  1. I'm totally fascinated by fallout shelters and all that civil defense stuff, so I was hoping we'd get to see one, but instead just got zombie postpeople rushing out.  I do like the way that scene was shot, though, with the swinging lights.  It still worked; you could tell what was happening.

I also like that Dog is riding comfortably on the sled, under a blanket with grandma.  Brilliant.

I like where this show is going.  I think it will be interesting and I have more faith in the writers on this show than on TWD.  Which I wouldn't have said originally.  Oh, well.

  2. I thought she was mean to him at first because she was so scared to get attached.  Look at what happened in "The Grove."  (my most favorite Walking Dead episode ever)  I would never allow myself to get close to anyone again, much less a kid.

  3. Do people heal faster after being bitten by Murphy?  I was thinking maybe that was one reason he bit 10K; otherwise, I don't think 10K could run around like he's doing.  Or maybe I'm giving the show too much credit.

And can I just say how much I love that this show has all these different ethnicities and that they fit into the show naturally and aren't shoved in to say, "HEY LOOK AT ALL THESE MINORITIES WE HAVE".

And Doc's comment about 10K's "brooding good looks"?  So spot on.  :-)

  4. It said at the beginning that it was a flashback.  I don't remember how exactly, and I've erased it from my DVR.

Im wondering if the kid is alive, too.  And if he'll make an appearance soon.

I didn't see 10k in the previews for next week, but I'm going to be optimistic and just say that was deliberate to keep us wondering.

Even with all the giant plot holes, I still didn't mind it.   This isn't supposed to be super serious like TWD, so I can forgive most of them.  The doctor should be turning into a fungus, though. I can't forgive that. ;)

I actually quite like this show, I think much of the hostility towards it stems from the fact that many expect it to be a clone of The Walking Dead but with different people in it, when it's actually a very different show in tone and content. It even looks different because it's shot in such bright light as opposed to the dingy gloom of TWD.

Well, I'm glad someone likes it.  But my hostility towards the show is because of its bad writing, bad acting, bad plotting....all of which I probably could have forgiven if they had even attempted to give us what they promised: the downfall of society during the zombie apocalypse.  Instead, we got "nine days later" and now we're wandering around the Mexican desert.  All righty then.

  6. So this show is only fun if I can snark along live with you guys.  But I thought maybe if I just read the thread while I watched, that it would help.

Nope.  I got to the dogs,  turned the show off and deleted it from the DVR.

It's sad when a show is so bad you can't even hate watch it properly.

Ok, I missed part of the episode, what new thing did Chris do to freak everyone out?

Okay, so it's hard to focus on this show, but I *think* it's because he didn't help Madison when she was about to get eaten, and then he apparently threatened his step-sister, but I think I missed that part?

  8. I'm sorry I missed the live chat with you guys last night.  It probably would've made the show more interesting.  As it was, I was just bored, and once again, people act like idiots.

I'm not saying I'd be all cool and calm in the zombie apocalypse (lol no I'd be a hysterical mess), but I feelthey are still acting like this is all just a temporary disruption and things will go back to normal and so HEY DON'T COME BETWEEN ME AND MY SON.   Sometimes the psychologist's kid is the most messed up.  I think that's the case here, though he has definitely proven himself capable.  More than the rest of these morons.

I also don't understand the whole bad guy situation.  You want the Abigail? Okay, shoot everyone and take it.  Don't leave three dingbats on the boat and head back to land with your two captives.  I don't understand the wait to bring it in, except for plot reasons.
