The finale made me feel nauseous when Ariana mention that Tom only tried to apologize to her on camera.  He truly is performative and still getting a better edit than he deserves.  When he got together with Rachel it was probably his intention to edge Ariana off of that show, but even with Rachel gone, it looks like he will still get his wish.  He really is the producers’ golden boy even after all the scary things he has done.  I hate seeing trash men like him win.  I hope they do cancel the show, just so it means that he is out of a job and, like James predicted, is still playing crappy shows with his crappy band in his old age 😂

Sandoval is not winning.  VPR is maybe a year or two from total demise.  He is 40 years old and his bar is struggling, his band is a joke.

Ariana is going (round 2) on Broadway.

No, he is definitely not winning.

  2. Ariana has refused to film with one person.  And that refusal has not stuck.  She filmed with him countless times through the season.  She can refuse to talk to him.  Well within her rights.

Of course, all this happened BEFORE she landed the show that is going to delay the next season of VPR, but based on the sour grapes in the last five minutes of this episode, I can imagine every last one of them is madder than a wet hen in a hurricane.

If Ariana left the show, she might be missed, but what with Chicago on Broadway and the TV show hosting gig and the commercials, she wouldn’t be hurting and the rest would still be relying on their days ten years ago.

Ariana did not go looking for these opportunities; they came to her.  And that just trips the trigger for every one of these lost souls that cannot get away from their 20s when they are in their 40s.

She was extremely weird with Carl’s mom.  She gave so many non-verbal cues that she was either annoyed by his mom or just thinks she’s icky.. she had her back turned to her, she was ice cold.  She kept looking at the camera when she had to hug her or even speak with her.  Lindsay does NOT like or want acceptance from Carl’s mom.

I thought it was incredibly inappropriate to confront Carl's mom at the shower about everything.  She wanted to create a scene, but just made herself look quite juvenile.

  4. I am lukewarm about the responses to Carl and Lindsey.  She is someone to be frightened of, based on her normal behavior.  She is gaslighting Carl six ways from Sunday - I remember from the opening of the new season where he apparently let her know the wedding wasn't going to happen (not a spoiler, since this entire season is a flashback as to how they got to that point).  First thing she did was run to the phone to get her story out before Carl's truth got out there.

She is a conniving individual and cannot ever be seen in a bad light or seen to be wrong.

Carl on the other hand is still in his recovery.  He shouldn't have gotten engaged or even into a fulltime relationship until he'd settled into his recovery.  In addition to his recovery, he had to deal with the loss of his brother and, as he said in the previous episode, get used to his 'new family', when his mother re-married.  For a normal person not dealing with addiction issues, his family issues are a lot to cope with.  He also needs to make his OWN decisions about what he wants to do with his life.  Lindsey is not supportive of ANYthing that takes Carl out of her orbit where she can control him to her liking.

The others on the show see the issues but are smartly staying out of it before Lindsey goes on the attack against them, too.

I cannot imagine what next season is going to look like with the fall-out of the failed engagement.  Either Lindsey or Carl will have to figure out if they can be part of the show if the other is also involved - I can see Lindsey trying very hard to keep her spot on the show, so she doesn't have to go to work like the rest of them do.  We could lose Carl in all of this and that would be one more destructive factor in his life, along with all the others.

Eh, the rest of her dress was floor length, wasn’t it? I thought it was.

I have no issue with the amount of skin the dress showed, but I was horrified at the fit and the hideousness of it, hahahhaa! That shit-show looked like it would need to be pulled and straightened and adjusted all the livelong day!

And as is true with nearly every full-length dress on all of the Bravo shows, no one gives any consideration as to how the outfit will look while sitting, which is 90% of the positioning on any of these shows.

  6. Say what you will about Scheana, but she has finally hit the nail on the head with Sandoval in the last scene of the episode tonight.  Everything that Ariana did wasn’t for her.  Not the eggs freezing, the house, or any of the rest of it.  She did all that for both of them: Tom and Ariana. Not just Ariana.  And it’s about time Tom acknowledges that in light of all he’s done to Ariana.

    Scheana wins the episode tonight.

Danielle, what is there to say about her?  Something is definitely wrong with that girl.  She was unhinged last season.  No better this one.  So two faced - in her morning conversation with Gabby, she says that the girls told her Gabby was crying - last night she couldn't care less, this morning she wants to hug Gabby.

Given that this all went down at a party with LOTS of alcohol, which we know from history, no one on this show other than Carl can handle, in the light of day and with the fog of hangover lifted, Danielle did what I would expect.  She didn’t blame alcohol of course, but she did try to make right with Gabby in the light of day.

Doesn’t excuse the behavior, but puts a light on it.

