I want fun and serious at the same time. Which is why I vote for Stephen Mangan, if it's at all possible. See him in Dirk Gently, then see him in Houdini and Doyle. God he's good. And funny. And sexy. And smart. Agree about Alex Kingston. She's the only woman I have no problem envisioning in the role. Don't see it happening, though, not with her being in so many eps in iconic role.
