Yet another reason that I think TV seasons should be limited to only 10 episodes, as they are throughout the Commonwealth. It's almost impossible to be funny or riveting throughout long seasons. But American TV prefers beating dead horses to leave 'em wanting more.

I disagree this season of Ghosts was ten episodes long and it was too short. You would also have too constantly be applying for work which wouldn't be good for the people who work behind the scenes. That was one of the reasons SAG went on strike.

Also, as an aspiring gourmet chef, it's an opportunity for Jay to test his "splash of [crab stock] really deepens the umami of the guacamole" recipe, since differently sourced avocados or other ingredients could vary the results.

As for Jay eating all of it, he might want to see if the flavor, consistency, etc. holds up the next day.

But do we know anything about:

Regardless, I've observed that just as often, those who grew up without money will tend to spend what they do have, with varying results, just as the "Haves" do with their much greater options for experimentation.
At least Jay isn't running off to Vegas or making payments on a yacht.

I love the ghosts but I hope the longer season gives more focus to Sam and Jay. I want to see Jay's parents and we know Sam's mom is dead but we don't know about her dad.

Maybe Jay planned on eating it all!

I think Jay can't budget. He's spent money on new sneakers and a new television. He wasted ingredients on cake for the ghosts. I wonder if he grew up with more money than Sam? I think this could cause arguments between them since Sam is the only one earning money right now.

I was bummed Alex didn't go through. Nothing against Nikki, she just always seems like a sourpuss in her talking heads, so I'm guessing she does not win. Oh well, I always figured it would be one of the boys winning. All in all, a pretty talented season.

Looking forward to this new show starting Monday. Would someone be so kind as to remind me where I've seen Ludo before. Was it Masterchef Australia, maybe?

Ludo was in Rat in the Kitchen on TBS.

I was glad that Carol admitted that Pete was good in bed, that probably explains why she didn't divorce him.

I didn't think Donna looked like Loni Anderson (or whoever they said), other than being pretty and blond. Her talk with Pete about staying seemed self serving.

Another cliffhanger, but at least we know who got pulled into the wall. I predict the first episode of next season will just be a conversation in a pitch black setting.

Thor and Flower don't deserve Nancy.

Pete was good in bed? I thought he told Sam they didn't have sex on their wedding night.

  6. I didn't like this episode as much as the last two. I'm not surprised Isaac was reluctant to get married they barely know each other. I also think he feels guilty about his marriage to Beatrice. I liked the Pete subplot and hated the downside to his power. What's the point of having an awesome power if you can't use it? I hope they don't add Patience to the cast we already have Carol who is useless. I don't understand why the basement ghosts were so angry with the upstairs ghosts. Nancy never spent time with Isaac and Nigel and Flower and Pete were nice to them.

In other news, water is wet. Sorry, I try to control my snark because I respect that a lot of people really love this show, but for me it’s more of a filler and I tend to cringe at things that others bring up as their favorite moments. Whew, got that off my chest!  Off to watch Ghosts now.

I think Abbott Elementary is inconsistent. Some episodes are great others are awful. Ghosts is always funny and usually heartwarming. I think Ghosts deserves the Emmy this year.

  8. I think they should do an all group season. It's nuts that they have duos and groups perform and they never win. Pentatonix should have won during their season.

  9. Did Abbott Elementary forget that they are a comedy? I didn't laugh once. There was nothing funny about watching Melissa and Barbara argue or Gregory feeling jealous that Janine was with someone else. Ghosts is better than Abbott Elementary.

Damn, I really wasn't expecting this given that they're big name singers as compared to Gumball.

Edit : Wow, based on the looks on their faces, the judges really didn't know who Beets were.

I can understand why Rita wouldn't know who Clay and Ruben were because American Idol wasn't on in England. I don't know why the others didn't know them.

I find I will laugh at and admire different characters depending on the episode, but I love Nancy's character ALL the time. She has hilarious lines and her delivery is always spot on. Even Thor and her side-coupling made sense. She must always stay in this series.

