  1. Briscoe/Logan is my top team (I grew to really like Green and he was great with Briscoe, Fontana and Lupo. I also like Lupo/Bernard).

Season 4 has a lot of great eps. I showed Profile to some friends who really weren't that familiar with L&O (I know, shocking) and they thought it was great - if I had to show someone L&O when it cooks, that's a top contender.

Apocrypha's ending is just so chilling and sad. The best L&Os, you get involved in all the characters and that girl who bonds with Logan is terrific.

Ones from 4 that I love so far not mentioned: Pride and Joy, Golden Years, Mayhem, Censure, Nurture.

I don't understand why Hilary couldn't do more with a 125K budget. She gave them a brand new kitchen, removed a wall to open up the space, and also stole space from the office to enlarge the primary bedroom. Yes, they got new furniture for the 2 bedrooms, living room, and office, but that was it. The bathroom was not touched. The dollar amounts flashing on the TV screen go by too quickly for me to tally. I'm guessing 50K for a new kitchen, so to me 75K for the rest is a lot. My husband kept saying they needed a new roof most of all! I know Hilary uses very high end finishes, but I often think she could do more with the budget if she didn't use such high end material.

Yes. Although I wonder if, because they're starting to show people in their rentals (Christina did the same in one of her On the Coast eps this year), they're figuring the cost of being out of the house in there as well? It's like Nate and Jeremiah using marble all the time, the costs sometimes seem off.

Also, why did the daughter want her room redone with that awkward way the bed and desk were set up? No way that giggling homeowner could do anything on that tiny desk - I stg I don't know who they are making these work from home offices for, because I have one and it has big desks and many monitors, not one tiny computer on an even tinier space (maybe it's because I watch too many home office set up vids on YT from tech people).

nd that storage shed out in the backyard for her many clothes and boots.  I'm sorry, even if it is a brand new storage shed, I am not going to store my clothes and shoes outside.  Spiders!  And other crawly things!

    And damp and mold!

The wife's constant giggling got on my nerves.  With her laughing and blank look on her face I wondered if she is medicated. The husband didn't have much to say, clearly the wife is in charge there since it was her house to begin with.

Odds of it all being back the way it was before Hillary started in, say, six months? I'd say even. I'm not even halfway through the episode and wow, was that homeowner oppositional. The giggling drove me crazy. Sure, they didn't have enough time to clear things out - I wonder if they were expecting the crew to just clear out the rest. That shed...so much stuff. Hilary may be short on the sugar but she clearly has patience. (also, I am so tired of that commercial...)

  4. I keep waiting for Terry to mention if Donnell Whittenburg is related to his old teammate Derrick, considering that both are from Maryland but not as far as I’ve watched….

  5. How they did not mention previous judge Johnny Weir in any of those peacocking discussions/examples is beyond me. I mean, it's one thing to wear those clothes on a red carpet and another to wear them while covering sports (yes, granted, it's figure skating but c'mon...).

    Anyway.

Brittany got really lucky with her model because that outfit was almost clown not peacock. Laurence skated by again with something that wasn't much of anything. But the right person went home.

  6. Ortegas at least has watched The Empire Strikes Back - and apparently no one else has. Seriously, zombie movies over “and then we just float away”/“with the rest of the garbage.” Erica and Han Solo would be propping up a bar somewhere, telling tall tales of who’s the better pilot.

I like NuScotty but I swear, if there’s a young country doctor held hostage on the Gorn ship, I give up.

really wish they had simply made up a new alien rather than use the Gorn for this Alien/xenomorph BS

    Me too.

La’an can’t die at the hands of the Gorn because

    Spoiler

We already had Captain Shaw die at the hands of the Borg after surviving them and they can’t do that twice, could they? I mean, two ripoffs of Jaws in two series?

I started watching this again just for the opening theme. In the first song, when sickbay is checking in, saying eveything's ok, "just the mundane - a headache, a splinter..."

How do you get a splinter on a starship?

For all we know, Pike has some ensign chopping up mesquite for a grill.

