  1. Fine. I’ll be the cheese that stands alone and say that I wasn’t a fan of this. We read the reviews before going, knew what we were getting into and wanted to like it...but it was a big ol’nope.

That being said, the actors were fantastic and the scenery and costumes were worth the price of admission. It was a visual feast and I spent most of the movie drooling over the lavish attention to detail.

We loved The Lobster. This one just didn't work for us and I ended up disliking every single character. The rabbit and Abigail’s shoe was the last straw. Boo. Hiss. What a wretched bunch.

  2. You guys. I live on the West coast and LMAO at your commentary while I hate watch the episode. You’re providing a service and I am grateful. Thanks!

I have questions. WHAT ARE WE (and by “we”, I mean “I”)  SUPPOSED TO DO ON SUNDAY NIGHTS WHEN THIS SHITSHOW RUNS OUT OF EPISODES. It’s happening. Soon. It’s stressing me out. And also, can’t Ashley just file for an annulment?

I know. I've been part of those discussions. But my recollection is that, for the most part, in those earlier episodes Mark wore clothes out that were typical for a boy. At the mall gathering election comments, for instance, Mark was wearing pants/jeans (they were decorated, but they weren't a skirt).  The Halloween stuff doesn't count because it's Halloween. And it doesn't matter what he wears at home, as the family has addressed it. But to school? I know that schools are better at handling this than they were, but I lived in neighboring Indiana, have relatives there now and it would seem like wearing a skirt would be a step too far even for a school trying to be aware. I would have liked the show to have addressed this in passing at least. My fear is that, without at least some commentary, the show will make it a central issue when some schoolmate punches Mark over it. Ugh.

I teach in Seattle, WA and had a 4th grade student (two years ago) that was biologically male but identified as female. He wore a lovely long haired wig and a skirt to school on most days. Overall, his peers and the school staff were kind and very accepting. The adults in the outside community...not so much.

I’m loving this show and weighing in with a hard no on Dan and Jackie.  Ditto for reuniting Darlene and David.

But I do have one major quibble.  Everything about the script (watering down the milk, scrambling for money to pay the electric bill, the broken-down minibus in the yard...etc.) indicates that their dwelling and furnishings should be much more cramped and shabby than they actually look. Their stuff is way nicer than mine! No duct tape holding anything together (the old "broken" washing machine was even a late-model front loader), no cracks in the walls, no mismatched/castoff chairs, etc.

In fairness, this is par for the course: with a few exceptions (Roseanne being a notable one), production designers and set decorators seem unfamiliar with the milieu of a large swath of society that lies in the "working poor" zone between the middle class and the destitute (the latter, whether living on the street or in some sort of abandoned, crack-house kind of dwelling, they do portray pretty regularly). To them, the stuff they place in the set is shabbier than anything they can imagine in their living space.

Ok, late to the Shameless party but so much this! I’ve been dirt poor and let me tell you...you don‘t have a membership to Costco, you’re never buying in bulk and you can’t afford name brands. Check out their kitchen...the amount of name brand food and drinks they have completely distracts me. Being so broke that your utilities are being shut off and you’re regularly scrounging for change translates into small packages of the cheapest store brand items you can find.

Also agree about the furnishings and such. I suppose I can appreciate the token effort from the out of touch set designers but no, just no.

David's sister would be wise to take that $1000 and put it towards her bottom teeth.  And wow, the David Poor gene pool is some kinda ugly.  Meanwhile, Annie looks like she's trying to compete with David on who will gain the most weight when they supposedly can't afford food.

I think they’re gaining weight because the only food they can afford is cheap and highly processed...probably the same reason Nicole is gaining. Meh.

I am not trying to be gross here, but with their anatomy the way it is how do they wipe their butts ?

Is it just me or is an 18 year who has never been out before with a friend coming in at 230am a bit late ?

Elena must be hurting for money, her extensions this year don't match and look cheaply done

There are handheld aids available to help them with hygiene tasks. Think of the extension bars you can use to reach something on a high shelf...they are similar to that.

I don’t think 2:30am is that scandalous. I find it weirder that an 18 year old has never been out with friends.

And they all look busted. Hope they’re being smart with their money because this franchise is circling the drain.

Agree with the poster that noticed Terra’s butt. It’s always been big, but now it’s  morphing into WTF territory.

  7. OK, come on. These frozen face dopes want us to believe that any of them were strangers to botox? Please. We’ve been bouncing quarters off of their faces for several seasons now. What a joke.

Still whoozy from the neon yellow hair on the salon girl. Wtf. Why do I watch this crap.

I believe Mark had his head in the left-most cake.

Isn't that DJ's old bedroom? Harris and Mark are sharing Becky and Darlene's old double bedroom.

Meh. Good catch and probably. I was speaking to how David would know which room Darlene was staying in.

I'm still wondering how David knew which room was now Darlene's.

It makes sense to me that David would know that Darlene was staying in her old bedroom because it was revealed that he had had ongoing/recent contact with Roseanne.

