I just started reading Prairie Fires. I don't like adult Rose, but I feel kind of bad for child Rose. She describes a very lonely, isolated childhood, where her parents are too wrapped up in everything else that's happening to give her much attention or love. I can believe that happened, even if Laura and Almanzo never intended it to be that way. Too many awful things happened to the family in such a short amount of time, it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if little Rose was emotionally neglected as a result.

I don't think she has the capacity to put anyone but herself first...
Herself, and David.
Keeping David around will always be more important than her kids, because she really believes David's scary, abusive possessiveness means he loves her. That's way more powerful to Jenelle than the love she gets from her kids.

I guess that means they get to meet and hear about the CG? I’m not near any coasts so I’ve never heard of this.
Pretty much. I live on the west coast, and I've heard of things like this. Never been to one.

By saying that they came up with the idea three years ago, which, as I said, is after Season 5 at the earliest. The scripts for Season 3 were written in 2012.
Thanks. I was confused as to when they came up with the idea, exactly.

Turning Mel's statement to Arya about killing eyes of different colours into a prophecy that she would kill the Night King is an admitted retcon.
D&D admitted it was a retcon?
Anyway, yeah, it bugs me that some people refer to that as a prophecy. It wasn't. Mel doesn't even end on blue eyes, it's brown, blue, green. If that was a prophecy for anything, you would think it would be Arya killing Cersei, since Cersei has green eyes. But, whatever. It's ALL "whatever", at this point, lol.

The Night King's fascination with Jon at Hardhome should have been explained. It's clear it wasn't forgotten by the writers because we once again got a scene with the NK pausing to take in Jon's presence in particular, before once again stretching out his arms to raise more dead soldiers. We also don't know what it was that made him pursue Bran.
This right here is why I refuse to believe that D&D had the idea for Arya to kill the Night King way back in season three. It just didn't add up with what we'd seen.
ETA: This guy has some good ideas, for season eight. If you have time, check 'em out.

Just asking, because I'm curious what other people think: when this relationship crashes and burns, will it be David leaving Jenelle, or Jenelle leaving David?
I ask "when" and not "if", because I don't think Jenelle has it in her to stay with one person, for the rest of her life. Not enough drama, in that.

I don't watch the show, so I have to ask if Jenelle was the one who pushed for David to regain custody of Maryssa. It sounds like something she would do, to stick it to Maryssa's mother, and build this fantasy swamp life, she had in her mind. Clearly, David never gave a shit about being Maryssa's father, and he likely wouldn't have done it if Jenelle hadn't pushed for it.
It's nice to hear that David is "done" with his eleven year old daughter, by the way. She's a child, and she is terrified of him, and THIS is how he reacts. I hope Maryssa has another male figure in her life who can step up and be there, for her. She is much better off with David out of her life, but I hope she can find some peace of mind, after this ordeal.
Just as predicted, Jenelle's feelings for Jace dropped once the cameras were no longer around to make custody a storyline for the show. Raise your hand, everyone who is surprised. I'm sure Nathan will try to keep Kaiser away from The Land, so we'll see what happens, there. Ensley is the only kid they share, so she might be the only one they get back, but I know nothing of CPS and family court, so don't listen to me. I'm just glad they aren't getting their way, this time, and that the two older kids at least are free. Maybe now, they'll have a shot at having somewhat normal lives.

Yeah, Jenelle and David are sticking together for the loooove. I know I call the people I love pieces of shit, and tell them I don't care if they die. Bitch has NO IDEA what a healthy relationship looks like.

ETA: went down the rabbit hole of Barb's instagram. Lots of angry commenters telling her to "give Jace back to his mother".
What the FUCK is wrong with these people? Even if Jenelle was a semi decent parent, Jace is fucking TEN YEARS OLD. It is too late to "give him back".
People tell Catelynn and Tyler from the original Teen Mom that Carly's adoptive parents should "give her back". Nothing surprises me, anymore.

