  1. Was production doing Wendy dirty or does she really eat in that annoying and smug fashion? I got the ick watching that but I had to laugh as it coincided with Gizelle staring daggers at her.  I have never seen anything like it. She desperately needs a course in table manners.

How come Pepper hugged everyone except for Zach who was sobbing about being married to Hurricane Michaela?  Instead she just stared at him.  Pepper was one of the people who paired him with Michaela, she needs to be making amends to him...

Because she hated him at first sight hence matching him with Michaela. 😂

More than likely though, I think she was frustrated and uncomfortable because of her high failure rate and Zach was belligerent when no one died.

  3. Johnny wrapped up the meeting with Dr Pepper like a business meeting “You have given us a lot to think about and I will make sure my employees are on board” 😂

Sir, she was talking to you. Jamie on unfiltered points out that Bao can’t win. Either she is a Debbie downer or when she is a literal cheerleader, she can’t please him. His response “I just want her to be real” Sir, you criticized her core personality traits. As in she is too giddy, she is hyper focused on perfection whilst painting. This guy. Throw the whole man away, Bao.

Jose is muzzled for now after his own hurricane fit and Rachel, could you hurry it up a bit? I am on the west coast and by the time she finishes a sentence, I have fallen asleep. But no worries, the saga of Michaela and Zach woke me right up. Can’t wait for next week.

  4. Thanks to all of your diverse and  wonderful analysis of this conflict, I feel better about my guilty pleasures. Seriously, I feel like I learned some valuable lessons in conflict resolution. 😂

I read in some article once that the calmer you remain in conflict, the more wound up the other side gets and basically loses the argument.

Wendy’s style of confrontation is basically CNN anchors and commentators not letting anyone getting a word in edgewise and fighting for airtime.

Gizelle hazes and uses mean girl sorority antics. And all big sis mean girls need a minion hence Robyn.

Ashley is a chaos agent and loves to keep stirring shit. Her new mom act hasn’t fooled anyone.

Candiace goes for the jugular but doesn’t know when to quit. Relentless chihuahua style.

Karen’s style is most intriguing. And she keeps me guessing.

Mia’s still trying to figure out her style, her age and her job.

It was a refreshing season. There was such a different dynamic among the crew (minus Lexi, of course). I find it pretty adorable that every crew member wanted to go to Split together after the season.

I'm fine with romances in future seasons. However, what I never want to see again is verbal, physical and sexual abuse/assault being swept under the table like it was for most of this season and previous seasons. If the producers want to give us drama that we really want to see, then they should break the fourth wall in these situations and let us see people like Lexi being fired from the show immediately.

Exactly! Francesca was able to get shit stew Elizabeth fired but she had a reasonable captain Lee on her side who listens to his department heads.

That's why Gizelle told her "we pinch you and you come back with a sledgehammer."

Yes, she does need to stop. But I also see another pattern with her and I think she needs counseling to recognize the pattern and shut it down:

People close to her start chaos (or feed into it), Candiace is left dealing with the chaos and then Candiace gets blamed for the chaos the other people started:

I want Candiace to use her projector to reflect that chaos back on to the people who started it and keep it moving.  For example, the incident at Foxy's:

What Happened: Ashley started the incident at the table.  Candiace initially ignored Ashley.  Chris fed into the chaos by entertaining Ashley.  As Ashley started to attack Chris, then Candiace piped up. When Chris tried to talk further with Ashley, she dismissed him to go on the full attack with Candiace. Well, Candiace is going to respond at that point.  Then Chris starts manhandling Candiace like a child to get her up from the table in front of the other.  Then he leaves and goes outside and says "he's tired."

What Chris Should Have Done:  When Ashley piped up with her bullshit towards Chris, Chris should have told her firmly "Michael and I don't get along; you and my wife don't get along.  Maybe one day we can get to the point of being civil, but right now is not the time or place to discuss it."  If Ashley continued with the bullshit, Chris should've turned to Candiace and asked if she wanted to leave because he's not dealing with the bullshit and he doesn't want HER to deal with the bullshit.  I betcha Candiace would've left with nary a tantrum or tears.

