They just come off as dumb people doing things nobody would ever do.

I think this line perfectly encapsulates the Aidan/Carrie and Miranda/Che storylines.

I wish Charlotte had specifically called Lilly out for being so mean and disrespectful to her.

To whom must I beg to get Lisa and her family their own show?

It sucks that they didn't give Nya better writing this season.

  2. This season is too DanaSue focused and I've never loved the character. It's disappointing because I really liked the actress in Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Cal is not as "hot" this season. His hair is awful. I think he and Maddy had chemistry in the beginning but now they just seem awkward.

I think Helen and Ryan were supposed to be the other key storyline I hardly noticed their relationship.

Did they switch Katie? Kyle and Ty are aging out of this show.

  3. Poor Miranda that was the first time she'd seen what a real New York apartment looks like.

Sigh I thought Aidan was boring back in the day and I wasn't excited to see him this time either.  Was it me or did he look AI generated? I always preferred Big to Aidan. Big was New York

    I loved Seema's rant.

I love the Wexleys! I love that they represent a part of the NYC glitterati that's rarely talked about. I love that Lisa is a real mom and doesn't acquiesce to every demand of her children. The girlfriend was gross and I would have kicked her out of my closet too.

I had to ff'd through every scene of the Goldenblatt family. I can't take how nasty Charlotte's kids are and how needy she is. I get that she is struggling to adjust to their growing up but turning them into assholes just makes their segments unwatchable. Is the actor that plays Harry ok? He seems a bit fragile.

  4. What the heck is going on with the wardrobe on this show? Yikes!

Why does the actor who plays Bill squint so much?

The product promotion this season is over the top. Maddy and Cal's extensive conversation about GMC trucks is just weird.

I don't think this season is going to be as good as Season 2 but I'm hopeful it gets better.

have lived in Maryland most of my life. I have not said Maryland as many times in my entire life as these women have said New York in the first 10 minutes of this show.

Why would anyone want to talk about Maryland?

RHONY was one of the best HW shows - until BRAVO cast joy kill Leah and Eboni and moved the show in a different direction -  and alienated viewers.

I don't know what viewers would be upset about in a world where the Kardashians are ubiquitous. I'd be surprised if one can find something about Bethenney or Ramona worth watching in 2023--unless Ramona was there when they raided Mar-a-lago

I liked this fresh version of RHONY. I liked that I didn't think about menopause or plastic surgery once while watching.

but in this case I feel that they were off the mark because it's been a very long time since there have been very many yellow cabbies that are white or even American born in NYC.

LOL the racism went away because there are no white cabbies?

Black people take Lyfts and Ubers because taxis don't stop for us no matter who the driver is. It subsided a little right after 9/11 because some people wouldn't ride with Sikhs and those of south asian descent so those drivers began picking us up but that stopped soon enough.

Whatever Kristen Davis did to her face is weird. SJP should not pull her hair back from her face. This show is so weird in the world we live in. I think in the future episodes of this will be held up as the ideal, in the same way, Andy Griffith show is. This life exists in a limited way but it will be held up as the norm.

  7. Has it ever been discussed that the Bates didn't have bad luck--it was Thomas every time. Thomas and O'brien ensured his arrest the first time and Thomas tipped off Scotland Yard resulting in Anna's arrest the second time. Seems their only bad luck was working with Thomas. I know everyone roots for Thomas because he's the queer character but I despise him and begrudge him any happiness he found in the subsequent movies.

I don't understand why they don't immediately threaten dismissal of impertinent servants.  The way Stohl treats Tom Branson when they go on the shooting trip is deplorable. That would have been an awesome time for Mary to deliver one of her spikey put downs.

  8. Did I miss someone else mentioning that what Jonathan/Peter was trying to sell the kids were cut rate, Nurse Ratchet old people homes? Mom is horrible and married another horrible. At least some unsuspecting nice person won't get seduced by either of them.

As if Shiv is the only one to betray the others!

Oh for sure--they're all horrible. However Shiv is the one who thought herself superior, smarter, in on the joke, but in reality, she's not as clever as she thinks she is--as Holly Hunter pointed out.

Something that jumped out at me a lot when Logan first died and everyone insisted the boys be in charge; Roman was always making sure to include her. She was the one who couldn't focus or refused to cooperate.  I hate that what she did was so weighted by sibling rivalry.

Shiv thinks she has nothing to prove but just like the boys she'd kill for the top job.

I also commend the writers for not incorporating some epic speech about democracy, patriotism, or the role of media. I think we're all a little too far along for that.

  10. Holy shirt balls you guys!

Did anyone else think Kendall was gonna drown when they were at the beach?

Shiv became her mother--self centered, manipulative, and parasitic.

I'm going to miss this show. It feels like the end of an era.

The excuse we were given for Nate’s random acts of vicious pettiness was his father gaslighting Nate’s exceptional talents

And Ted Lasso's father committed suicide when he was just a teen. Fuck Nate.

  12. Nate is petty, small, and ungrateful. He doesn't have addiction as an excuse for his behavior--his character is him. Just because he's inept at cruelty doesn't mean he's owed forgiveness, but I'm petty.

LaLa "The Mistress" Kent is the worst of them

She didn't befriend Randall's wife and then sleep with him.  Tom slept with a woman who was friends with his partner and then tried to gaslight her into believing it was her own fault. What the fuck is it about this show that people lose all sense of right and wrong? Calling the cops on a Black woman is racism and sleeping with your partner's friend is wrong.

Lisa Vanderpump getting checked by Lala was beautiful.

Willa is the least horrible person in the core family

Ah but she is evolving isn't she? Willa is Marcia now.

I couldn't muster up even a little sympathy for Roman. Kudos to Kieran Culkin he deserves all the awards for his work this year.

I think Marcia and Kerry are scheming. Speaking of Kerry what would a lawyer do if she were denied access to the funeral? I love that the most arrogant people on this show tend to be the most dim.

Is Mattson not very articulate or should I watch with subs?

I stopped watching after the first episode because of all the swearing.  It was f..k this, f..k that plus other words that I found offensive. I also don't like Keri Russell's character.  I was mainly watching because of Rufus Sewell, whom I really like, but I will skip it.

I almost did too but trust me it's well worth a watch. I'm on my second watch.

I think they were going for Tia Leoni's Madame Secretary of State in the way she didn't like fancy clothes or stylists. However Tia Leoni's hair wasn't as messy but she tried.

I think they should pull back the comedic bits just a smidge. So many of those moments are either forced or entirely wtf.

I am no fan of Micah but the nurturing comment did bug me a bit. Maybe she isn't nurturing to Paul because he is a grown man who can take care of himself.

He was trying not to say mean or bully so he said he didn't see nurturing in her.  However, would you want a woman who behaved like she and Irina did to be the mother of your children? What kind of people would they become?

Vanessa is the worst host in the history of hosting. The host isn't supposed to be combative with the guests. Also did she watch the same show the rest of us did? wtf

  17. I think Damage is a fantastic movie. I love it for introducing me to Jeremy Irons back then.

However, Obsession doesn't do the source material any justice. There was smoldering chemistry between Irons and Binoche; I'm not getting that from these actors. It's gratuitous and creepy. Also if you're going to do a full frontal, do it with your chest out like Chris Pine in The Outlaw King.

I found this a big disappointment.

  18. I think the tension between them stems from Roman wanting to be as successful as Logan in his own right while Shiv and Kendall want to beat Logan.

I too wish there had been more Gerri in this episode. I would have loved for Karl to try and tell a joke. "Frank start. Be funny!"

Did we know Greg's dad was hoeing at the county fair?

Really glad the show is back.
