  1. I find it so funny that the fans who for almost a year said Michael being dead is better than Michael coming back to ruin Jane/Michael's memories are now upset Jane feels the same. Michael being alive will always be better than a dead Michael no matter what the outcome is. Jane and Rafael of course wouldn't want their life disturbed, Jane and Michael didn't want theirs to be bothered by Rafael either when they had just gotten back together. There is a difference in feeling something and doing something. Jane and Rafael are trying to help Michael/Jason. They are giving him a place to stay. They are trying to jog his memory, heck Jane even has a schedule for him. What Michael went through during his torture session probably doesn't haunt Jane so much at the moment because he looks fine at the moment. Also it is important that to Jane he is not her Michael. If it was Michael it would be a whole different issue. I really enjoyed this episode. I think this season the writers have become really bold. It's okay if we all dislike this Jane. This Jane is on a journey to figuring out who she is and what she truly feels vs what she should be feeling. Every episode we are going to see a different side of her. I love that.
  2. It was a good episode but I feel like my expectations were higher. Some of the moments were brilliant
  3. But Dennis is an actual person. He was Michael's friend and also a cop. We have seen both of them together before. So unless Dennis died and Michael took his face, no. About the episode, it was amazing. I loved every second of it. God it is such a good show. I will really miss it when it ends.
  4. I agree. To me his parents almost felt like an afterthought. Even there it seemed like they were created for Jane not him. Michael had no story with them.
  5. Jennie Urman confirmed that Jane's heart glowed because her feelings for Rafael were returning.
  6. Jane Rafael stuff was there since Catalina episode. I won't get into it since these come from a not so legal leak.
  7. Rafael and Petra are not going to work out because they are not what the other wants. It's not just a matter of the past. There is a reason all of Rafael’s cozy family moments come from Jane and Mateo. Last episode Rafael said when he thinks of family she is who he sees. Rafael lived his life without any kind of love and warmth. So he craves that desperately. He wants that white picket fence house with his loving family. Petra is a pretty cold character. It's not a flaw, that's just who she is. She is not what Rafael desires. He admires her. He is attracted to her. But she is not the type of person Rafael can be happy with. I am glad they are doing this again so they can realize this once and for all.
  8. I enjoyed this episode very much. I liked that they did a recap of all the terrible things Petra did to Rafael just to remind us once again how bad they truly were. This episode had two of my favorite moments from this season. That drunk Jane/Xiomara scene was gold. It is so different from their last bachelorette party. My second favorite scene was the Jane and Rafael phone conversation.
  9. I think they are still going to go for Jane and Rafael at the end. They have a lot of time left until the finale. 8 one hour episodes of season 3. That is pretty much a whole season for some shows. 22 episodes of season 4 and maybe even a season 5. Jennie Urman has stated numerous times things "click" in the end and she knows how it all ends. It does not seem like she is deviating from her original endgame plan. I don't like shows where the creators are so obsessed with the original planned ending they ignore the characters' journeys. For JTV though, I feel differently. I believe them when they say they have planned every little thing. I enjoyed the Petra Rafael scenes. It's beautiful to see how far they have come. I still can't root for them knowing their history but their scenes showed the kind of respect and affection they have for each other and that was beautiful to watch. Even if their relationship does not work out again, the friendship they have will remain strong I think, or I hope.