I wondered the same about the neighbors and who would want to live in that, so I started searching for articles about the house and where it was located.

I found the location on google map, and then found that it is currently listed for sale.  BUT, y'all will be happy to know that it has been "de-barbiefied" and is now something a respectable owner and neighborhood would be happy to have.

Here is the link to the Google Map location (the photos show the original look):

    And here's the listing: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/15330-Michael-Crest-Dr-Santa-Clarita-CA-91387/20214247_zpid/

I want to see the episode where someone turns it “back” into the non Barbie version and how they picked what to keep.

I also really didn’t want that outcome!

I use Opera, which is also a very neat and tidy browser.  It also has a great ad blocker.  I have it on my tool bar, and I never have to sign in.  I have used it for years with no problems. (I also do not like Safari.  Too much "stuff" on the screen.)

Thank you for this. Primetimer is a hot mess on mobile Safari and Opera seems to stop it. Hurray!

  10. I hated the Buffy musical and I didn’t like this one either. I’m at the “just no” table…however, so many of them can really sing.

Christina Chong is releasing singles so she definitely wants the music career.

I feel really slow on the uptake, only now realizing La’an’s ancestor will be part of the reason David Marcus dies. (And yet another problem with SNW vs TOS)

Was not expecting the doctor to be the real butcher of )’Gal. It did make sense with him being in his MASH type hospital fixing the wounded and the constant bringing of new patients.

It was very MASH - the constant "incoming transport" instead of "incoming wounded," the tents, the shelling, the way Chapel arrived and was thrown right in. I know it's a difference in age, but you could read M'Benga as like Col Potter, who went into the Army as a soldier then became a doctor (I guess?).

Is that the one with Rory Flack coaching the synchro team?

Yes. No one comes off looking good, at least to me. I don't know why they agreed to it (maybe they got some tiny appearance fee). The team name is unfortunate, too. Really, they couldn't come up with an acronym that WASN'T DMV???

  13. Anson Mount, most of all, and the cast make this show and remain the reason I watch. Even through complete damage to the timeline, this weird making the Vulcans into jerks (it’s like the hatred for the Jedi in SW), and the unfortunate making of these adults into really weird teenagers at points. Although the women running “Spock School” was funny.

I did want to see Charades. Does Pike have his cooking videos on Federation TikTok? Mount was hilarious, trying to navigate that dinner. Spock making the tea and T’Pring telling him to slow down to let the tea make properly is every pour over coffee YouTube I’ve ever seen. Is there a Vulcan James Hoffman somewhere?

So there’s a moon in the Vulcan system with a wormhole and none of them have investigated? Huh? Glad Christine told Officious Jerk off.

Has anyone else seen Breaking the Ice, a new documentary series (WE TV) about Rory Flack and the all–African American girls’ synchro team she coaches?

Yes, I've seen ep 1. I don't know how ep 2 will go but 1 was really Dance Moms on Ice but with less drama. All the parents together, the kid who doesn't want to be there. I started laughing when she said "show me your axels" and then we get a sequence of jumps, most of which are not axels.

  16. The discussion about fixed points in time…where’s the Doctor when you need him/her?

That was the smallest group of people hanging around a major disaster and not filming, ever.

Tungunska! is Krycek still there…the Romulan masquerading as a conspiracy obsessed person was a nice X-Files riff as well.

I realized belatedly that the Noonien-Singh institute looked like the TV Flash’s institute - was Flash shot in Toronto or Vancouver?

Hey, Jim, big sign saying Toronto over your shoulder, want to try again?

  17. The CGI in Indy 5 is a complete recreation and a long sequence, and there is a lot of other CGI. They were able to do it because they had all that footage from the other Indy films and from the Star Wars Original Trilogy, from what I’ve read.

If they wanted to de-age Harrison a bit (doesn’t look like they are), it’s not budget breaking. Apple could fish that much money out of the executive suite’s couch cushions. They’re doing similar things to Indy with Hamill on Mandalorian, so it’s feasible. But there’s easier ways with makeup to make him look younger.
