues. But Mr.AnimalNurse thought he was looking for the friend. So I don't know. I really, really, really thought the buddy was going to be in on it, with all the foreshadowing about how much care his son takes and how as a parent you will to anything for your child.

Well. Apparently she is still sleeping with Adumb. Opinions vary on whether they're just using each other for sex of if Chelsea still has white picket fantasies about him. Either way, in my opinion, her judgement is still pretty suspect. But I will give you that she's the best Mom, however low that bar is.

Is it at all possible that Leah was using while pregnant with the girlses, and perhaps that contributed to Ali's condition?

I don't know if she was using then, but as far as I know Ali's issues are different than what you would see with drug use.

Well, Leah's Facebook page is apparently up and running again. She keeps posting about what a great mother she is. Sure Leah, if you say it enough times on social media that makes it true, right? I should never have read the comments though. It's not good to go to work nauseous.

So now we know the technical aspects will be pulled out of thin air. And the "getting to know our characters" exposition was just bad, bad, bad. Maybe I'm just looking for my next Charlie Epps fix, but I think I caught glimpses of something truly charming in this show. I'm still in, hoping it gels as we go on.

Now all you lawyers (and soon-to-be lawyers) know why I had to give up Grey's Anatomy! I'm in veterinary medicine, but I know enough to get annoyed.
But! Everything I know about the law, I learned on Law and Order and I do love Viola Davis. So for now I'm in.

It could also be Leah's tolerance for those drugs are low. Drugs affect everyone differently. I think she's abusing drugs because she possibly had a high from a low dose and might have enjoyed it. I've never taken those drugs before, but benadryl can knock me out lol.
That's a great point. I'm the same way, can't hold my liquor either.

I'm more inclined to believe that Cory is seeking custody due at least in part to Leah's drug use than that Cory's court actions lead to drug abuse by Leah. But that's just because I'm a mean, cynical hater.