  10. I know Rafael himself said that he used to wake up every morning and wonder what would make Jane happy implying he did things to please her but I always felt Rafael had a backbone. Even when he was with Jane he was a man of his own opinion. If he didn't agree with something it was rare he came around to it. It usually took a lot of convincing for him to change his mind and most of the time he didn't, just like Jane. They just learned how to meet in the middle. Speaking of Rogelio, I have a love hate relationship with the man. I like the Rogelio that didn't want to be poor again because he knows what it was like to be poor. I like the Rogelio that bought Jane a car , and the gift meant a lot to him because he once couldn't afford such thing. I LOVE the Rogelio that had a talk with Xiomara about how she encourages Jane to keep Rafael out of Mateo's life. I love the Rogelio that had a talk with Luisa. But other than that, I AM SO SICK OF ROGELIO. He acts like a buffoon. He is always self-absorbed. It is funny at times but he is like this 90% of the time. Remember when Rogelio first entered Jane's life? It was all about him. Xiomara was so freaking great. Yes she was worried Jane would be mad at her for hiding the truth but she was also trying to protect Jane from the heart ache. For Rogelio it was, "my daughter is getting married? Wait she has to work around some of my dates." He is always like that. He does do things for the people he loves, he has also sacrificed few small things for his loved one but the thing is when there is a problem he always thinks about himself first. It takes a long time for him to remember someone else might be hurting too.
  11. Completely agree. They should've stayed mad at each other for a little longer before having that family conversation. To me it just felt like they had another stupid, small fight. Their fights seem repetitive to me and I have no interest in them.
  12. I can't believe you mentioned that. It drives me nuts how the show ignored how Rafael was a victim as well.
  13. I was mad at both Rafael and Jane during the art thing. Rafael had no right to ask Michael to not call it in just yet, not when he reported him in the past for a similar situation. The only good thing was he truly felt miserable about his request. He knew what he was asking of Michael and he absolutely hated it. I understand why Jane was upset. She had every right to be angry that Rafael would ask something like this of her noble husband. I just did not understand the going to church and being good person comment. Attacking a man's character when he is already broken and suffering is terrible. She never apologized, never even looked a tiny bit remorseful. I don't understand how Jane and her family looks down on Rafael and his wealth but they are more than happy to take advantage of it when they need it. From singing gigs to staying at the hotel they are always at the place.
  14. I always thought I was the only one who noticed Jane's double standards. She kept yelling how Rafael lied and got Michael fired. He was definitely, definitely wrong to expose Michael but he did not fabricate a false story about Michael. He reported the man who helped the person who worked for the woman that killed his dad, kidnapped his newborn son and held him hostage. Jane literally said she "forgot" about his dad during the counseling session. It's crazy how she wanted to sue Rafael for custody when Petra covered for Magda/Alba incident and Rafael believed Petra over Jane/Alba. She did not want Mateo anywhere near the hotel. But Rafael was a bad person because he did not want Mateo around a man whose job has already put Mateo at risk, who himself put Mateo at risk. I just thought it was such a terrible thing to say to man who has put in more effort to be a better person than her, and her whole family combined.
  15. I am glad I was not the only one bothered by that. Jane is extremely judgmental, and disrespectful when it comes to others. She did say she was paraphrasing, I don't know if she was paraphrasing something Rafael said in the past but it was still a terrible thing to say. You don't say that to your "best friend" who already hates himself and works so hard to become a better person unlike most people in the show. I kind of feel they will come back to this someday, or I hope they come back to this someday. Jane has said too many things like maybe if you went to church you would know right from wrong. Jane pretty much always assumes the worst of Rafael. Remember when she assumed he was doing something terrible and she checked up on him only to find out he secretly donates to abused women shelter. Then both her and Michael thought Rafael was sleeping with married women and that was false too. It turned out not only were they wrong about that but the whole reason Rafael was even doing that was so Rogelio could get the part. I don't think you have a cold heart for not caring about Michael being gone. I was really sad when he died. He was so sweet and adorable toward the end. My heart broke for Jane and for the life they could have had together. However, now that he is gone I don't miss him at all. I still feel sad and teary eyed when Jane cries over him, like that voicemail thing, oh that one hurt. I am sad that Jane lost the love of her life, but as a character I don't miss Michael even a bit. I was done with all the Sin Rostro drama by the end of season 1. That mainly left Michael with just Jane related stories. We get plenty of Jane stories without Michael so it doesn't feel like I am missing much. I love the kids so much, especially Mateo. I think they did such a fantastic job with finding the right actor. I love seeing Jane parent and Rogelio be a grandfather. Now that Mateo is older he can actually interact with other characters. I can't wait for more of this.
