  1. In my opinion it definitely isn't a cooper.

In my experience, when a tv show centers around a mystery that's supposed to last the entire season, they always try to make you think it's all these other people who killed the person first before revealing who it actually was, and the person who it actually was usually is a surprise. Think Ian or Toby from Pretty Little Liars. We aren't even halfway into the season yet so for them to be Laying all this groundwork this early for Hal or Alice Cooper if they're going to be revealed as the killers all the way at the end of the season seems off. Especially since Alice was always the obvious person because of her comments literally in the first minute of the show. Yeah usually in my opinion the show just tries to distract you with all these false alarms so they can get to the end of the season while giving tons of information but the pertinent stuff not to the end. But I think all the information surrounding Jason is just going to get more and more complicated, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I think Polly killed Jason and that's why her parents have her locked up, so nobody will find out. I think they're right and she went crazy and found out Jason was going to run off without her. The drugs in the car are probably just a red herring, or maybe Betty's parents planted them to frame Jason and get him arrested.

If Val knew all along that Josie's father was an asshole why did she act so surprised by her diva act? It's like a light bulb went off when she found out Josie's dad was in town but if this is why Josie acts that way and Val knows it then her behavior shouldn't have taken her by surprise.

If Polly's story is accurate, Polly would have had to have broken out of the place to kill Jason because she was supposed to meet him July 4 when he ran away but she got committed that very night...and Jason died over a week later

  3. Ok. Reggie. Shirtless. HOT! Not as ripped as Archie or Chuck, but I love reggie's cockiness. Although Reggie doesn't seem very smart outside of telling Archie to sit it out.

This episode. LOVED it. Archie was a bit too disjointed and kept separate from most everything (he never seems to care about any drama that doesn't concern him, which might be a good thing).

Cheryl. The Blossoms. LOOOOOVEEEDD it. Wow. Yay well done!

ronnie...she is sweet, but I feel Betty keeps getting the interesting stuff and ronnie is just getting the basic stuff. I wanna see Ronnie discover something !

Lili Reinhart (the actress playing Betty) is really owning this show so far IMO. Everything Betty and everything B+V seems to be on a different level.

The greater focus on Archie this week was a challenge therefore, and I'm not sure that KJ Apa was quite up to it. I know comic book Archie is a dullard but I'd still like to see more energy from the actor. He was decent in the pilot though so I'm still hopeful.

Jughead being homeless and fathered by Skeet was an unexpected twist. I haven't really been feeling him up until now, hopefully this opens up the character a bit. He comes across as a lot more neurotic than I recall from the comics. Which is fine of course, but I keep expecting him to be this ultra laid back character and it throws me for a loop.

Yeah the grundy scene seemed a bit over his acting ability during the major confrontation but that being said actors are often awkward in their role until they've been playing them a bit longer.

When I read that this episode was about Jughead trying to keep the drive in from being closed, I really thought that sounded dull.  But this was the best episode of the season, I thought.  One dramatic turn after another.  Betty was kind of dumb taking the gun and writing that secret stuff in her diary though.

I'm enjoying this show tremendously, I hope it gets renewed for another season.  Only four more episodes to go.

What do you mean only four more to go? There are nine left

I quite enjoyed this episode, whereas the first three had me rolling my eyes at some of the dialogue. It just seemed too try-hard, and as others have pointed out, really tonally inconsistent. This was better. I still think it's a bit weird how they're pushing a 50s vibe, but hey, I can try to overlook it.

I agree with this. I thought it was quite well done overall, they made it fairly clear that the Grundy/Archie relationship was wrong even if Archie didn't believe it to be. I also agree that his dad probably thought it was better for him that she just leave town and not put his son through a big scandal. It was fairly obvious from the moment that Betty found the real ID that she would have some fleeing an abusive ex story, and I think there's room to say either she's lying or telling the truth about that. Nevertheless, it was clear at the end that she was eyeing up the other teenage boys (nice Lolita sunglasses!). Wonder if we'll see her again...

Betty was a bit stupid though, taking the gun - why on earth would she do that? And she must know her mother's a nosy bitch by now, seeing as how she specifically called out her diary, so why is she still writing in it?

Liked the Jughead and his dad interaction, although I really wish we could call him something else. Jughead? Juggy? Ugh. Still, his dad is hot. Hello Skeet Ulrich!

Jughead and his father are both named Forsythe according to the comics, and jellybean is Forsythia.

  7. I know there are so many characters with their own stories. But I would like to see more of him!

Not only is Reggie INSANELY hot, but Archie NEEDS an antagonist. And Mrs. Cooper doesn't count. And Reggie and Archie have had what...two scenes together?

Archie needs an antagonist who is constantly plotting against him. Competing with him. Trying to sabotage him. But so far he just wanders around between love triangles, punching Reggie once to defend Jughead.

I don't consider Cheryl or Alice an adequate antagonist for Archie.

    And Reggie = HOOOOTTTT
