  1. NBC knew they had a hit, Christina and Adam were at each other's throats, and Blake figured out how to win.

    The teams were:

Team Blake: Jermaine Paul, Erin Willett, RaeLynn, Jordis Unga, Charlotte Sometimes, Naia Kete

Team Adam: Tony Lucca, Katrina Parker, Mathai Pip, Karla Davis, Kim Yarbrough

Team CeeLo: Juliet Simms, Jamar Rogers, Cheesa, James Massone, Erin Martin, Tony Vincent

Team Christina:Chris Mann, Lindsey Pavao, Ashley De La Rosa, Jesse Campbell, Moses Stone, Sera Hill

Juliet Sims is still my favorite Voice contestant, even though it was one of my least favorite seasons.  It made me an anti-Adam person with all the passive aggressive stuff he did, and the beginning of his show bromances.  The Christina/Adam crap got old fast.

  2. The season that started it all. Going into the lives the teams were:

Team Blake:  Dia Frampton, Xenia, Jared Blake and Patrick Thomas.

Team Adam:  Javier Colon, Casey Weston, Jeff Jenkins, and Devon Barley.

Team CeeLo:  Vicci Martinez, Nakia, Curtis Grimes, and The Thompson Sisters.

Team Christina:  Beverly McClellan, Frenchie Davis, Lily Elise, and Raquel Castro.

  3. The Chancellor and Abby saw the rockets but it was too late, they saw them after the bodies had been removed and disposed of.

I cried when the first guy volunteered! I was shocked that the show made me cry but now that they've shown me that they're willing to go dark and not be another CW teen love triangle show I'm so hooked! I really hope it ends up being picked up for a second season.

Thank you!  I really didn't expect that to happen at all, that they would for sure save them.  I guess at least they saw them?

How the hell do they think they can save face for Bellamy now?  He is officially the reason over what, 300 people died.

  4. All of these things you guys have listed don't make sense for sure, but the biggest thing that doesn't make sense to me is why is the show packed with fugly people??

I mean I know they are not fugly, but compared to CW standards these kids are the equivalent to headgear wearing awkward nerds.  If I'm going to watch a CW show that doesn't make sense most of the time I at least expect CW standard eye candy.

  5. TJ was good but can we ban Waiting On The World To Change from singing competition now because it's basically the anti Man In The Mirror and yet all these contestants keep performing it so earnestly.

By the end of the show I'd completely forgotten Devlyn's existence, oops. Also: Unchained Melody, really? Zzzz.

The best by far: Josh, Sasaundra, Kat, Kristen.

Color me jealous that you could forget him, because I keep hearing the murder of that song in my head.

  6. What a complete train wreck - from the people that leave me scratching my head wondering how on Earth they are on the show at this point to the technical failure (or the we can't montage Kristen so let's cut her mic if you are a conspiracy theory type person) .

It started out truly awful with that poser Bria carrying around her guitar for no apparent reason other than she thought it makes her look valid to Devlyn or however you spell it murdering a classic, GOD I couldn't wait for this show to be over.

Even my favorites made my ears bleed.

Poor Jake started out so shaky - it just wasn't a good song choice for him.  Usually the whole personality/sob story thing doesn't get me in these kinds of things, but considering how plain ass mediocre (which is putting it very nicely) this show was I need an option B to decide who I want to stay.

iTunes is showing it too. I don't know if I've ever seen the sales so bad at this point.  Even the Disney Princess is only around 70 I think.  Maybe her "rabid" Internet fan base isn't going to push her as far as some think.  I do not understand why the coaches all went on and on about her being the strongest on Adam's team?  Kat is a hundred times better and actually did a great job.  Karaoke, but she sang the snot out of it.

I'll admit I liked TJ a little bit better doing a more current song.  It wasn't the best performance, but I appreciated him doing something different.

Tess, Dani, Audra, and Sissaundra were boring at best.

Big old shout out to Josh, Kat, and what we did get to hear from Kristin.  For me they were the only ones that sounded like they belonged in the lives.

  7. Your friend's grandma is Gen X? *feels old*

I hate the extra battles as well. We don't get to see what they would pick like we did with the Knockouts, and I just dislike the battle formula in general. It always seems to go one of two ways: a fabulous duet without a clear winner, or two soloists trying to out-diva each other. Neither way lets anyone shine.

Oh noooo I'm Gen X, the Grandma is a Boomer :)  But alas Gen X is the new middle age....

It was nice to know what they were about as an artist so early in the show.  I really do think that is why they still kind of smear together except for a few.

  8. Keep up with the constantly changing The Voice rules and formatting here.

I'll just say - I hate the Twitter save.

Amen and Halleluiah.  I just hate hate hate the Twitter save.  If they think it will debunk those middle age women voters they need to think again.  Hell my friend's Grandma set up a Twitter account just for the Twitter save.  Never doubt the tenacity of Gen X.

I also hated the two battle round formula.  Usually by now I can tell the people apart and at least remember their first names, but that is a stretch this year.  I think changing the knockout round to a battle round really affected that.

  9. So I can't believe I have started to care about this damn show.  They totally jacked it up in Chicago, and once it dvr'd it cut the last 9 minutes.  I was really teetering on if I would continue to watch, but this episode got me.

Riddle me this, Batman....I take it from the comments here that the people all died, but did the people in the arc see the rockets at all?  I've tried to watch just the last 9 minutes online over at CW but it just keeps resetting to the beginning of the show when I try and fast forward.

  10. Jewel was fabulous on the sing off and gave some of the best critiques I have ever heard on shows like these.

I'd love to see Adam take some time off.  I could deal if Blake stayed, he's like the heart of the show, but the Adam/Blake stuff is just so old.  I really liked Chris Martin this season, and just for entertainment's sake I think it would be a blast to have Cher on as a coach.  That's it, replace Adam with Cher.  Why does it seem like there is some unwritten rule that there can only be one female coach anyway?