Nancy is hilarious unlike Carol who is boring. I'm waiting for her to reconcile with Pete so she'll leave.

It's been a very long time since I've last rewatched this episode, but I have a vague recollection that Lily was just trying to get under the serial killer's skin with the stuff about Brenda being stronger. Lily wasn't shy about saying things other than what she really thought, or knew to be true, in order to get what she needed out of a suspect.

A reboot makes sense to me. Back then I didn't like episodes that were close to the present, and now that present is really sufficiently past that episodes set in that time frame would hit very differently. And there would be something of a different perspective on the previously covered past eras of the 80s and 70s. And of course there's the factor of them planning to set it in a very different locale which also works to open up new material. I don't think they would have any trouble generating a few seasons of worthwhile episodes. The cold-cases concept itself is inherently interesting and not one that's been mined by other crime procedurals to anywhere near the extent that Cold Case did.

Lily identified with the underdog so she would never shame someone for not being popular. I love Two Hearts because it's based on two actual con artists and the soundtrack is great.

So, the Commanders selected Jayden Daniels.  Sure, he won the Heisman but he looks kind of slim and I'm getting RG III vibes--and that ain't good.  Good luck, young man, and I hope I'm wrong.

I wanted the Patriots to draft Jayden Daniels instead of Drake Maye. Jayden won more games in his college career including beating Alabama. Who got booed worse tonight Dallas or Green Bay?

I agree, but they probably assumed that Pete would stay by Jay's side. What could go wrong? 🤣

I was surprised that Pete didn't stay closer to Jay and that he never took Laura on vacation when she was younger. He would have some great discounts as a travel agent.

  15. This episode was much lighter than last week thank goodness. I was impressed that none of the ghosts were jealous of Pete's ghost power. I think Sam suggested Jay take Pete shopping since they enjoy watching basketball together.  Nice call back to Jay having a big appetite. Thorfin should have been honest with Flower from the beginning.

this is my exact issue with these commercials.  I don't give a crap where they store their dog food but, yes, it is actually dog food no matter what they try to imply what it is.  It is food for the dog, therefore dog food.

Exactly if you aren't a dog owner it would seem strange to put dog food in the fridge. Also that's a pretty shallow reason to cut ties with another person.

For the recent Cold Justice episodes:

    • On "Bound and Gagged" it was absolutely heartbreaking that Derby was finally getting her life together when her sh*t of a husband killed her, and that she pretty much knew that it was going to happen when she tried to leave him. I hate that he got away with it for so long, and while I'm super glad he was arrested, I'm not sure it will ever end up going to trial...it just didn't seem like there was enough evidence to convict.
    • On "Stabbed in the Heart", the minute they said in the very opening, that the son had come to surprise the dad for breakfast on the morning of the  graduation, I knew that the son was actually not slated to graduate and was guilty of killing his dad. We have seen time and time again that when a big lifestyle secret is about to be exposed, especially with education, that the secret-keeper will often murder to try to keep the secret. And what was up with the detective woman saying, regarding the fact that a window had been broken, "why would the son need to break the window when he had a key to the house?" I was thinking, "duh, to make it look like a break-in", and really wondered if that dialogue was just scripted for moving the plot along or if she was really that stupid. And then, speaking of stupid, of course it turns out that the window has been broken after the crime was committed, given that the glass was on top of the blood. Reminds me of the one where the glass had been broken from the inside to the outside, so all the glass was outside the house. In that one and this one, the perps were males in the 17-19 age group...not the brightest bulbs in the pack!

I think the son did it in Stabbed in the Heart but it will be impossible to prove. A good defense lawyer will question the witness' memories and why they didn't go to the police right after the murder.

The absolute worst one for me is the Sheba commercial where the mother ignores her son saying he's hurt while she's cuddling her cat.  I hope the actress never finds work again.

I don't blame the actress she's reading from a script. I blame the creators of the ad.