Is there really a reason for a reunion though? And Tera is such an awful host.

Oh, there is absolutely no reason for a reunion but that’s never stopped them before. Besides that, there are at least (maybe)  five of us that would watch it...so bring it on! I’ve got my dinner of a ham and cheese lunchable and  fruit punch Capri Sun all ready to go!

  11. Miss Juicy is at least 46. I know this because the internet told me so it must be true. Her home purchase is the stupidest thing ever and I’m guessing she bought it with the expectation that her gig with Little Women equates financial security. Wrong. She needs to be banking every penny because this franchise is on life support.

None of these women should be having babies. Not because they are little but because they have the combined IQ of a Q-tip. Andrea won’t raise this baby. She will burden her parents or her sister with it. Or maybe Minnie was setting up the next storyline and Miss Juicy will adopt it. Good grief.

Sam was fawning all over Tanya’s dad. An ongoing prison record and hadn’t met the grandbaby yet...seemed like a real winner.

  12. I should be too ashamed of myself for continuing to watch this crap but instead I watch it in the dark with a tub of ice cream.

Minnie. I don’t care if we’re talking a little person or not, I don’t think it’s too much to ask that any adult in reasonably good health be able to complete a 5k. You din’t have to run it; just walk the damt thing. It’s 3 miles. Take all day if you need to. Jeez.

And what a grand idea for chest tat twin to have another baby. To go with the medical needs toddler that the parents are raising and her medical needs infant daughter that she already can’t mange. Stupendous .... emphasis on the STUP.

HATED the way that Monie talked  with her teenage son. She was all about telling him that he would move if he loved her. Then complained in her voiceover about how unfair it was that the other girls get to bring their kids to gatherings and she doesn’t. She should totally have another baby...because really, babies are just like purses.

  13. I’m going to say it because I have to.

I’m glad that Ari is gone for no other reason than her cystic acne made me itch. You’re a pretty woman, get thee to a dermatologist.

In fact, there are a couple of others with exceptionally bad skin this season. Not sure why I’m finding it so distracting other than that I’m a bit of an ass.

  14. Ok, seriously. Am I the only one who recognizes no makeup Molly as a 40 year old visual clone of the puffy no eyebrow Amanda Portwood from the original “16 and Pregnant”? It can’t just be me!

And Ashley looks like her Dad in poorly done drag.

  15. Mae displays every symptom of a child being raised by a low functioning adult. These kids come into the educational system soooo far behind. Then they spend the rest of their lives trying (and usually failing...sorry, folks) to overcome the odds.

It’s devastating to know that if these children were born into a different family their lot in life may have been entirely different. Nicole’s mother would be a better choice than Nicole, but considering she raised Nicole, poor Mae is disadvantaged right out of the gate.

Considering Azan is repulsed by Nicole, I doubt she will end up pregnant with his child...so at least there’s that.

  16. Nicole was lying through her teeth when she claimed to have been out with a random guy friend. There is  no guy friend...girl was sittin' at home eating french fries with no vegetables. Check out her eye movements and body language...dumwit made it up to dredge a jealous response from dead fish Azan. What a stupid. And how does Azan "find out" that she took her ring off when she went out with her good friend George Glass?...oh, that's right. She would have to have told him. Pathetic.

  17. I wish they would have done more to help Todd get onto the boat. The fact that he was trying so hard implies he would have followed through with the parasailing and it could have been a great experience for him. I've been skydiving and it was so empowering; I really wanted to see him conquer that fear. Oh well.

  18. Ok, COME ON. I lost track of this show for quite awhile but was happy to run across it tonight. Holy crap, what happened to Mackenzie? Her face is ruined! Pumped full of botox and her lips are so blown up they don't move when she talks! And the hair...that Marge Simpson beehive. Girrrrl, you ridic.

  19. So glad to see some posts about the Couples Retreat. I hate watch L.A., but in true "cheese stands alone" fashion, I have actually enjoyed the first two episodes of this mess. Possibly because there are cast members I'm not familiar with.

Briana has such a bizarre affect. It's as if she practices her TH lines and hand gestures in front of a mirror.

The Tanya chair flip was lame. They should have reshot it. Poor setup and execution. C'mon crappy reality show, I demand better.

  20. Did anyone see Lamar Odom's inferview today? Super awkward!

He claims to be clean and sober. Nope. No way. And dude lies like a rug. Example: he says he hadn't done any drugs the night  of his overdose. Wendy asked him why he tested positive for cocaine and he continued to deny.

Wendy seemed overly emotional when he was leaving. Guessing it's because she seems to genuinely like him but knows he's using. Bad times.

  21. I watched this show for the first time in a long while and it was terrible. There were long pauses during Hot Topic that seemed like Wendy Completely lost track of what she was talking about. She came off as  completely unprepared...girl was just winging it and that's bullshit.

There are plenty of gossipy women who I would rather watch. Ones who wouldn't be taking the gift of their own television show for granted. Phoning it in = cancelled.
