  1. Does anyone else feel that for the past two or three seasons the show has gotten a bit obsessed with charity plugs?

And I cannot agree enough that Mark Harmon had better chemistry with the park ranger than any of his agents.   And Tim was underutilized.   Of course, Bishop is trotted out repeatedly (gag).

Let's go ahead and kill off Bishop in the season finale, please!!!! We can work with the rest.

  2. Yes, Fliz -- I loved the lamp part too!

I'm clearly outnumbered, but I still love Charo.   She is performing at almost the same level as her Love Boat days and she's over 65!  I hope I move half that well at her age.   I also loved Mr. T.   I pity the fool who doesn't.   Yes, he was bad, but he tried.

I hope either the raunchy housewife or SNL guy are out first.

Best surprise of the night -- Rashad.   He was really good.

  3. Favorite line of the episode was Uncle Barry asking if it was Thanksgiving!

Wonder if any kids in my neighborhood need to learn Kara-te?   My floors are desperate for a thorough cleaning.

  4. I often struggle with FJ and am shocked at how easily the contestants get it when I do.   and last night I was shocked it was a TS!!

Am getting really annoyed by Kristin's tongue in cheek move.   She does it all the time!

I had a really hard time with this episode and still haven't finished it.  I abhor "This Time It's Personal!" storylines so much!!!  Is it worth finishing the episode?  Or should I just skip the rest?

I vote skip.   I'm sure we'll be completely looped back in next week.   **sigh**

  6. From must watch programming to 'when I get around to it'.   Way too much Bishop (which in a good episode for me is less than 2 minutes).   The fiancée story was ridiculous (didn't she just admit she was dating, so they got engaged after 4 dates? and don't get me started on the 27 Dresses clothing changes.   Gag!)   Yes, Gibbs avenged his wife's death, but they were married for 10 years and had children.   This was a two or three month rebound.

Let's get rid of Bishop (won't happen) and deal with the newbies.

  7. Cranky curmudgeon here --   I hated that Grandma keyed the car.   Hated it.   Much like dog-earing the page of a book, she ruined the resale value of the car just because he easily believed she was over 65 and got her a free motorized chair.   I also thought the claiming false racism was inappropriate as well as the trying to con people at the garage sale.   Really not the best episode, even if they did pull out Locklear.

  8. Chris was robbed.   And Cartier was not the worst one up there.   Of course, she was safe and boring, so bye-bye, but she really was the best seamstress of the entire season.

Coming back for one more comment -- Mawwaa's not fully sewn on material on her shorts.    That's sloppiness, not movement.

Are we going to be forced to have an Iggy win?

  9. Iggy's headpieces are getting stranger.   Is she channeling Steve Martin's Wild and Craaaaaaaazy Guy?   I think an arrow will be next.

Loved that Cartier won -- she had a woman with a real figure that she built a dress for and, while Tieler's dress was gorgeous, his client was the most model-esque shaped.   The designer with the most model-esque model and strong look typically win.

Two looks up on that runway that I would not have wanted to wear:  Iggy's hot mess and Mawwaa's open backed number.   And I adore polka dots.

  10. I wasn't surprised at all that Final Jeopardy was a triple stumper.   I got so focused on the song being a hit in 1933 that I googled hits of 1933.  Color me shocked that Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf spent 8 weeks on the charts.  (It is catchy and you can dance to it, though).

Is there anybody here whose first thought when told to make a sandwich, and finding the bread aisle empty, wasn't "go to frozen foods!"?

I wasn't excited by any of the presentations, but I was glad the winner said he was donating to Guide Dogs.

Right!!!   And if the Texas Toast/ Garlic bread was gone, I bet ethnic foods might have some wraps.  Though you could make a quick, small biscuit in that time frame.   Or do a lettuce wrap.

I was grossed out by the latkes as 'bread'.

    We Tauri get off easy.

We get stuff done AND have steak and potatoes.  Win!

Nooooooo, not Jim.  So not fair.

Ditto Jaime.  The chick who I've never bothered to learn her name (is low hanging fruit not a nice name?) should have been gone.

  13. I live in a town with a lot of seniors (we have two sun city resort communities) and, while I know nipped and tucked ladies who rock some modern fashion, few of them are wearing bondage couture.    My favorite was Allie's Lucy Ricardo dress, but I didn't hate bully Mawwwaa's look.   My favorite was actually A'Kai's.

I honestly believe that each of the shows that offer the homes as a prize are a complete sham.  The recent Smart Home was in my town.  I was super excited because it was close to where I live and my kids school.  I applied twice a day every day with the hopes of winning.  No dice.  Not really a big deal until I see the so-called winner talk about how her daughters don't know which bedroom they want.  Even that didn't seem bad until the Parade of Homes and guess what house was for sale?  Yes, the Smart Home.

I regularly enter to win those homes and, honestly, if I won, I'd sell it.  I would go on air with HGTV and seem gung ho, but there have only been one or two of all their houses that would be ideal for my lifestyle.   (I HATE open concept.)

  15. Just popped out to ask why it couldn't have been Bishop.   We are swimming in agents right now and I like the two new newcomers far better than her.

  16. Two of the three designers in that finale wowed me -- Edward and Timothy put together fun windows that were brand focused.  Personally, I would have preferred the third designer be either Spenser (crazy ideas) or Erin (actual window knowledge).   Maybe I just disliked Tara's constant borrowing or lack of completion or sloppy details, but I don't think she should have been a finalist.

Remember that we don't see the full process, only the production edit.   Erin may have been made to be a villain to give Tara a more charming storyline.  Only those there truly know.  I think she was probably aloof, but who really knows.

My DVR did not tape Jeopardy last night  . I work during the time it is on . After seeing about the Redskins , I assume it is because the local ABC station is in North  Carolina, and the Panthers play .

I had to come here to see how Cindy did , and am glad she is still winning and going strong .

Wow -- I'm in the Charlotte market and thankfully had Jeopardy.

I'm still suspicious about the therapist.

Thank you for reminding me about Richard.   I can't tell if he is up to nefarious deeds, completely curing Diana of her issues from outside the box therapy, just a jerk, or a legitimate albeit strange romance.  My dream for him to just be a combination of the therapist-miracle worker and a secret Mr. Darcy is completely unlikely though.  I like Diana and she really should be a decent role model on the show.  Rather she is treated as a comedic fall guy while Liza, the liar, is set up as the logical star of the show.
