Well I don’t give a shit about football. The only reason I would ever go to a game, watch a game, or care about the Cowboys is to see the dancers. And I LOVE power pom dance. I love it more than ballet, more than broadway. So I want to see it continue and I want to see girls have the pay that enables them to dedicate their entire lives to it. Football or any sport is really just not the same without cheer. I’m sorry I just don’t actually care much about sports. It’s the dancers that are the only draw for me.

I’m happy to hear the girls got a raise, but I honestly believe they each deserve to be paid 60-75K per season. I don’t care if they’re only “in studio” 20 hours a week for practice. They are also expected to practice outside of practice, i.e cardio, weights, stretching, extra dance rehearsals. Their every fucking meal revolves around maintaining the weight requirement. Their every public move is seen as an extension of their ambassadorship. It’s time to cut the crap with the girls needing a second job and allow professional cheer and dance to become that one job that they can focus all of their energy into. They deserve it. And God knows every NFL team has the money to pay these girls a good salary. Not to mention... will full time cheerleaders, they could do even more appearances and host even more workshops and camps to bring in money. Just saying. These girls are worth it.

It sounds like Gina has body dysmorphia and likely an eating disorder. Someone who loves her needs to get her help. EDs are not a joke. People die from them every day. Gina is not at fault for this either. She needs love and support at this time.

The photo they just posted shows 34 girls, both Kat and Meredith are in uniform. Savannah, Alexis, and Christina are missing...

NOT TRUE. The quality of dancer has gone UP, not down, and that has caused the mediocre dancers to stand out more. In the earlier seasons, all of the dancers were mediocre so they all looked like rockstars... the girls in the earlier seasons were prettier but had much less dance talent. Many of them were competitive cheerleaders. Now the squad is made up of mostly technically trained dancers. Anyways, it’s a comparison thing. You’re disappointed in the “weak dancers” bc we’ve now had girls like Holly P come through and show us what could be... but those past seasons... just no. In the earlier seasons, a girl without dance training had a very good shot of making the squad. I remember watching them and thinking those squads were not powerful or clean. There is much more punch and precision now. Anyways, it’s the fact that there is more range now due to some very talented dancers joining that makes the lesser dancers stand out. The sea of mediocre is gone. Sometimes it’s good to have a squad that’s all on the same level bc then no one stands out and even if it’s not perfect, everything looks “right” bc of everyone is doing the same thing. Now we have range. I’ve seen more talented dancers come through every year BC OF THE SHOW. They want the exposure. We didn’t get girls who had danced professionally in Hollywood or Vegas before like we do now. We also didn’t get as many college dance captains. The older squads were mostly Texas country bumpkins who went straight from high school and studio dance teams to DCC. Now we have college educated women who furthered their training on college pom squads, girls from other professional dance teams, and even girls who worked professionally in Hollywood. These girls would wipe the floor with the earliest squads. Perception is deceptive. Having such talented high caliber dancers come in has increased the range, making the mediocre dancers stand out. But those earliest squads... were 100% mediocre dancer, which is why it was less noticeable.

Pure manifestation. She spoke it into existence. She said “this is gonna be my year” in January and somehow that worked. She’s still a lazy dancer, but it’s like they couldn’t see that beyond the veil of her magic spell.

lmfao my mom cringed and said “no” when Maddie did her side aerials. Not gonna lie, I know she does them with bent legs on purpose but it looks like she’s about to knock her head on the floor they’re so low I was thinking... I bet Kat and Meredith were meant to be the last two cuts but then Julia had to remove herself due to the car accident

I hate to say it, but Kristin is a no for me too. Even in the field performances, there’s not enough energy in her dance. Taylor P, who dances next to her, makes more mistakes but at least she does it with power. I guess it came down to consistently being on beat with the moves and so they kept her... I also can’t believe Charm gave her sticker to Kat over Alexandra.

Agree with all of this. Also Alexandria and Raven. I know the DCC have several white Hispanic girls but I’d love to see some brown Latinas on the team too.

No way! Billie Eilish is the new sound of pop. She’s my Tim Burton Pop Princess and I LOVE HER. Trav really brought the song to life. Amy gave me chills watching her perform that song, which surprised me bc she’s usually a little bland.

So my mom called and was like hey you’ll never guess what I saw on tv last night? That DCC show you used to like lol So anyways these are her thoughts. Alexandria is her favorite and she’s upset she got cut. She wants to know why. Victoria is her next favorite. When I told her people didn’t like VK, she said “oh they’re jealous cause she’s Travis’ fav right?” I said no, they don’t like her bc her mom is best friends with Kelli. She said, “who’s Kelli?” (LMAO) I said, she’s the director. She then goes on to tell me that shouldn’t matter bc Victoria is talented enough to make the squad. I told her that some people think she’s not talented. She disagrees. She thinks Kat should’ve been cut and she was disappointed that K&J didn’t relay Travis’ critiques as harshly as he gave them in the private meeting. She thought they were too nice and not serious enough. Anyways, I will now be going to my parents house on Fridays since I found out they have CMT! God bless.

Ohh, I understand now! I haven’t seen tonight’s episode yet. Earlier this season, Kelli said technique is great “but the reality is we’re going to put boots over those feet.” They have to decide what they want. They can’t say you don’t need to be trained and then cut girls for things like turnout and feet or drag them for not having a dance vocabulary. I was hopeful that Kelli's statement meant they’d changed their minds about technical training.

I think the triangles are about what’s going to look best on screen. That means the prettiest girls who can consistently do the choreography. A Tess Gina Hannah triangle would be too harsh. They all have harsh features. Molly softens them out. It’s not about who’s individually more beautiful, it’s about the picture that’s created by the three girls in front of the camera. Show group is based more on who’s the best technical dancer.... I would imagine that they put some girls on show group for looks and interview skills, but a lot of them make it bc they can do tricks and skills
-
But then only trained dancers would make it.... I’m not ok with that. It’s not like the audience can tell who’s trained or not and untrained girls can have better performance quality and shine in other ways.

I do respect her for that. Did she ever say her cat’s name? I think the cats are winning this season tbh. Every time I rewatch episode 4, I pause for Gatsby, cry and hug my cat 🥺😻