  8. Just watching the show today.

Ick didn’t sound too convincing when Dani said she wasn’t coming to Rio.  Also, his response to her announcing the pregnancy was underwhelming at best.

And yet, they now have another child to raise.  That makes four, including Ick.

What the heck is Jax doing on this show?  I can’t stand him

Trying to generate interest in the Valley, which I won’t even start.

I appreciated Scheana going after Sandoval.  No one seems to realize that that restraining order will appear on background checks for Scheana for the foreseeable future.  That is damaging to most anything she may want to do, post-show.  Sandoval dismissing her anger about it doesn’t help his case for acceptance at all.

  10. West is barking up a difficult tree.  Ciara just isn’t going to have time for him.  He is just a toy for her and I don’t mean that to be insulting to her.

Probably would be better for him to focus on getting a job again.

The writing is on the wall for Carl and Lins.  She isn’t ready for marriage.  Not one bit.  Substance abuse recovery is a long process.  She is not the person Carl needs during recovery.

  11. I strongly suspect that Dannielle has already been abandoned by Garrick.  He'd've done it whether Roberta hung around or this new one stuck around.

Garrick tossed Dani to the curb the moment he divorced her in favor of Roberta.  Once Roberta abandoned them, Garrick made no move to re-marry Dani or even give her any comfort or stability in their relationship.

The video she shot of the two of them arguing over Nathalia's communication with Dani spoke volumes about both of them.  She came off quite unhinged and he came off quite uninterested in her point of view.

This is an abusive relationship, even though it's not violent, as they don't know how to communicate with each other about this activity and he's simply not listening to her and minimizing her feelings.

I hope to read soon that they've separated, but at the same time Dani has no visible means of support and Garrick isn't going to willingly give up the few assets he has (meaning his business).

Since Gerry is retired, and if he were really in love with Teresa, he wouldn't mind moving to New Jersey. And then they can vacation at his lake house or whatever.

Women move all the time for their spouses, so I'm happy that Teresa held strong on not wanting to leave her job. People who love their jobs are fortunate, and it would be difficult for her to find a job in a new city at 70 years old. Let's not act like ageism isn't a thing. Gerry's in the more flexible position and could move.

In any case, location is one of the biggest flaws for The Bachelor franchise, and even more so for The Golden Bachelor as these are people who have lives and roots where they currently live. Perhaps for the future, tptb can think about casting people who are local, or at least in surrounding areas, to the (Golden) Bachelor/Bachelorette. Even Faith (third place) didn't want to move from her ranch in Washington.

Hell, I just moved back to Connecticut from Wisconsin back in August.  Hubby will follow as soon as there is an opening in the CT branch of the business he’s in.  I moved to Wisconsin almost ten years ago, but when I retired, he said we should move back and here we are.

Far as I am concerned, this outcome was surprising to me, but no different than so many of the other relationships that didn’t make it past the honeymoon phase.

Now I wonder what the financial implications are for the two of them with their more complicated finances.

I’m definitely not a Kody fan - however:

I‘m not going to blame any family member for the suicide.  Suicide occurs even in the most supportive families. Maddie has made comments that Garrison’s biggest concerns had to do with social media and him feeling ‘less than’ in comparison to others.

When my now-ex husband attempted suicide in 90’s, the doctors we dealt with said that if it hadn’t happened then, it would’ve happened later.  Suicide, they told me, isn’t always an impulsive move but is well thought out and planned.

The same doctors told me that suicide isn’t something that someone else can stop.  The recriminations of ‘I could’ve stopped this’ are false and unhelpful.

My ex passed away in December, nearly 30 years to the day from the attempt he survived, but from which he was forever changed.

I think you mean The Valley but this made my day, because if you're familiar with The Villages in Florida, it's um, well, rife with potential stories (and weird Florida urban legends). I'd actually watch the real-life soap opera about people who (allegedly) were inspired by Bill O'Reilly and use loofahs as some sort of sex message. 😅 (I know there's a documentary, but thinking of The Villages with the Vanderpump style/format makes me legit LOL.)

But I agree with you - Even years ago when they were younger I had moments of "these people are 30" and now I'm like, "these people are 40" and it's even sadder. It's always kind of been like watching a lost tribe for me. Kind of like Rock of Love, I had no frame of reference of the life these folks led. Their Adderall, brunch-fueled lives, ill advised theme parties, and lack of impulse control (and all the coke, man) was fascinating to me. Now I just see mostly desperate people. If I ever break out in hives it'll probably be out of second-hand embarrassment from watching Scheana and Broke try to act on these eps.

