Okay.  The scene where Lou deals with the gay bashing customer.... What was that all about?  He said "I don't like it when alternative lifestyles are flaunted"....  Did I not notice something?  How is she flaunting her orientation?  If it weren't stated over and over again I wouldn't think Lou was gay.

I think the jerk customer assumed she was gay based on her appearance, completely idiotic but typical of the narrow-minded.

My husband made a good point I hadn't thought about after this week's episode. In one of Cora's memories, we see someone step on a person's chest, making a God-awful cracking sound. Could it be that the detective's predilection for rough sex and domination could coincide with Cora's lost night in that house? It would explain why they included a seemingly random character attribute such as BDSM to his storyline. Maybe he's so obsessed with her story because he was there the night of July 3 and knows who/what caused all of this.

If that is true, why would he want her to remember anything about his involvement?

  3. No sympathy, for Dr. Jekyll, I mean Mr. Mercedes, running over those poor people, and than tormenting the woman whose car you stole to do it, evil. They keep harping on whether or not she left the keys in the car, but does that matter? Either way it's not her fault her car was used in a horrific crime. Anyone have any thoughts on why they keep bringing this issue up?

The incest was gross, but Barry whining about being bullied, bad childhood, and so on, there are plenty of people that do not direct their anger by killing innocent people. Barry is a POS, can't wait until he gets caught, just please don't hurt Jerome.

Niecy needs to sit her backwards-hustling ass down. How are you put off by the artist when you're still living off your grandparents? Where are her goals? What happened to getting a cosmetology license? She's so goddamn lazy.

I did like the artist, though. Hope we do see more of him.

She is the definition of bum. She is so worthless, lazy and useless, yet has the nerve to criticize and look down upon those that are bettering themselves without their families' assistance.  Niecy is an ungrateful selfish POS, she needs tough love from her enabling family, and Tinder can do better.

  5. I love this show so much. I love Nan, Martin, the friends and coworkers, such a fun cast, and Martin is the best!

Its interesting that Nan always goes to Jason when she needs help.  I didn't really like what he said and was disappointed he didn't help her with Martin.

I think Jason is an easy crutch, he knows it and pushes back sometimes. I think this is one of those times. Nan needs to understand that Jason is not at her beck and call, you can't give mixed signals, and expect people to just accept it like everything is cool.

    Please bring this show back!!!

  6. Ugggghhhh Zack, is the new Carl, complete with stupid shaggy hair. I hate this kid. I never thought this show could be worse than the book, but it is. Thank God, the end is nigh.

  7. Seriously, James, you can't trust Tasha, and the nerve to try to blame cheating on your wife on a chance encounter that had it never happened....WTF, Tasha should have stole his ass when the words if only Angela hadn't come to the club that night came out of his mouth. The gall to put all responsibility for his choice to hook up with Angela on a chance meeting, and not his selfish ass,  he deserved a knee to the crotch, eff you, James.

I laughed when 50 got all sentimental, that was such a surprise. Doe eyed Jamie, though, I felt his anguish.

RIP Julio and his fine ass, indeed, please have Tommy and Ghost feed Dre to the fishes.

As soon as Pope showed up at that guy's construction site I said "Oh, you asshole!" And here we were just saying how Pope had become the (relatively) moral center of the family and then he goes and frames that poor guy.

    Family first ;)

James is officially a murderer now, and 1000% fcuked to be indebted to Teresi. It's odd that the prison wouldn't have cameras in the exercise room.

Only on tv, unless the exercise room out in the open.

So, no comments on Julio putting.in.work.? Okay, then.

He is fine as fuck, and he definitely worked it with old girl.

I want to say the stylist does that on purpose.  I think she will always dress with like that because she still has that "ghetto" hood mentality.  I used to work with a woman that spent good money on her clothes, yet every time she came to work everything looked soooo cheap. From her weave, to the too light eyeshadow and lipstick it was a mess.  And one day she and another woman had the same Ralph Lauren dress on but it looked like it came from pretty girl on her and RL on the other woman.  Tasha will always dress and make a $1000 dress look cheap cus that's her character imo.

This, Tasha has horrible taste. She dresses like a teenager who shops at Hot Topic., the cutout dresses and sweaters, heeled sneakers, it's so age and status inappropriate. It's like she thinks she's keeping it real with the hoochie attire,, or maybe she really likes it. I would be mortified if I were her kids and my mom dressed like that. Money cannot buy class.

Where exactly is this "hood" that Tariq and Kanan are supposedly hanging out in?

And I have a hard time believing hard criminals sit around apartments and drink soda with cough syrup all day every day.

And isn't Jukebox a DC cop,, how the hell is she constantly in NYC?

What did Angela actually realize at the end?

In addition to realizing he din'y leave the gun in his office, she saw that Mike was in charge during the search, and something else, I did not catch, looked related to the placement of something.

Lawyers: this is totally fucked up, right? Because it seems totally fucked up and like something that would never actually happen.

Yes, this is totally fucked up. There is no way in hell Angela would be anywhere near this case. She should've been fired last year when they found out her involvement, or shipped off to an office in Alaska, but to have her actively involved in a case where she has so many obvious and known conflicts of interest, no way in hell. This is how Ghost gets off, prosecutorial misconduct, evidence tampering, etc., and we will have Angela to thank.

  12. I agree with those who love Martin. I could totally see my rescue dog (bully-red tick coon hound mix) in this role, and he also knows how to give side eye ;) I read about this show and watched the first two eps. I was surprised how much I love this show. I hate sitcoms, generally, and the fact that this is more dramedy is appealing. The cat and Martin are killing it, and the humans are cool, too. Did not know Pittsburgh had MJ gummies, some law changes I'm not aware of? Curious too see where this show goes, and plan to watch as long as it's on.

