Per Molly, it has been a year since the wedding. So Jamal can't be the father of the baby. I believe it was even mentioned that Barry was in jail/prison for several months before his "execution" and they were only just recently able to find out the gender of the baby. I just don't think the time line would work for Jamal to be the father. However, I sometime get distracted while watching and could be completely wrong.
