Amber was absolutely amazing in 'The Wiz'. What a voice. I also thought she had a lot of presence on stage. The whole production was a joy to watch, so colourful, and with so many talented people in it.

Chris on Larry King Now: link. Some quotes: - "Well, I’m playing—as of right now, I believe I’m playing Jennifer Saunders’ hair dresser slash social media consultant." (on his role in the Ab Fab movie) - "I might be doing one soon, hopefully. I’ve been talking about it, it’ll be very vocally demanding so I’m terrified about it." (about Broadway) - "I keep more in touch with the cast, cast and crew (of Glee), like hair and make-up. I keep in touch with them and a few of the cast members." (when asked if he keeps in touch with Ryan Murphy, lol) Chris also instagrammed a pic of himself with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley on the Ab Fab movie set: link.

Especially when the show these former co-workers were on (and helped shape it with their own unique personalities and talents) was your biggest success to date and brought you a lot of critical acclaim (no matter how that all went down the drain in the later seasons of Glee). But then, Ryan never really liked to acknowledge the Glee cast's signifcant contribution in Glee's popularity (except maybe for Lea and Darren). Since he thought he could replace (after copying and pasting their characters) most of the original castmembers in one fell swoop in season 4. So no wonder very few of them now would want to go (or to be fair: get invited) to some RM asslicking gala.

Chris' picturebook 'The Curvy Tree' (part of 'The Land of Stories' series) has been released today. To promote that book Chris appeared on the kids' show Sprout. (video) There also will be an interview with Larry King soon. If you click on the previous link or on this twitter link you can submit questions for Chris.

Let's try to market this: media, articles and interviews
Glorfindel replied to caracas1914's topic in Glee [V]
All I can come up with is the Klaine proposal (5x01), when half of Lima showed up at Dalton, including the noobs/ND and the Warblers. ...Oh, and there also was Sectionals in season 4, as the Warblers and ND both competed then (4x08, when Marley fainted during Gangham Style, ugh). -
According to US Weekly 'Stranger Than Fan Fiction' (oh, the shade and snark will probably be glorious) will be released in the winter of 2017. Let's hope that by that time he most of the tinhatters and other whining "disappointed fans" who can only seem to find fault and personal insult in every little thing Chris does will have moved on to other interests and celebrities they can harass instead. Chris being in the AB Fab movie is like 2 fandoms colliding for me: I used to watch that show. And though we have to wait long for the Noel biopic to finally start (I totally understand Chris' fear of early announcements jinxing a new project) it looks like it will become a good quality movie, considering the people attached that are already announced: writer, director, and actors of course.

Chris will have another live chat (called CC360) tomorrow : link. Plus Little Brown Books announced that there will be a 6th TLoS book, and more: yahoo.com

^That's quite impressive. His series seems to have more staying power on the bestseller lists with every new book that gets released. The Land of Stories is also at #1 for the 3rd week on the independent booksellers bestseller's list. (IndieBound, fiction series)

Chris just tweeted that his book series 'The Land of Stories' is #1 on the New York Times bestselling series list for the 2nd week in a row. He also was a guest on The Late Late Show last night, with Paula Abdul.

Here are the links to The Talk, of both Chris, Adam Lambert (since he doesn't have his own Glee thread), and the 2 videos of them together: - Chris on The Talk. - Adam on The Talk. - Chris and Adam talking about possible songs for their characters Kurt and Elliot. (tumblr link) - Chris and Adam answering fan questions. (tumblr link) These videos make me wish that we had seen more of Starkurt/Kelliot on Glee, as I think they have great chemistry.

As for Chris, and any of the other Glee cast members for that matter, staying on Glee after the first 2-3 seasons and happily cashing in that paycheck, even when some of them are now saying they loved the first seasons the best and/or that Glee went downhill in its later seasons: it's not like most of them had any choice to leave (or stay). The ones who stayed on the show till the end were still bound to their contracts, so even if they had wanted to leave after a few seasons they couldn't. And for some others it was the opposite: even if they wanted to stay they weren't allowed to. I don't believe all the crap Ryan said about that everyone was given the option after season 3 to either stay or leave, and that it completely would be their own free choice. Fox would never have let Lea, Chris (and Cory) go from the show, not even when it was imo quite obvious Ryan wanted them gone. And I think some of the other original cast members wanted to stay after their character's graduation in season 3, or wanted to stay a regular instead of a guest star, like Jenna after season 5. And lol, of course there are other books, book series and authors who were on those bestseller lists longer and/or higher placed than Chris' books. That however doesn't take anything away from the fact that just being on those lists, even if it were for just 1 week (and so far Chris' The Land of Stories books have been on those lists longer than 1 week in the past, and even reappeared sometimes when the next book in the series was released), is a huge thing for any author, and a clear sign that many of his books get sold and therefore are considered successful, whether or not everyone likes them or not or hasn't even heard of them. Chris didn't get several other book deals after his first book for nothing, and now he even has a contract to write multiple books till 2020: a good publisher knows when they have a winner and very probable future money-maker under their wings. Those lists are also nice advertisement material: no matter how long (or short) 'The Land of Stories' series stays on that list in comparison to other books, from now on Chris and his PR team can put on every one of his future books, and let Chris be announced that way at every talk show and interview, that he and the series are a New York Times #1 bestseller. As Chris said (paraphrasing), that's a great accomplishment to trump other celebrities with in a friendly bragging game at Hollywood parties.

'The Land Of Stories' series is now a #1 New York Time bestselling series. (link) (His first book in the series already got him the #1 bestselling author title in children's books in 2012.) To add to this: Chris' latest book from the series, 'The Land of Stories 4: Beyond the Kingdoms', debutes on #10 on the USA Today bestselling list (all books, all genres). (link) It's also currently sold out at both Amazon and Barnes&Noble online. (I finally got my own copy of TLoS4 in the mail today, yay!!!) -ETA- And this was Chris' understandable quite emotional reaction to the news: instagram.

Two quotes from Chris from the AOLBuild.com interview: "I mean, I would absolutely love to, I’d love to and I’ve had many, many meetings and whatnot about doing it and I think I’m just kind of looking for the right thing. I really want to originate or create something new, whether in a new musical or a new play or a revival, just as long as it’s new. I can’t wait and yeah, there are things in the works but I gotta do it, it’s in my blood, I can’t not." "[The Land of Stories] movies are in the works." It seems like Chris has a few future projects in the works besides the Noel Coward biopic, and hopefully not only as a writer but as an actor too.

The people harassing Chris on twitter about this were definitely 99% crisscolfer tinhatters (the usual suspects), or former tinhatters and Klainers who hate Chris now because he won't play along with them or gush about Klaine and/or Darren, as you can easily go visit and read their twitter accounts to check who they stan/ship. As for that ring on his finger quote: that was said by him on the red carpet of 'Prop 8', in March 2012, at an event that was about lgbtqia+ rights, so it was kind of expected of him to give a very positive soundbite about same sex marriage to the media. Plus that was over 3 years ago, before he was even in a long term committed relationship, so he could have changed his mind now, or still want to marry at some point in his life to get that ring on his finger, but not right now while he's still so young, and while his career is promising but still uncertain and keeps him occupied. And furthermore: Chris never even said he wanted to get married then (in 2012), only that he felt he wanted some kind of ring on his finger someday, not necessarily a wedding ring, but maybe a promise ring. So I don't think that him (jokingly I might add) defending his right not to marry (right now at 25) is some 180 degrees turn from that first quote.
