  1. Even though I don't live in the area anymore, I still sometimes visit this site, and I happened to encounter an article on the worst king cake recipes. If you scroll to the bottom you will see something familiar. Worst King Cake Recipes Seems like no "worst recipes" list is complete without our Sandy!

  3. At first I thought Brycer was the guy on the left, but then realized he looked way too old to be Brycer. Is that a bottle of booze I see in the left-hand corner? Nice to see Aunt Sandy hasn't changed. :P
  4. I hadn't thought about Aunt Sandy in ages until I came across some peeled hard-boiled eggs at the regular groshery store (or as Aunt Sandy would say, "pre-peeled hard-bowled aigs"). I'm surprised she hasn't jumped on those things already, or maybe she has? She'd probably salivate if she saw them. Too bad she won't be doing more new episodes of Semi-Ho! So then I remembered this place and came back to take a look, to find out I missed the Halloween episodes. Oh well.
  5. I'm thinking maybe Sandy, or possibly the Food Network scheduler, has some kind of vendetta against Eggs Benedict. Today's show was the second in a row that featured Sandy plopping an aig on top of bacon (regular, not Canadian), dousing it with some nasty yellow stuff that was supposed to be "Hollandaise sauce" and calling it Eggs Benedict. I mean, talk about deja vu. Also, what the hell did she do to her skin in these Restaurant Remakes shows? That orange outfit she wore during Cocktail Time matched her skin almost perfectly. Come to think of it, so did the cocktail. I don't think the Oompa Loompa look really works on her.
  6. That depends...did Sandy actually make it? If so, there may be more alcohol in there than there needs to be.

YKYOWSW....you make more than one attempt in a single trip to your regular groshry store to page through Sandy's latest magazine, hoping the person who is in the aisle doesn't notice, trying to get an eyeful of as much as you can without actually buying it, eye-rolling at the names of her cocktails, such as the Honey-Bunny-Tini (yes, that is real). Was it ever mentioned on here before that there is a brand of margarita called Sandra Lee's Cocktail Time? Because there is.

  9. Oh thank you Ubiquitous, thank you thank you thank you! I probably missed those old threads more than is healthy. OK, maybe I didn't obsess over them or anything... They're on Food Network. If you watch this one, you should probably protect your eyes or something. Especially if you have had eye surgery. Or even if you didn't. Unfortunately I no longer have dark glasses handy.
  10. Apparently I missed those days entirely! I wish Television Without Pity had archived the Semi-Ho threads. Those were kind of fun to read sometimes. This Wednesday's episode is Two For One Shower...isn't that the one where she decorates everything in bright yellow and blinds everyone? Also I think we get to see Kimber again.
  11. I was at the seasoning/spices section of the groshry store (although not my reg'lar one), and what did I see? Pumpkin pie spice! OK, I'm sure that stuff is everywhere, but this was my first sighting.
  12. The other day I saw a commercial for some Denim and Diamonds gala. Only other place I heard "denim and diamonds" was, well, you know.

  14. I finally got to see Semi-Ho today. Oh, how I have missed Aunt Sandy's show. The transparent cupboards, the pasta salad featuring nice soggy and mushy croutons, her plastic Baggies, the boozy cocktail for a kiddie tailgate party (but don't worry kids, Aunt Sandy has a nice hose out back you can drink from), the lovely fire-and-brimstone color scheme...sure takes me back!
  15. Next time you post a link that contains an extreme close-up of SLop in her Mad Hatter getup, I would appreciate a warning. I think I need the eye bleach now.
