He drugged her before he even gave her the brains in order to knock her out.

I thought whatever he injected her with is what knocked her out - not the brains.  Or was it the brains he was injecting her with? Now I'm confused.  I guess I didn't think too much about what was going on.

Season 3, episode 8, is where Whit announces to her dance trainer that she would only be able to actually WEAR the dance shoes for three minutes before she would have to change into non-dance shoes.

Edited to add: The next episode, number 9, is where the actual competition takes place.

@tdanaher - Thank you SOOOO much!  I've become really frustrated with the episode descriptions on the TLC site lately.  They never seem to describe the main happenings of the episode so finding specific things has been hard for me.  I wonder if I'm the only one that has this problem....

The creepiest part about that Is when she covered the peephole while she was knocking!!! This obviously is something she’s DEFINITELY done before!

Oh my, yes!  I remember being disturbed by this.  That's some major stalker behavior.  We all know she has no boundaries and this a prime example.

    During their ballroom dance competition

I really want to re-watch her pitching fits over shoes but I can't seem to find this episode - they're all running together at this point.  I'm almost positive its in Season 3 but none of the episode descriptions on TLC's site seem to fit.  Does anyone by chance remember what episode Twit & Todd did this ballroom dance "competition"?

This photo made me think of the shrimp cocktail in Beetlejuice.

We really need to create a list of all the things that people have thought this was a picture of at first glance.  The first time I saw it I thought it was 2 walruses, another time I though it was a couple of seals wearing sunglasses.  I've also heard people say they're seeing polar bears and now the shrimp cocktail from Beetlejuice.  Are there any other wild ones out there?  Do share!

Also, if Gordy is newly sober, should he even be thinking about girls? I know he's a straight boy so thinking about girls is a given, but ...

Exactly.  It reminds me of the "13th Step" in AA (but not entirely).  It is definitely frowned upon to start up romantic relationships within your first year of sobriety.  He should be focusing on getting his sh*t together rather than on a girl.  But he is indeed a teenage boy so....

I bet five dollars that Vanessa has heard "you know I care about you, but my family, it's complicated" since the relationship started with Sam, and then when he misses her he tells her he just neeeeeeeeds to see her, and then the cycle restarts. You could see it in Vanessa's face - her face hardened and she got a look on her face like "Here we go again." He may indeed care about her, but not enough to man up and be with her and face the consequences. Vanessa should have stuck to her guns that time she told him to stay away from her.

THIS!!! Exactly what I was thinking but couldn't put it into words.  Getting involved with someone who is married is never a good idea for so many reasons.  I don't even know how she would ever be able to have a meaningful relationship with him without in the back of her mind wondering when he was going to turn and do the exact same thing to her.  And that's without all their issues.  I truly hope she can get some distance for everyone's sake.

Also, this REALLY cracked me up for some reason.

I'm quoting you because I want to comment on another cast member reminding me of someone! Since the first time I saw a preview for Rise, every time I see the actor portraying Robbie, all I can see is Justin Guarini! Am I the only one?

I didn't but now that you say it, I see what you mean and I probably won't be able to unsee it! I looked Justin up and he is now 39... time flies!iu.thumb.jpeg.f38ccddc631d3f933e60806bc626752c.jpeg

Justin Guarini? Don't you mean Lil Sweet? LOL  I can't get him out of my head now! (Also, I could have sworn there were Emojis here and now I don't see any.  Long day at work.  I must be losing it.)

Random question I’m not sure where else to place. The actress playing Sasha is reminding me of another actress with similar looks and a very similar voice and speech pattern. It’s bugging me so much that I can’t place who it is. Does anyone know of a lookalike actress out there for her?

She almost reminds me of a mix between Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird) and Heather Morris (Glee).

I don't buy Stan getting high. He's a cop. Won't he be drug tested? (It was a very cute scene; I just don't buy that he'd get high.)

I definitely had to suspend disbelief for this.  Especially since he is not a "real cop yet".  If he's still in some kind of probationary period then he would be stupid to get high.  With that said though, I'm so glad they did - such a cute scene!

The Good Girls are not criminal masterminds. At the moment they think it is possible that Rio would actually go through with the kill instead of just sticking a  few guns in Mary Pat's face as he had on multiple occasions done to them.

This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking!  Granted, I'm not any kind of criminal and I have next to zero street cred, but I find it odd that they think Rio would just be killing people left and right that don't fit into his plan.  That seems like the OPPOSITE of what he'd be doing in trying to keep a lower profile like he seems to be.  I found it kind of funny that they would immediately jump to him knocking someone off when he has let more than a few things slide with them.

Sorry, but do you not see his bedroom eyes?  He has a cocky self assurance and machismo that would make me go weak in the knees!  He also makes Beth feel powerful.  Can you imagine how after Dean told her she was not able to get credit - Rio told her he was upping their washing money to 175K?  That is what is keeping the heat going.  The way he looks at her and makes her (and us vicariously) feel.  The lowlife THUGS work for him.  He is a businessman like Michael Corleone.

Yesss.  I'm with you 100%.  He has some kind of smolder going on and I definitely dig it.  I had a mad crush on him when he was on Conviction and he's stepping it up a notch on this show.  I'm definitely picking up on a chemistry between him and Beth that I think is going to finally come to fruition by season end.

Can someone please remind me of Annie's ex's wife's (wow - that's a lot of possessiveness) role at the spa? Is she a part owner?  She seemed pretty upset (granted - partly due to the hormones) over the robberies.  I wasn't sure if it was merely the hormones or if she was an owner, etc.

They really need to sick Rio on Mary Pat.  He's the only one that can talk some sense into her AKA scare the shite out of her.  I cannot handle her much longer without some kind of retaliation.

I don't recall the episode but I remember feeling badly for her, I think this is the most honest portrait of Whitney. An obese woman with a food addiction who is depressed and in need of help. Instead she hides behind sycophants  like most addicts who are in denial.

This. As someone who is currently battling a major addiction to candy/sweets and trying to get my weight under control - this definitely seems like one of her most raw moments (if not her only raw moment) that I can definitely empathize with.  We probably wouldn't be here if she finally admitted to herself what is really going on.  Wait- who am I kidding?  We'd still be here.  :P

Whitney lies about what she eats! She is an addict! My god this very show caught her hiding in her car eating cookies and ice cream.

Someone PLEASE remind me what episode this is from ?  I've been watching this since the beginning (I think?) but have no memory of it.  I need to see this.

  14. When Whitney brought the dance she learned in Hawaii to the BGDC was anyone else reminded of the episode of The Office when Michael Scott brought a steel drum home from Jamaica and decided it was a good idea to play it around the office?