What Candiace Should Have Done: When Ashley said "I'm done talking to you, I'm talking to your wife!" Candiace should've reflected the bullshit back onto to Chris and Ashley by telling Ashley "I don't like you and I don't want to talk to you.  You were having a conversation with my husband so you can continue addressing him."  This reflects the bullshit back on Chris, who shouldn't have been talking to Ashley in the first place and projects it back on Ashley, who started the situation in the first place.  Don't worry about throwing Chris under the bus because he threw Candiace under the bus first by 1) talking to Ashley in the first place 2) acting like it's Candiace's responsibility to stop a situation he fed into.

While Candiace does need to learn to control her emotions, she also needs to recognize many of the people around her BENEFIT from her tantrums and that's why they throw little chaos bombs onto her lap, then run away scot free.  She gets burnt but they have clean hands. I'm sorry but I would be tight if my husband was throwing me under the bus to make himself look better in front of these people, he's the mature one, he's being the bigger person (unlike Candiace).  Candiace knows what he was doing, which is why that cloud came over her face when Chris was trying to suck up to Ashley.

I want Candiace to reflect/project everybody's bullshit back onto them and just concentrate on herself and her projects and endeavors.

Well said. I wish I could like this post more because you hit the nail on the head on how it escalated to begin with. Chris attempting to remove Candiace from the table as you would an unruly toddler makes HIM look good at Candiace’s expense especially when we could all see how Ashley was loud and instigating the mess. Maybe he was just drunk but he engaged Ashley twice and twice Ashley took the opportunity to slam Candiace.

I never liked or agreed when people dubbed him the Candiace whisperer. The only reason I could stand him was how he was the only one to stand up to creepy Darby but now he wishes he could get along with him and not get involved with the women’s issues with each other. How magnanimous of him. Candiace should start at home when watching her back.

This is what I mean by Candiace not having anyone to defend her.  Michael (who has been charged with crimes) has called Candiace (who has not been arrested or charged with any crime) a "criminal" on camera on several occasions.  He's denigrated Chris and called him white trash, a loser, a nobody etc.  Michael's wife wrote a retaliatory statement to the police as get back on your wife.  Why do you seek to get to a friendly place with these people? You could see a cloud come over Candiace's face when Chris said that, too.

Having said that, I don't think Chris is using Candiace for TV time because if he is, he should be promoting his cooking classes and he's not doing that (and he should be).

Then Ashley should've blasted G, not Candiace.  And I'm tired of Ashley's ghetto voice everytime she talks to or about Candiace.

We want to get on Candiace but the other parties involved can hit the Ignore button on Candiace, too.  But they won't because picking picking picking at Candiace serves a purpose for them.  Ashley (and Andy Cohen) are still tight about Candiace's tweets from almost 3 years ago, singing a sob story of "I was in Labor!"  But Ashley, why are you mad tweeting while in labor? Why is Candiace even on your mind while you're in labor?

The easiest way to handle Candiace is to ignore her but they won't because Candiace having tantrums serves real purposes for all of them, Chris and Dorothy included.

Exactly and it makes me want them to fire Candiace so Ashley can't lean on Candiace hate anymore to help her skate through with her bullshit.

As long as Candiace is on the show, the rest of the castmembers get to skate on their BS and fly under the radar because we can always point at Candiace.

Monique is right where she belongs.  The problem wasn't necessarily Monique fighting; it was Monique in such a rage it took 6 grown men to pull her off of Candiace.  She had all of this rage to the point of uttering death threats on Candiace and then ran a year long smear campaign on Candiace.  And the gag is, this rage was towards Gizelle (and Charrisse and Gigi).  She should've been making Gizelle's (and Charrisse & Gigi's) head ring.  Candiace got her ass whooped because of what Gizelle, Charrisse and Gigi did.  Had Chris so tight he was cussing Charrisse out at the Safeway.

She's at her house where she needs to be and needs to stay.  She could end up being mad at Gizelle and trying to whoop Wendy's ass next.

