I knew a guy in high school who was able to lock his middle finger joints to make it look as if his finger had been jammed or broken. When Jodi displayed her “broken” finger, it looked just like my high school friends, so I watched closely and low and behold, during the rest of the trial and sentencing, her finger was perfectly normal. And no one noticed it (!), though she spent plenty of time with her hand to her face.
