So they're not allowed to dress how they're comfortable?

Sorry, this is a sensitive topic for me because I dress pretty similarly, and I've been harassed a lot for how I dress (also, the other day the gas station attendant called me "chief" and "boss" during our interaction, which seems like a pretty big sign he thought I was a dude, but I guess I'm bros with the gas station guy now?) I haven't worn a dress in 22 years, and I'm wearing a fitted tuxedo to my brother's wedding this summer, and if anyone commented on my outfit with "we get it, the sister is a lesbian" to anyone in my family, including my 92 year old grandmother, there'd be some slaps flying.

As I said above, I think Audrey is a little underdressed for a funeral, but if I saw her on the street I wouldn't do a double take (well, I might, but more because she bears a resemblance to a friend's wife, not because of how she's dressed).

It just seems like they are making a big show to their family to prove a point. They have been dressing and appearing very feminine until now (based on what I've seen on the show, compared to this very recent photo). I don't care how they dress, I was simply commenting on the photo.

I apologize if I offended you.

Gwyn calls her brother a racist but she tweets this: People ask me to DJ on long car trips because my music taste is impeccable but I have a confession I actually just look up playlists like “songs that excite the white folk”

  3. You would think with all the money that Dr Now has made over these past few years on TLC he would invest in his business, move to a nicer office that's not in a strip mall, pimp out the doors and chairs and scales. Also, does anyone know what those rainbow things are over the exam room doors?

  4. The "breakfast" (the clock said 4:30 or something) was simply atrocious. Microwaved eggs (wtf), a pound of bacon, a mcmuffin, and a giant cinnabon. THEN HE GAVE HER TWO MATCHING PLATTERS!!!!  Jesus Christ.

I know that Covid messed up her return visit, but good lord she had gained a metric ton. I was rooting for her in the beginning, sounds like she's had a rough life, but she clearly didn't keep up the progress during Covid. I know we've "all" gained weight during lockdown (*raises hand*), but more like #20, not #100.

Also did the husband remind anyone else of Stefan Richter from Top Chef (minus the culinary skills)?

  5. Am i the only one rooting for this guy?

He was exposed to a pedo, then spent years being bullied, then got his confidence back from years of martial arts training. Met a cool lady, had a baby. Was about to have WLS but then lost his spleen after a bad car accident, making WLS not possible. He self-admits that his eating is his own problem (as opposed to others we have seen that just play victim). Michael seems to own his shit.

And while I'm not an expert in the field of agoraphobia, I have to imagine there are levels of severity, as with all mental issues.

  6. Chase actually is somewhat attractive without the long, greasy hair/manbun,  and gross facial stubble (personal thing for me, I loathe facial hair, though I know plenty of other women find it attractive- no judgy- to each her own)

I hope TLC keeps this show on for a few more seasons. But, only because I live in Virginia, not too far from the sweet AirBnB's they use, so, they are giving me some great recommendations!!

I do hope Whitney can work hard and lose some fat (I hate to say "weight", because really, she/me/we all, should focus on losing body fat, not focus so much on the scale weight). I gained about 15 pounds during the pandemic due to self-admitted daily nachos, wine, and less time on my feet. I have recently started, in earnest, to lose this fat, and it's hard (I am 44, it really is harder at this age, dammit). That said, i am not trying to lose at a current weight of 300+. I'm probably 180, up from about 165 (at 5'5). If you have THAT much fat, if we have learned anything from Dr Now, you should lose a pound a week eating 1200 calorie.

Let me simplify this for TLC.  There is another half of the now infamous “Fat Girl Dancing” video who is a fan favorite.  His name is Todd Beasley.  You could switch gears pretty easily with Todd and focus on his life in New York in the aftermath of a MBFFL cancellation.  He is a known quantity, funnier and more interesting than Twit, and most of the fan base would watch the hell out of that show.  Call it a spin off.  Call it something catchy and I believe you will start gaining market share instead of losing it.  But then again, don’t listen to me.  I’m stupid enough to write about Twit and the gang on a message board(s) and I haven’t got a single important thing planned for the rest of the day.

For Todd, it could be called a "pirouette-off"

Bets on whether or not Twit was standing off to the side holding big cue cards in one hand and dangling his paycheck in the other?

It definitely seemed like a hostage video. All that was missing was the day's newspaper.