If you are 35 years old and getting mad at a "yo momma" joke, it's because what was said in the joke is true about your momma.  That goes for Mia and that goes for Mariah of "Married 2 Medicine" too.

What Candiace says to them is very noteworthy and strikes a nerve; otherwise

    • Ashley wouldn't still be pressed Candiace called Michael a slavedriver/overseer, because we all know when Michael says Jump, Ashley has to say "How High" or he will put her back out onto the streets
    • Gizelle wouldn't have gotten pressed over Candiace calling her house a $900K tear down cabin; now we see other cast members calling her house "Motel Gizelle," asking why they would be jealous "of this", shading the construction of her home.  Gizelle was mad because she knows she should have torn down that house and started from scratch; that's what everyone else in the DMV does
    • Mia wouldn't have thrown the bowl of salad at Candiace for calling her a nightwalker and asking where her pimp was; Mia didn't throw the salad because of anything Candiace was saying about her mother, Mia threw that salad because she was upset at being called a ho
    • Monique wouldn't have beat Candiace's ass for calling out the fact Monique was pretending to be asleep so she wouldn't have to deal with Candiace; the "Good Night, I'm Sleep" triggered Monique's rage because Gizelle was laughing at Monique being called out but Monique knew she couldn't lay hands on Gizelle and get away with it so she beat Candiace's ass instead

Candiace, more often than not, tells the truth about the women, and they all know it and that's why they say "Candiace's mouth is a trash can, it's reckless etc."  But one thing nobody has said about Candiace's mouth is that she's lying about them.

If we're intellectually honest about the black community and "yo momma

Valid points and I condemned Monique last season despite liking her and disliking Candiace for the same reason I am condemning Candiace this season. While I  can generally see Candiace’s point of view however and this is a big but to me, Slave driver is so beyond offensive that people will forget the initial transgressor if the punishment does not fit the crime.

Ashley does her job as resident shit stirrer incredibly well and Kyle from RHOBH could use some pointers from her.

Robyn reminds me of the energy vampire in what we do in the shadows.

I believe it would be a way of expressing respect for them. Bao would have totally impressed his family and Johnny knew that. He said he didn't want his family to fall in love with her if he didn't think she would be around long term. So, he was hoping that the family would side with him, but they saw right through him and called him on it. They would have adored Bao.

Exactly. It shows how thoughtful she is by going above and beyond to learn his family’s mandarin names. I can tell you from personal experience how my family absolutely adores my ex because he took the time to google a few cultural norms and common phrases. Showing interest in another culture shouldn’t be that impressive but it is because so many don’t make the effort.

Almost all of these episodes has had me screaming: "Get a lawyer!"  The custody situation, the mold infestation, the tenants who refuse to leave.  On and on.

I realize the point of this is to show how helpless and ignorant of the system Alex is, but all I could think during that mold infestation episode was the six-figure settlement she could get if she only knew to retain a plaintiff's attorney.

My thoughts exactly. Instead of shaming her, the pediatrician should have suggested an attorney.

Candiace's mother is NOT a psychologist. She is a social worker who seems to hardly work, which is probably a good thing.

I was struck by how many times Mia tried to recuse herself from fighting with Candiace, who kept turning up to an 11 when it was unwarranted. Mia may be messy but she isn't "low budget" like Candiace, who is squarely so because of her vile mouth. She brings this entire franchise down.

That line about starting but not finishing? Girl really wants to get dragged on national TV all over again.

I stand corrected as well re Dot’s occupation.

The reason why some of us get more triggered by Candiace than the others who may be equally messy is that Candiace escalates while her cast mates may even de escalate at certain points except for Monique last season. She had a vendetta and I am glad she is gone.

For instance, when Mia walked into the room, it seemed like she was open to reconciliation but Candiace just wouldn’t stop with the low blows.

  11. I was thinking Katie was a bit smug last charter about her ability to work better under pressure and how she preferred  physical stress over mental stress.

