It was super obvious to me that the colonel was the bad guy as soon as he appeared onscreen.  However, I thought he was the one killing the marines.  I didn't figure that Osborne was actually killing them, but only because colonel told them to kill Osborne first.

    I

At the end, when the Colonel showed up in his dress uniform and then was indignant when Jane accused him, I got a flashback to Col. Jessup from A Few Good Men.  I guess all Marine colonels are the same 😂

Kinda appropriate, as A Few Good Men inspired JAG which inspired NCIS 🙂

It's been renewed? Wow, did not expect that!

This might belong in the "SWAT in the media" thread, but bear with me.  I wonder if it keeps getting renewed because CBS doesn't have anything better to replace it with i. e. a dearth of pilots)

No, he traced "007" (I forget why they called him that) on Meredith's hand and she figured out it was him, then Callie remembered a birthmark he had and checked for it to confirm.

    https://greysanatomy.fandom.com/wiki/George_O'Malley#Death

IIRC (and I may not), the "007" was from his early intern days when he lost one or more patients, and someone (probably Alex) gave him the 007 moniker (i.e., James Bond "license to kill") 😂 Kinda sick humor, but I think that's where that came from

  4. I'm pretty much undecided how it will turn out.  Based on the preview (which of course are often misleading, intentionally or otherwise:

    Spoiler

In one scene, someone is saying "(Luka) is clinging to life", which makes sense because his wounds did not appear like they would be instantly fatal, of course it's all about which internal organs were struck and the severity.  Then the last preview scene, looks like the squad is dressed in dress blues, which isn't a good sign, but maybe could be for the services of some other officer.  We shall see

  5. The premiere for the 7th and final season of Station 19 is tonight, March 14, 2024 at 10:00 PM EDT (looks like ABC has returned the original schedule of having Station 19 following Grey's Anatomy)

Per TV Guide.com, the episode title is "This woman's work".

Isn’t this the second time they’ve opened a season with a two part episode with Hondo in Mexico separated from his team?  He’s LA SWAT not a Marshal.

True, but the first time (IIRC), Hondo was in Mexico on personal time, unrelated to a case.

Well I'm glad to see none of Reacher's team were double agents...LOL.   I do agree with everyone that said A.M.'s death was anti-climatic and also hilarious.

Well, I for one enjoyed seeing that a-hole get "ventilated" 😂

    AI couple of observation:

When Aleida drove into the Motel's parking lot, the sign said "Free WiFi". Also, Aleida's car and the other cars in the parking lot looked a little different and a little smaller than those in our own timeline.

    Either

    a) WiFi was widely available earlier in the FAM timeline, or

    b) That sign was there for the motel where they filmed and they forgot to cover it up 😂

Poor Aleida. There's never a good time to have a panic attack.

Bet Miles' wife will end up pregnant from that bon voyage sex. (I just found out the actor playing Miles is English. He does a decent generic American southern accent. A lot of Brits overexaggerate the drawl, IMO.)

There was a throwaway line about Howard Stern. He's still on the air in this timeline? That's hilarious.

So does Ed have Parkinson's? It's funny to me how they've tried to make him looked bedraggled. Sorry, producers of For All Mankind; Joel Kinnaman's foine remains undefeated.

Spumors say it'll happen in Russia instead of the US, and the Saudis won't be behind it. We'll see, I guess.

Wonder in the FAM timeline if Howard is on SiriusXM or still syndicated on “terrestrial” radio (I assume that SiriusXM itself is still a thing, or maybe I shouldn’t?)

It seems that some sort of Watergate still happened. In the 70s to 80s time jump montage, we hear a phone call from Reagan (as president post 1976) pardoning Nixon. Ted Kennedy wouldn't have done it while he was president, and of course without a second Nixon term, there's no VP Agnew resignation nor Ford as either VP or president to pardon Nixon.

    I

IIRC, It was actually Ted Kennedy who pardoned (or offered to pardon) Nixon, so something did happen. And ol' Dick responded with some "expletives deleted" and made a crack about Mary Jo 😂

Also IRL his image was smeared by Chappaquiddick. It was noted in an earlier episode that he’d called off a trip there - and thus he ended up being elected. I think the idea is that even in an alternate history, the personalities are still the same, even if events don’t happen at quite the same time or in the same way.

And yet, Teddy was still busted with Mary Jo (I can't spell her last name) down in Palm Beach.  Oh well, at least in this history she is still alive.

The 2 bent cops are really annoying me.  And why the hell isn't Harry having his vehicle swept for bugs? Isn't that standard for any investigator?

This.  I seem to recall in a previous season Harry checking either his home or office for bugs (and a home is harder to bug undetected than a car that is sitting unattended (and probably out of sight) for long periods of time.  IIRC, the guy who did the car was done in under a minute.)