  8. I watched the video, and basically Buddy is saying that it was truly no big deal, he was set off by the word "basically", they squashed it in two seconds, and those of us on message boards should go get a life and "do something important"....

Straight from WWT's Instagram... Not sure how to post the Buddy video, but here is the text

Buddy asked me to post this video for y’all.

Not gonna lie, I’m thankful for @thebuddybell for making this video. Over the last 8 seasons of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, I’ve tried to stop defending myself on social media. If I jumped on here to defend myself every time I or a situation was portrayed inaccurately, I’d literally be defending myself all day long. And, we know it goes, when people defend themselves, we only look...defensive.

So, specifically, I want to point out as well that *maybe* I asked the cameras to go down because I knew we needed to discuss something a way that would PROTECT Buddy’s privacy. As far as the sports bra, my mic pack is in the back where I can’t reach it and to take it off myself I have to take my bra off — of course, I don’t usually have to because my audio guy will remove it. But as Buddy mentions, I did that LITERALLY to make the scene unusable, because it would look so weird and out of place that they wouldn’t air it. Obvs, they did, so joke’s on me!

We appreciate that y’all get invested in the show and in our lives and that’s a good thing! It keeps us employed and keeps us happy providing entertainment for you. But please, remember to think critically and understand that you are seeing 8 months of life condensed into 14 45-minute episodes. Reality TV is not live-streaming.

I’m gonna be a little vulnerable here and say that, yes, even though this my job it does hurt to be criticized for being fat and ugly — but even more so for things like being a bad pet owner, a selfish friend, a bad daughter, etc. There are forums of tens of thousands of people who digitally stalk and tear me down to the point where it’s a literal obsession to them. People show up to my house, my car windows get bricks thrown into them, and the police visit in the middle of the night to do welfare checks on me because they get calls saying someone is planning to kill me. I don’t like to focus on this side of reality TV or complain too much because SO MUCH GOOD has come from this.

We just ask that you realize our lives are so much more complex and nuanced than you could ever see on TV + that we are human beings. Thanks for the support + ❤️ over these last 8 seasons.

  10. Oh boy... So much, so much, to discuss....

    1. Todd is the biggest diva bitch ever, and I love every minute of him. The refrigerator comment, the effortless rock climbing, the pirouettes, the kicks...

    2. The shirt/mic stripshow... OK, so she wants the audience to think she is protecting Buddy from some big personal revelation, when REALLY, he is calling her out for being a selfish asshole. I understand to remove the mic that taking off your shirt and bra would be the quickest way, but Dear God Woman, put that shirt back ON. Then she waddles half naked down the hallway... Jeebus

    3. I really, actually, love Ashley. She seems like such a sweet, gentle woman. I totally understand her emotions about hugging her friend, after little to no physical contact during the pandemic.

    4. I think it was MamaDrama (apologies if I am wrong, and please claim the credit) that discovered the AirBnB for us... Nice work!!

    5. If TLC wanted to make a social impact, they should do a deep dive into Buddy and his addiction and depression issues. Especially in these pandemic times, mental health crises is a real thing. People can benefit from knowing other people are dealing with the same things. One thing I actually like about today's society is how non-taboo conversations about MH are.

    6. Isiah. That's all.

Chewy bacon. I guess I speak Kelli-ese, I knew what she meant 😂

I think it was "If you were bacon, you'd be floppy"... prompting Kelsey to think about how she likes to eat her bacon. Verdict? Crispy.

Yeah... I have to agree. Sometimes, I notice that Hannah makes the arch in her eyebrow too severe and it doesn't flatter her.

YES!!! Her brows are way too square!! I can't believe no one has told her!

Her thing is lyrical but I honestly think she's a better pom dancer; she has a great smile and "game day" energy if that makes sense. Agree that she's getting groomed for point asap even though there are definitely better candidates. We all know it's coming though.

I read this as "porn dancer"... lololol

Not at all. They did Kristin dirty this week. Downright shady – intentionally misrepresening the artistic intent of her piece to put her in her place.

They smeared Kristin because they don’t like her politics. Shame on Kelli and Charlotte. The Joneses are perfectly fine with mixing politics and football – but they don't welcome politics they disagree with. This is one the reasons the NFL is getting an increasingly bad reputation.

I guess I don't understand... what happened with Kristin?

  16. I don't understand the VK thing, why Kelly and Judy are so in love with her. I mean, aside from the obvious nepotism. Her teeth annoy me so much.
