That would just come off as forced considering it's been ten years since then and the show is picking up in the midst of several developments. To further confirm S7's obvious inclusion, Lane still (unfortunately ) has her kids and Christopher refers to Gigi as a "full on Parisian"

There was some great stuff in Summer that is entirely tuned out by the never ending musical. Why they didn't split that up in segments throughout the episode or just release it as an online extra is just...so Palladino.