Quote“CPS described the state of the home as horrific. It was filthy, and there were holes in all of the walls,” the source told Radar.
Well, now we know why they made that trip to Lowe's.
Quote“Jenelle believed that her lawyer was going to be able to get her children back and she seemed stunned when this happened,” the source told Radar.
You mean that lawyer that had "evidence" the judge was biased in favor of CPS and couldn't find the "evidence" when he was asked to produce it? Jenelle had confidence in THAT guy? I can see why, he's probably just as delusional as she is.
QuoteAnd yet another source told us Kaiser was "extremely fearful" of going back to the family house and claimed he was mistreated by David. His concerns were brought up in court and we're told affect the judge's decision.
Poor Kaiser. Imagine having to tell a bunch of adults you don't know about the abuse you have suffered at the hands of the Swamp Monsters, at his age. What a brave little guy. My heart goes out to him, and to all the kids.
QuoteAs for Jenelle, one source says she was "stunned" by the ruling and believed she would walk out of court Tuesday with her kids. Instead, she walked out with David.
Hey, she made her choice. Jenelle will always choose whatever penis is in her life, over her kids. The lure of Dick and Drama is too powerful for a scumbag like Jenelle to resist.
Also, I'm getting a kick out of Jenelle being "stunned". She's always such a smug little asshole, I love the idea of her being knocked down a peg, or ten.
QuoteI question whether Jenelle really got her tubes tied, but, if she didn't, I would 100% assume that UBT is trying to knock her up. If she really did get her tubes tied, I would think that he's planning how to dump her while keeping as much of their property/money as possible and scheming to hook up with some dumb, fertile new soulmate who could spawn him some new kids to be in control of.
Yup. If they lose the kids permanently, Squatch will drop Jenelle like a hot potato. He never loved her, but he loved the money she brought in, and he loved having people much smaller and weaker in the house to dominate and abuse. Both of those things are gone, now, so what is Jenelle good for? If she can't pop out more kids and if she can't pay for all his toys, she's just a miserable thundercunt who yells, all the time. He'll find some young, dumb thing who will pay his way, and make MORE kids for him to abuse. The cycle will continue.
I think one of my favorite things in all this is that they declined to visit the kids, knowing it was a three-day weekend. Who the hell DECLINES visitation, in this situation? The assholes clearly thought this was all a game, and that they would walk out with their kids after getting loaded on The Land, over Memorial Day weekend. They probably even thought they deserved a break, after all the stress people were giving them over Nugget. What a couple of shit-stains. I can't, with this...if they are able to turn it around and meet the requirements, great, but I'm not holding my breath. They're both selfish and mentally ill. I don't see it working.

I just finished Rosemary: The Hidden Kennedy Daughter by Kate Clifford Larson, and I thought it was heartbreaking. I never knew about Rosemary Kennedy. What Joe Kennedy did to her was unconscionable.

Question: was it ever confirmed that Jenelle sold nude pics, at one time?
I'm asking because I heard something about this, and there is a lot of speculation on how she'll be making her money now that MTV has fired her, so...

I went back and read this thread, from the very beginning (phew!). Anyway, one thing that really popped out to me about Jenelle is how she can't write a social media post about her children and, you know, make it about her children. It's always about how they make HER feel, how she's so glad they want to spend time with HER, how she's happy HER kids make she and the Squatch a "real" family. Nothing about who her children are as individuals, what they like to do, or what her hopes and dreams for them are. It's disturbing, like so many things about Jenelle. She really is a sociopath, mimicking normal human behavior. This is just one way it really jumped out at me, on re-read.

I was sick to death of her dead eyed monotone kinda duck lipped presentation. When Sandor reached her as she let her face relax to the 'pre faceless god' look I really hoped that would be the end of it. But no, back o the same affect as she talked shit at the council meeting. guh
Yup. Actually, this monotone, dead-eyed affect started at the very beginning of season seven, and I hated it. I realize Arya was trained by Jaqen H'ghar and learned to put on a good poker face, for lack of a better expression, but man, did it get old. I especially hated the scene where she doesn't show any fear or apprehension over fighting the Army of the Dead and nonchalantly throws a dagger at a target like it's no big thing while talking to Gendry. Give me a damn break. I could never get emotionally invested in Arya after a certain point, because she didn't act like any person I know. There was too much of a disconnect, there.

I also adore Meghan Trainor. I guess I just gravitate to a lot of otherwise polarizing/reviled pop stars. 😛
I like Meghan Trainor's voice, but I don't like her songs. The only one I can tolerate is Lips Are Movin'.
Another UO: hair metal really should have been a female dominated genre. There weren't very many women performing that kind of music back then, but listening to the likes of Lita Ford and Vixen, there should have been more.

Sansa is Cinderella, throwing herself on the floor and refusing to accept her new stepmother... then acting superior when the Stepmother turns Evil some time later.
What? Cinderella was abused and enslaved, by her stepmother. I don't get this analogy.

Jenelle: Birther Of 3, Mother To None

I doubt the investigation will result in all the kids being taken away from these assholes, but one can hope.
Countdown to Jenelle and David saying Barb "stole" custody in 5,4,3,2...
