Unpopular opinion: Jalynn’s a great dancer, but she’s not attractive. She has weird, bulgy eyes. And she does too many weird sultry faces instead of a nice bright smile. Remember her rookie cameo? Hard pass.

They literally participated in Meet the Team!! They have uniforms, lockers, and cheer at the games. What is the standard for being on the team? Even when the Maverick’s dancers had to “try out” for each halftime performance, no one said they weren’t on the team.

There were consistently girls in early seasons who had “just started dancing”, or had only cheer experience. Kelly Jo, Loni Lindsay, Joanna Liad, Terri, Jasmine, and Jordan Chanley were not good dancers.

I’ve been a hard core “Maddie is unattractive and soft and has absolutely no business being point” person. However, she looks great here. I think her long hair helps a lot. Maybe makes her face look less pudgy?

I definitely think Lily looks haggard because she’s lost too much weight, and not just the bad hair and makeup she’s wearing now.

THIS. I thought VK was awful last year, annoying and immature, and suuuuuper soft and jiggly. None of the choreographers or group leaders gave her a sticker. And she was cut for it! She looks like a DCC this season, and seems more mature.

I could totally be wrong, but I get the sense the candidates are way more stratified than they used to be. They used to get 600 girls like Loni or Kalli Fullerton who were super mediocre and could barely do the splits. Those girls aren’t showing up anymore, but they are having an increased number of high-caliber candidates in terms of their training from around the country. I’m thinking of Megan C., Maggie, Daphne, and then the best cheerleaders from other pro teams (Bridget, Hannah, Danielle). SAME. Hard pass.

It’s not a question of who we think is the nicest or sweetest or cutest or best ambassador. It’s the person who will be the face of the DCC. Maddie looks like a (slightly) pudgy little girl trying to look sexy. I want to pat her on the head and say “Bless your heart, that’s adorable”, and not “that’s a beautiful, sexy woman”.

I’m saying Miranda and Bridget for weight warning. Miranda is like a worse-dancing Maddie to me...super nice girl, good ambassador, but soft and not hot. I’m glad she got her weird boobs fixed, though.

Show this split screen to 100 people on the street and ask who they’d rather see at point. Hint: it won’t be Maddie.

I feel like a lot of her support is from the Mormon community and from her town in Utah. She was close to winning the fan vote her first year in training camp not because she was great, but because her hometown radio station ran news items that people should vote for her. Other people like her from her personality on the show, in that she seems very sweet and is a good person. That’s different than the casual fan who has never seen or heard of her watching her dance point. I agree that the cameramen are going to focus on Rachel W., Lexie, Heather, and probably Bridget and Alexis too.

I totally think it will be Kat and Meredith cut, based on the low amount of stickers they had, and Meredith was in Melissa R.’s mentoring group. Lily has 3 stickers. I feel like Kristin is totally safe, too.
