If it was shown on tv, it can be discussed, or speculated on, etc. We are all watching the same episode, and if a viewer happens to successfully guess the next plot line that's fine as well.

I think the point of the original complaint (substantiated by the quote from site rules, above) was that it shouldn’t be discussed in a thread for an earlier episode. There are definitely other threads where it’s fair game to discuss.

And posters who are apologizing may not be knowledgeable about how to edit their spoilery posts. I think it varies slightly with settings and browsers, but, for me, the edit feature is revealed by clicking on the three dots (…) in the top right of my post:

    Screenshot2024-04-21at11_18_32PM.thumb.png.b0524b395e9bc7289b24db5e4fd3b607.png

The top right is the last place English readers look. The "Edit" feature was not always hidden. So it's understandable people might not know they can edit the spoilers out of their posts.

Timely reminder.  And further, if you don't know how to edit a post, you may also not realize there's a way to hide spoilers (either when posting originally or when editing).  Highlight the portion of the text you want to hide, then click the "eyeball" icon at the top of the text window:

    image.thumb.png.a61bf763e68d9442b7d1d79928225cc5.png

And (editing to add), if you have a spoiler in your post, please say what it's a spoiler for. Nothing is more frustrating than a spoiler box sitting there with no explanation.  Is it a spoiler for a different show or movie that you think has a similar theme?  For something you read in an interview or news article that addresses future episodes?

What's the rule on spoilers?  I thought that even if it appeared in a promo, it was still considered a spoiler and shouldn't be discussed until the next episode airs.  Because seriously, y'all just sorta ruined the next episode for me.  I would have been fine just knowing "we find out about Pete's ghost power", but now I know what it is.

Sorry, don't mean to be a party pooper, but I'm old school and like being surprised at things.

I agree in principle, but I just saw an ad for the upcoming episode during 60 Minutes that gave away what the ghost power is. So you’d pretty much have to avoid CBS entirely to avoid that kind of spoiler.

But you have a good point - we have a Spoiler & Speculation thread, and we have an episode thread for that future episode, so IMO there’s no need for people to be discussing it here.

Featured in a 2020 film, she gets her name from a 16th c. Italian stock character who often wore diamond-patterned outfits

Since I was not a comic book kid nor am I a superhero movie adult, all I could come up with was Argylle.  Which was a movie (check) and diamond-patterned-related (check) but have no idea if Argylle was an actual character, and I'm pretty sure it came out later than 2020.  Better than leaving it blank?

  5. While we're nitpicking...  Near the end, Hetty said something like "I didn't realize you could dial out on that phone" but I can't remember if it was flashback-Hetty or present-day-Hetty.  If it was in the flashback, I call foul, since it wouldn't have had a dial and nobody would have used "dial out" to mean "make a call".  If it was present-day-Hetty, I give her a pass since she's probably heard "dial" used by a few generations of livings.  (And hey, now "dial" has been sent to the  word history museum along with rolling up the car windows and taping a tv show.)

Hey folks, remind me of what date/week I should use for the start of calculating the 0 streak champion(s). I've forgotten amid all the tournaments and such.

My vote is for awarding the longest 0 streak, regardless of when it started/ended.  Alternatively, the Tournament of Champions started on Feb 23.  I think that's when we started realizing we weren't in Kansas anymore, even if some of us might have already had a streak going at that point. So maybe just count ToC and JIT  games (so, Feb. 23-Apr. 9)?

And to be fair, (and since you're going back and counting anyway) may I suggest also awarding the longest correct streak?

Side note- I do wonder why these forums don't have a wrestling forum or at least a topic, considering it *is* on TV. In any case...

There is a sports forum here:

    https://forums.primetimer.com/forum/189-sports/

with the option to start a new topic.  Existing topics are for NBA, NFL, various Superbowls, golf, tennis, etc.  That would seem like the appropriate place to start a thread.

It's near the bottom of the home page, under Beyond TV Shows > Interests and Hobbies.

🙀 I blazed right through this season and came right over here to see if there were any comments and...nope. It was sooooo good! Off to watch the next season.

Which season did you blaze through? S1 has quite a few comments earlier in this thread, and S2 has episode threads. Is there a S3 that hasn’t been released in the US yet?

I get like a lot of junk emails.

But I'm told unsubscribing actually makes it worse.

DSW thinks I must buy shoes every day, multiple times.

It's my favorite shoe store, but who the heck needs that many emails from them?!

Legit mailers usually have an ‘unsubscribe’ and/or ‘email preferences’ option (that often actually works).

It’s the true spammers that you shouldn’t unsubscribe or reply to. That just lets them know they got an actual person’s email, so the address becomes more valuable.

So… Watson? What’s he been up to lately?

That was a joke when I posted it, but now that I think more about it, I wonder how the current state of AI would fare in Jeopardy!

also did not understand why firefighter Ben just stood there watching the whole scene.  It seemed like it would be a good idea to call out the rescue squad than just hope some interns would handle things themselves.

Maybe I dozed off and fantasized this, but I thought I saw the rescue team (the Station 19 people?) mobilizing with a rescue net or something, after presumably being advised of the situation. But I could be likely been misremembering.

  12. Wait, so tonight’s “vintage” episode is from literally last week?? Really seems like they’re squandering an opportunity to bring back some old stuff. Best of Norm McDonald’s Weekend Update OJ slams?  Anything besides the (edited down version of the) episode that’s already on my dvr?

  13. Is this referring to “Health and Wellness Chit-Chat: Your Primary Care Topic” (in this forum:  https://forums.primetimer.com/forum/1322-health-wellness/)?  If that’s the case, I vote for leave as is - seems to explain the topic well. If that’s not the thread you mean, please clarify.

(And if this is the forum I’m thinking of, there’s already a mental health topic. Maybe consider pinning Primary Care and Mental Health if people are getting confused?)

The muscle scraping thing is called gua sha. As a tool it’s been around forever. Nothing would prevent anyone from doing this with a regular bar of soap or a 2$ gua sha scraper.

I was wondering about that soap thing. It looked like you could use maybe 25% of the soap before it wasn’t usable. Maybe there was a holder involved but it wasn’t obvious.

I agree. I’m bored with Audrey, and her competitive relationship with Mary makes them both look awful.

Even Mary and Audrey with the hostile spaghetti/bread invite

Yes I was coming here to say I did enjoy the passive-aggressive politeness? Weaponized hostility? when Audrey tried to reclaim the baby. I guess it helps if you don’t think it through too much (and maybe have half a bucket of spaghetti in the refrigerator).

I like Amy, too, but I was hoping for someone we didn't just see. But I'm happy for her.

My understanding is that Masters is sort of like the premier league, where the top players return and the lower tier gets relegated. So I wouldn’t expect some dark horse player to get placed in Masters. So maybe Amy proved herself worthy of promotion? Anyway, between The Jeopardy Fan and the Inside podcast, maybe we’ll get more insider info eventually.

Didn’t he have the same deal where his pager went off when he was on the table?  I know we’re by now off topic for the current episode, but now I’m just trying to remember.