  11. Absolutely! We encourage multiple topics here; it's one of the perks of having forums for every show. :)

I'd just ask that you create a separate topic for each past season. It keeps the threads shorter and makes it easier for people to jump in and post.

Thanks Photo Fox, and congrats on the gig....I think.  I used to mod for NBC and The Biggest Loser was one of my forums.  I still have nightmares.  We are a little more tame here and no one has sizable fat rolls to discuss on this show so you should be golden :)

  12. On paper I should like Bria but I just don't.  I can't put my finger on it, but I think it's because she just doesn't seem genuine.  She couldn't win America's Got Talent so it should be interesting to see how she does on The Voice.

Add me to the little dude in hats hate club, but I'll be damned if Josh hasn't won me over, oversinging and all.

I would really like TJ....If I had a time machine and could go back to 1993.

  13. I fell asleep during Team Adam, so that can't be a good sign. I am shocked that most of my favorites are on Team Shakira. Dani made me a fan for sure. I'm usually not a huge woman power vocal fan, but Dani, Tess, and the country chick that kept getting montaged are some of my favorites this year. Granted they were picking their own songs and I'm terrified to see what Shakira gives them. Her track record is so not good and I'm afraid she's going to jack them up.

I kind of fast forwarded through Team Adam once I woke up, and while I think he made the right choices his team is total meh except for Kat. I didn't think she was nearly as great as the coaches did, but she sang Steve Perry so there you go. For me if they don't sing it better or change it to be more of their song it just doesn't get me. The Grimmie Disney chick just bugs. She can hit notes for sure, but it's like there is nothing there. It's like the difference between looking at beautiful blue eyes in a live person and that same color with the blank stare of a dead person. I'm not a psycho (mostly) I swear, but that's the only way I can think to describe it. Devlin was good, but just not my cup of tea.

  14. I'm not sure of the rules around here yet, but I wonder if starting a thread for previous seasons is okay.  We had so much fun dishing about the past seasons over at TWoP, from Adam building a hat wearing douche army to CeeLo's pervy ways....

  15. TWoP'er here that is glad we found a refugee camp, and also glad that we now have topics instead of a million page thread.

Also I would like to add that they really should have never ended the Knockout Rounds.

Me too.  I think it was probably to eliminate some of the live shows so that the coaches could have a more workable schedule.  I'm sure it's a nightmare to figure out as it is.  Also, it gives them control over who goes to the live rounds, when before we voted and they had to pick from the bottom two.  The control freaky coaches (Adam) have got to love that.

  16. Was anyone else totally distracted by Bria's headband?

It was like some funky bedazzled Wonder Woman crown, which if you are going to be Wonder Woman you don't bedazzle the crown.  She's Wonder Woman for Christ's sake.

She did a weird pointy thing to it and then to Usher so I wonder if they had some kind of inside joke going about it because really I cannot see any other reason she would have that tacky thing on her head.

  17. I love Shakira, and know just how talented she is, but she just seems to dumb herself down for this show.  I don't know if it's the producer edits or what, but she just seems to say the same things over and over.  "I'm a girl surounded by boys", "pick me because I'm a girl",....It gets old.  Her choices have been questionable too, and I just think she is so much better than she is being portrayed.  She needs to step it up.

That being said, I still prefer her a million times over Christina.

  18. I kept waiting for Chris Martin to show up....but he didn't....*sigh*....I miss the cute.

I think Sisaundra has a great voice, but is simply too mature for this competion.  I'm not ageist, but I just can't see her on a stadium tour and cranking out singles for radio play.  The type of performer that's wonderful to hear live at an intimate musical venue after a nice dinner.

I'm so hoping that Chris got his foot in the door and could possibly replace Adam for a season or two.  That would be AWESOME!

ITA about Sisaundra.  It sucks but it's true - the business belongs to the youth, unless you are already famous when you get of a certain age.

I really love Jake, and I can't stand country music.  He's just so earnest, you can't help but root for him.  I was rooting for Maddy too, but like others have said she just wasn't ready.  Aubrey? I think her name is.  Bleh.  She's got pipes on her but a return to that Tricia Yearwood type of music sounds more painful than shoving bamboo under my fingernaiils.

  19. What in the world do the producers have against Kristen Merlin?  She's been montaged in BOTH Battle rounds.  Surely, they could have shown us her vs. Emily B; instead of the snoozefest from Ddendyl vs. Deja.  Although some good choices were made, by the coaches in this round (especially Sisaundra vs. Biff - she OWNED that song!) I would really like to see my former fave.

No doubt!  Usually they montage when one or both of the people do a really ear inducing pain performance.  Since she won both maybe her partners really were bad.  The Voice is good about not humiliating people like Idol, but we get things like Kristen montaged both times as a result.

I can recognize the amount of talent it takes to sing something the way that they sang "It's a Man's Man's Man's World", but I just can't get into that kind of singing.  Stevie Jo and the other dude were a total snooze fest for me. The Say Something girls....Meh.

  20. I was totally surprised that really liked Chris Martin.  I guess I was neutral on him before with a slight negative edge because of his (ex) wife, but he really came off well on the show.

I thought Tess was way better than Jake, but I am very happy both of them got through to the next round.  Tess is the biggest shocker, she just keeps getting better and better.

Adam was insane to pick Devlin.  I thought Josh was so much better.  The Sam and Christina battle was really null for me, I wish both could have been eliminated.  Sam is way to affected and Christina is way to generic.  I think Sam did edge out Christina a bit, but I'm assuming at this point Adam knows how big of a following Christina has and that she did things ilke open for Selena Gomez.