If Sandoval did't have an ego the size of the universe and the show planners had any impulse control themselves, Sandoval should have taken a part-time role where he shows up a few times in dramatic fashion, and actually was accountable without all of his whataboutisms. I really, truly do not wish to hear about all the ways Ariana and Tom are driving each other crazy. Don't care about the cat litter, who leaves takeout containers where, etc. It's just not good TV, man.

But this is a show where people try to squeeze every cent they can get from merchandise with lame quotes about their lawyers. So I don't know why I expect anything less than trash. 😐

Both show demographics have their casts in their 40s.  Still pitiful and sad.

Lindsey is an expert at making Karl feel as though he is the one that is wrong.  At least on the surface he seems to.  I think he is slowly simmering below the surface and is a walking time bomb.

And Lindsey is totally gaslighting Karl.  And any comments she makes to the girls about Karl, she knows full well will get back to Karl. She is no spring chicken when it comes filming a reality show.

When you get a chance to watch early seasons, you can see that Lindsey has NEVER respected her partners or her friends.  She has some serious unresolved abandonment issues, or something, that push her into these rages on the slightest provocation, real or imagined.  She should not be in a long-term relationship and definitely should not consider getting married.

Look at what she did to Danielle last season, look at the ‘make ME a sandwich’ from an earlier season.  She is deeply disrespectful in her relationships.  She will continue to be single and not by choice.

I sat here watching this mess like, Ariana, girl, run. You have one actual friend in this group, the rest are jealous assholes who only want to be your friend if they can get Uber Eats commercials and a possible rec for DWTS. Sandoval is disturbing, and the rest of them are being gleefully gaslit and enjoying it. The hypocrisy over the "make peace," and "get over it" crowd is just gross. Let's bring in Rand, see how peaceful LaLa is about that. Anger doesn't look good on anyone, but I can't begrudge Ariana her anger. This type of thing is not a "get over it" quickly kind of thing? It's gonna take more than a few months. My god, I'm just so grateful for my friends right now who give me room to have my feelings without judging them.

Sandoval's shamelessness makes me physically uncomfortable. He isn't sorry in the least, and he seems to think he can whine his way out of this - cuz that's exactly what's happening with 95% of the damn cast.

Katie and Schwartz, however, are the most watchable they've ever been. I somehow enjoy this weirdo stage they've entered.

If this show makes it another year, I hope if revolves around Summer Moon and Hippie/Graham Cracker, and maybe Ally. Otherwise, ugh, boring. Not compelling TV, folks.

They need to get new people for the show.  Ones that aren’t jaded and pushing or past 40.  The interesting part of the show was the interaction at the restaurant.  No one works there anymore.  In fact, most of them just plain don’t work.  Pining for an invite to DWTS and whining about not getting one is not a job.

I am also avoiding The Village because, even in a different setting, these people have no redeeming qualities.

I'm astonished that Stephanie is letting these priceless jewels slip through her fingers! They BUY her things! They LOVE her! They're stalking her to her home!

Reminds me of that long-ago story where the female astronaut drove multiple dozens of hours to stalk a paramour.  Wondering if, like her, they stocked up on diapers for the trip, so they wouldn’t have to stop during their 12 hour drive for necessary facilities.

I don't understand why this incident was brought up in the first place, then passed along to everyone, other than to "bring the drama".

Agreed.  Are the available story lines so lacking that they have to pull something out that happened ten YEARS ago to have anything to film.

Stick a fork in VPR.  It’s cooked.

Are any of the others happy Ariana had some good come out of the hell she went through? I'd be happy for my friend.

I think they are walking on eggshells around her, which isn’t healthy for her or for her friends.

That said, if she did get on another show, she can walk away from Vanderpump Rules and not look back.  She won’t have to interact with any of them or them with her.  Hopefully, that contract comes with a bit better money for her too.

This all leaves Katie in a lurch and she hasn’t done much to endear herself to the rest of the group.  Constantly sour-faced and acting the sycophant to Ariana isn’t a story line.

  20. Re: Danielle and Ick.  Always remember and never forget:  They got divorced so Roberta could come to America to be married.  Danielle has no obligation to stay with Ick except for the kids.  They will eventually be old enough and she can leave.  I hope she is banking her portion of the TLC checks, so she will have a nest egg after all of this.  Divorced, she gets nothing from Ick.

  21. Lindsay is definitely making the story about how awful Carl is.  He isn’t.  But she has a history of narcissism where she cannot be to blame for anything.  It is always someone else’s fault.  Look what she did to Danielle last year.  Look what she did to the previous boyfriend a couple of seasons back.

She is perfect for the public relations field, which I imagine she will have to return to after the break up, because she spin anything.  Great PR person; lousy mate.