In which case, she should immediately demote herself to 2nd stew. she may be the most hardworking stew but she is not fit to manage and lead.
Making the hard decision to fire Lexi and training Delaney (who was willing to work) could have prevented everyone from burning out.

I know a lot went on between Candiace and Mia, but I’m still stuck on G and his cringeworthy behavior. Yikes

A perfect case study for any psychologist besides the quack Ma Dot.
It shed light on why Mia felt it was appropriate to bring Chris up in her Twitter fight against Candiace. Apparently there are no boundaries in her marriage and  no real security in any of her primary relationships.

  13. This episode and the next are reminders for anyone who was beginning to forget Candiace’s past behavior including myself. Agree with everyone that she throws grenades in response to stones.

As sloppy as G was, the vibe was still positive until Candiace arrived.

  14. Jose’s apology was crap and his use of flash cards to demonstrate contrition was laughable but hey not only will Rachel take it, she will declare herself back in love. You in danger, girl!

Ryan was full of shit when at the dinner table he said he watched Jose while Rachel was talking and he seemed so captivated and like he cared so much. I rewound it to discover Ryan’s sarcasm at play again. José was fidgeting and his eyes were darting as if to think of what to say next quickly rather than listen to Rachel and voila, we get the planned, obligatory public kiss we are so familiar with these two.

Unpopular opinion: I like Myrla but I can’t stand Gil. I think his constant negging is a huge turn off and will get old fast but Myrla has surprised me with her patience. Also, he is MESSY! Which as a viewer I love but for a husband, No thanks. There is only room for one messy Queen in my relationship. 😂

MVP- Ryan. I am really enjoying his sense of humor. When he informed Johnny that he would be alright but the flowers wouldn’t be, I legit cackled.

Johnny and Bao give me so much emotional whip lash! Why did they have to criticize each other right during probably the most exciting adrenaline rush they were experiencing? Couldn’t they just stay positive? Oh No, Mr. Hypercritical has some critiques about how sex happens out of the blue for him. Umm Excuse you, if you don’t like that, change it. Be the big spoon and take initiative. Damn!

Every party has a pooper which brings me to Mikaela and Zach. I see that Zach has leaned into the only thing that worked for them-sex. So now Mikaela has declared herself in love. Zach, you in danger, girl!

I think Lexi was doing her job when the season first started, but as time went on, she lost interest. She was odd man out and the others had their little clique going. The only one  really nice to her was Delaney. Lexi is no innocent,  but neither are the rest and she no way deserved everyone going at her like mob rule.  When Mat would take jabs and insult her and she fought back (way too hard) she then got attacked by the rest of them.  It annoyed me that they let Mat get away with the fake injury and leaving.  He even bullied Katie into getting rid of her and Delaney. Wrong or right, Katie should have led her crew, told Mat to shush and show respect to her girls,  and handled Lexi herself.

All the men are wusses on the crew.

And that’s exactly where she went wrong. She can’t just stop caring about the work she committed to doing because she made herself a pariah due to her own actions. By the end, She was actually hurting the whole team’s earnings. They had to work around her and bring on someone to pick up the slack. And then we see her doing even less work than before!

On the other hand, Matt apologized and took accountability and from there continued to kill it in the kitchen.
    Thus, increasing everyone’s pockets.

People may forgive a drunken night at a  party if you are at least a team player the rest of the year.

  17. Mzi needs to get his drinking in check. Watching him drunk is cringe-inducing. And yes him snapping at Lexi when she was actually complimenting Mat was unnecessary.

I think Sandy actually wanted to keep Lexi but the boat had spoken. Kudos to Malia for actually reporting Lexi in a way Katie never had. Finally.

To me, Lexi’s worst offense (and there are numerous) was not doing her job properly. Work ethic can’t be taught and for me, as a trainer, what matters most to me, beyond actual experience is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. She had none of those qualities.

Matt is a creep but because he does his job well and keeps a clean kitchen, he was allowed to skate on multiple occasions.

I hope Lexi learns from this-You can’t be bad at your job AND have a bad attitude.
