  1. Wrong... I refer back to the example I used of if my husband died. Would it be ok for my new husband (or anyone) to continuously say, "sorry about the death of your ex-husband". Uh, no! He's my husband who's now passed, my LATE husband. Try going up to a widow and asking her something about her ex-husband. Cuz, you know, he's not her husband anymore.... therefore must be an ex.
  2. Yes I agree. I just cringe when Ryan does it. He's had enough time to understand what their relationship was. He's just cringeworthy all around, very arrogant in the way he interacts with people.
  3. Why does Ryan (and everyone on this board) continue to refer Jaclyn's deceased boyfriend as her EX??!? From what I gather, they were not broken up when he passed, so he is NOT an ex-boyfriend. If my husband died, if anyone henceforth referred to him as my ex by virtue of him being dead, I'd be freakin livid. (I recall Ryan calling him her ex once to her face, not just in his TH's; I would've gone off on him)
  4. All of these kids think you can spoil a newborn. Gawd
  5. Very common to to do elective or "social" inductions once the mom hits 39 weeks (thank god that has changed), though us nurses hate it. We pray for "natural labor" patients (those who aren't induced, go into labor naturally). So much easier for the mom and the baby. Faster and safer too. Elective inductions are usually done because the mom is just "done" being pregnant and asks/begs the MD, or is done for physician convenience. I wish more moms knew the fact that elective induction significantly increases the chance of your getting a primary c-section (aka a failed induction, lol). Do your research if your doc ever suggests an induction. ETA: 1cm dilated, 90% effaced is nothing for a first time mom. That's gonna be a very looooong induction .... Lexus will be miserable.
  6. After one episode, I'm already loving hating this show. First, Lexus's mother infuriated me when she was fully aware that her daughter had sex for the first time with Shayden at age 13 (!!!), she thought solving the problem was to forbid them from ever seeing each other again. Yeah, that works... not. Ever hear of long-term birth control once your kid is sexually active, lady?? Im a labor nurse, and was extremely disappointed and ANGRY watching (I think) Lily's OB doctor visit. Lily actually asked and WANTED birth control right after the baby was born. The doc replied "I wouldn't recommend it" .... Um, no!!!! We absolutely DO recommend it!! We actually send patients home from the hospital after giving birth with a fresh shot of Depo in their bum. That guarentees 90 days pregnancy-free and they won't show up to their 6 wk check up pregnant. So irresponsible of that doctor
