  1. Did y'all notice that in one scene Max was using a Big Boy Camera?!?  I was momentarily worried that Nev had thrown Max's treasured tiny camera into a body of water, but it diligently returned a couple of scenes later.

  2. I'm still relatively new to actively reading comics.  I didn't know one could even, like, HAVE a "pull list"?  Here's what I'm reading, though:

    • Adventure Time [Lumpy Space Princess is my favorite, obvs]
    • Saga [pretty much... every character is my favorite?]
    • Hawkeye [the L.A. stuff is not my favorite, bro]
    • Sex Criminals [this one might be even weirder than Adventure Time]
    • Alex + Ada [one issue in seems like Her, the comic... in an awesome way]
    • Ms. Marvel [about to read issue two]

Have basically dropped: The Manhattan ProjectZeroEast of West

  3. The movie was fun.  But I would have liked more past/future interaction.  It would have been interesting, for instance, for Wolverine to have been pulled back to the future midway through, forcing the future-folk to come up with a Plan B.

Basically, I wanted more timey-wimey-ness and less raven-sad-face-ness.

  4. I'm guessing that the next episode will start with a rational explanation for the fish-tapult/fish-nado.  Maybe involving fish that was being shipped to the head honcho gangster guy at the beginning?  Like the blizzard causes a truck full of fish to crash?  And those fish get swept up in a windstorm thing?

I also wonder about the case of money returned to the snowbank.  Will that reappear this season?  Or is that money going to be the thing that ties together various seasons of this show?

  5. This is my first season watching this dumb show.  And I am VERY DISAPPOINTED to learn that there even are "happy" non-catfishing endings.  All I was left with this episode was deciding whether I was more annoyed by Antoinette's horribleness or Nev's moralistic preening about Antoinette's horribleness.

  6. Martha survived the season!  With her Chekhov-ian gun still in play!  I predict now that Season Three will some some birth control hijinks from Miss Martha.

  7. I just caught up on last week's episode and discovered that my fan-splanation for the Clark-Martha Wig Situation (from earlier in this thread) was TOTALLY RIGHT!  She's known it is a toupee the whole time!  But was just too polite to say so!  Fan-wanking 4 The Win!

  8. Regardless of whether Freddie is dead (I think no), the fact remains that Will has a freezer full of human!  And knowingly brought man meat [gross] to Hannibal!  For eating purposes!  Does this then make Will an anti-villain of sorts?

  9. I doff my hat to the Game of Thrones theme.  I can't help but sing along to the bass line every time.

I would also label the Bob's Burgers theme as: disappointing.  I mean, it's fine.  But considering all of the great and hilarious things the show does with music in general, the theme is no great shakes.

  10. That was IMPRESSIVE.  Impressive that they didn't do a "guess who's going to die" promo at the end of the last episode.  Impressive that they entirely threw the series-defining will-they-won't-they Will-Alicia relationship out the window.  Impressive that the casting implications didn't leak ahead of time.  Impressive that they ended the episode starkly with that "Hello" [cut to black].  Impressive that they did this in a mid-season episode rather than a finale.  Impressive that they didn't give Will a hyper-emotional pre-death speech (but did fit in an nonintrusive moment of detente between Will and Alicia earlier in the episode).  Impressive.

This show has been excellent this season.  And last week's episode is even better in the context of this episode.

  11. Daaaaaamn.  That was good.  And interesting that even in saving someone's life, Hannibal committed an enormous act of betrayal.

So why did Hannibal resuscitate good ol' Zoe from Firefly?  Because it was sort of an asshole move that he found interesting/amusing?  To curry favor with Jack?  Because he wants to kill her himself later?

  12. I miss the days when this show was part procedural.  I mean how are Liv and the Gladiators making any actual cash money these days?  I wish some Senator would hire them to deal with her bratty high school kid's shenanigans or something.  It would be refreshing.