I suspect on such an episode, there would be some familiar faces appearing.  Gibbs for sure, given their history, maybe DiNozzo (and Ziva?)

Forgot to mention, Abby, maybe Eleanor

Oh no! To be honest, I give up watching the show like 10 years ago, but if they decide to have a good funeral for Ducky, I would tune back in for that one.

I looked it up. South Bay is made up of the cities near the ocean in Los Angeles County.  SD is San Diego. It’s a few hours away?

I lived in Gardena, a city in the north part of the South Bay when I lived in Southern California.  It was about a 2-hour drive to San Diego (on the 405 and 5 Freeways).  This was on a weekend (drove down for a few Padres games).  Weekday commute would probably be longer, especially in parts of Orange County (south of Los Angeles County)

That’s one of the first thoughts that came to my mind when I saw it.

I need to rewatch and figure out where in the Hollywood Hills (or maybe even Santa Monica Mountains) that house is.  Maybe I can figure out based on the relative positions of the skyscrapers (US Bank building, Aon Tower, the twin buildings that used to say Bank of America, etc)

With Agent Whistler just taking off with a suspended agent from another agency I am guessing she transfers again to NCIS after the writer's strike. For a two part cliffhanger they really should check what is used for the end of episode promos.

      Reveal spoiler

Torture porn check but then we know she gets out with her badge to continue the story.

Could be interesting if that happens.  Who do they pair Whistler with? (Lucy is out of the question since they are in a relationship).  I would say she would be put with Boone, since he is the senior non-supervisory agent, then Lucy and Kai would partner up.

Don’t care if Simone and Lucas ever get together, but I hope she doesn’t marry Trey because he’s such a jerk. Don’t even get me started on the name “Trey”.

Not that the writers probably put any thought into it, but I wonder if Trey is merely a nickname.

A real-life example from my own life:  50 (!) years ago, my mother was in graduate school at a major university in the Midwest.  One of her classmates, who she remains friends with to this day, had two children.  The oldest was a boy who was a few years younger than me (I was 14).  His name was Melville _______ III (i.e., his father and grandfather apparently were also named Melville).  But I guess to avoid confusion when all three generations were together, his nickname was Trey.  Fun fact, this Trey now is also a doctor (but an anesthesiologist rather than a surgeon).  His father was/is also a doctor, but I don't know what speciality (I never met him as his parents were divorced at that time).

So maybe GA Trey is in a similar situation.  That would be a weird given name, but you never know...

I think Ruiz is acting more out of fear than anything else - having lost his best friend in a fire in a situation which may or may not have been his fault when he was captain before (if I'm remembering correctly - I know it was Travis's husband, I THINK he was the captain at that station) - he is terrified of doing something wrong and instead of working through his fears he has become insufferable.

Yes, he was the Captain for that incident.  I don't recall if he was demoted to Lt. in the aftermath, or voluntarily returned to that rank.

It's not just that Andy deserves it, but also that Ruiz doesn't really seem to be handling it well. He's done okay on rescues but he's being a complete dick to Vic, and not just in their personal relationship. She was noticing the red flags with Beckett, that he may be a suicide risk, and Ruiz doesn't care. He's smug. He also took credit for what he and Vic did on that call that Ross, and hasn't seemed at all interested in sharing the credit. I don't think Vic wants the captain job-- she runs Crisis One, so she's already got a program leadership role. But Ruiz is really showing he's not ready for the Captain job.

I hope Maya has learned her lesson and won't flip out if she's not immediately promoted 10 seconds after coming back from her breakdown.

I think would have to be promoted to Lt. first before becoming a Captain (I could be wrong)  Not sure how it works, but there are already 4 Lts at 19 (Andy, Maya, Sullivan and Ruiz), I don't know if they need a 5th (although if Sullivan leaves, there would be an opening)

These dumbass interns don’t know how to reject a call instead of silencing the phone or throwing it in the trash?

Really.  Each time you saw the iPhone screen with the red (reject) and green (answer) buttons.  All they had to do is push the red button and done (I think it sends the call to voice mail when you do that, so it'spossible that the anti-abortion assholes might leave vile messages, then again they probably might not have the balls to do so).  Actually, with my iPhone (13), occasionally I get the red/green buttons on a call, but usually it's the swipe to answer thingie.  The latter is annoying when it is a spam call, because you don't want to answer those, even if if you immediately hang up, because then the spammer lowlifes know it is an active number.  Better to let it go, the lowlifes don't want to leave a voice mail because that doesn't help them, so they know enough to hang up before the voice mail kicks in, and more than likely, they move on to the next number on their list.  Of course, I promptly block them 👹