  13.  As someone married to a fireman, the comparison is not the same (I will not even bore you with how not dangerous it is in the modern day due to a variety of factors and this is the Chicago Fire Dept.). Taking unnecessary risks is not part of a firefighter's job, and if you are married, depending on your schedule there is a stabilizing force at home when the firefighter spouse is at work.  Where is any such stabilizing force or stability for that matter in Ashe's life? Who steps in when she's travelling for weeks or days at a time? Ashe takes risks with no back up, not even close to the same as what a firefighter does. My problem with Ash is it's her fault that Javier has this kind of leverage on her. She has no one to blame but herself, not Javier, not his girlfriend. She needs to step up and show the court that she is capable of being a stable, good parent. To date, I've seen her forget to call her daughter at specified times, show up when she feels like it for visits, and the worth threaten physical harm in her obviously scared daughter's presence. That is not stable, and she has no right to even have anything but supervised visitation given her behavior. I don't see the point in harping on Javier and his GF's race, so what? He left Ashe because she has mental issues, nothing to do with her race.

I hope Ashe does some serious work on herself before getting back in her daughter's life.

When you might lose your child because of your anger, it might be time to tamp it down a bit.  Anger management isn't about totally suppressing anger, it's about finding the right time, place and method to express it.

This, if Ash was really thinking in the best interests of her child, she would stop fighting other people and start fighting for her child. If that means therapy and anger management, do it, what is the point of being irresponsible and selfish when  the object is to have your child. Javier is right, and Ashe brought this on herself. She's admitted as much by not following through on anger management and therapy. She can live her life in an unpredictable and dangerous job anyhow she wants as a single person, but her kid needs stability, which she cannot yet provide.

  16. Count me in with those not buying Oprah's sudden descent in booze and oxy addiction, and laying about with some young thing, WTF? I do like Grace and Rick Fox. Also agree on Pastor Skank's wife, is she trying to live up to her name, or maybe this is how new jack preacher's wives are.

  17. Just binged Season 1, and first, love seeing Purefoy and Williams together. I like horror movies, but even this was too much for me, especially when that scumbag killed the dogs. Christina Hendricks can kick rocks, hate her trope character. I am very curious about the skeleton under the house, hmmmmm... Loooking forward to catching up on Season 2.

This is going to seem like a weird post but...

I always watch the people eat on TV. Most people cut their meat and put it in their mouths with the fork upside down. I cut my meat using the knife in my right hand and fork in left hand and don't switch sides. I put it in my mouth with the fork right side up.  I never see anyone eat like that on tv. Now finally  someone whose eats like me!  Perry!

Of course I couldn't tell you how friends and family eat because I'm too busy eating to watch them. Anyone else notice this kind of odd thing?

I've always used my utensils the "European way"; Knife right, fork left, nary a twist or a turn unless there be peas.  :-)

This, I was also taught to eat fork in the left knife in the right (if right-handed), and I will never forget how shocked my Swiss host family was to see me eat this way. They assumed most Americans ate with only their fork, and only used the knife to cut.

Sure, but how about consequences for her actions? Taking her laptop away might not stop the website from existing but it would show her that keeping secrets like this and making such a poor choice has consequences. She's a 16 year old. Her parents get to decide if and when she can use a laptop and she has, in my opinion, demonstrated that her judgment isn't sound enough to use one without direct supervision. Like I said earlier, I think because they caught it before her website went live, the parents underplayed the severity of what Abigail did and spent more time making validating Abby's feelings and not enough time pointing out the dangers of her actions.

Agreed, I don't understand this lax, let's be friends, and allow kids to make their own choices style of parenting, add to that the oversharing of having an affair with your teenage daughter, and I can't even count the number of boundaries crossed. WTF is wrong with these people, laptop, phone, and anything privileges (like social media) related would be gone until Abigail proved herself trustworthy and responsible. There is no way I would be arguing respecting my daughter's social activism with selling her virginity online. Sorry, sweetie no cause is worth your dignity and potential trauma, and the fact that she was callous enough to note that white privilege ups her value was disgusting.

Run, Celeste, run! One of the scary things once an abused person has begun making plans to escape is that it leaves a trail. Getting an apartment means running a credit check (which you can see on your credit report) and putting down a deposit of first month, last month, and security is not an insignificant amount of money. Celeste wouldn't just have that much lying around in cash so she would have to put it on a credit card which means Perry could see it on the monthly statement. I think Perry is rich enough that he doesn't care how much money Celeste normally spends but that he would notice if she had a huge charge on her credit card.

He seems like the type to request a detailed accounting of how each dime is spent.

  21. I really like the Anika and the coach. The daughter is ridiculous, please send her back to Daddy. I am curious to see who killed Chitown's girl, and it was nice to see him reach out to the sax girl who got hazed. I am really tired of sneaky, fake sweet sax backstabber. Ole girl should have punched her in the face when she tried to make nice. Also curious, that band leader and bitter board member don't know why Anika got fired. Thought that would've been number one on their list of fodder.

Second the wardrobe love. I want that gray dress she wore last week.

  22. Started watching but could not finish this inane crap. Star is awful, and her around the way girl act is grating. Not one of these characters is interesting, and it feels so thrown together last minute, with minimal thought into plot lines and follow through. The only interesting moment was Lenny Kravitz. His daughter is ridiculous, good luck on your own. Never watching this crap again, but will look forward to the weekly snark here.
