Towards the end. What was with the TV picture scrabbling as Peter was talking to Simone? Are we inside someone's IDEA?

I was thinking about if the Team Blue was in a IDEA augmented reality.  It would explain a lot about the inconsistencies we see from reality.

Octavio is an avatar for authority.  That is why we see him as both the actor and the chairman.

Clara is a construct of Lee's.  Someone to help her actualize her initial vision.  Clara was no longer needed when she completed the first phase of the IDEA project so she was phased out.   That's why Fredwynn couldn't find any death certificate of Clara Torres in the region, the United States, or the world (there were multiple maps of widening scale shown during his search for confirmation of Clara's death).

It would explain Peter's absurd attempt to reenact a death defying Houdini trick after only a few weeks of schooling.  It would also explain the clown boy suddenly appearing (i'm assuming he is Peter's younger self).

I also noticed that when Fredwynn was eating the candy from the urn, he was eating only the blue-colored pieces.  Perhaps a Matrix reference?

Anyways, just a thought.  Feel free to disagree.

    Right.

I was just listening to the Insiders podcast though, and they talked about how they discovered that a frozen turkey in hot oil would cause an explosion, so that's how they were going to burn the place down.

And since their product is never frozen, and since Gus was doing this, they might have used a turkey, since the larger frozen turkey would be more likely to create the explosion.  Workers might not look in the freezer, since not much stuff is in there anyways, so it would be a good place to hide a frozen chicken or turkey.

I was thinking that Gus could have just done something different, and used a turkey, to help ensure the explosion.  Assuming Gus would have come up with the same frozen poultry in oil idea, that the writers did.

I would assume that any frozen bird would be able to cause a oil flare up and trigger the explosion.  It is quite possible that Gus could have a bought a frozen turkey on the guise of expanding the menu.  We know that Gus has added to the menu previously.  It doesn't appear that there is a separate test kitchen to research and develop new products.  I don't remember if the frozen bird was a chicken or a turkey.

When Janice asked if Peter had to go alone and Fredwynne said no.

This is what I think you missed...

Fredwynn states “Life is so weird.  Let’s go” and heads in Peter’s direction.  Janice asks “Wait, wait, wait.  You mean we can go with him?  We can help him?".  Fredwynn then responds “Of course.  Don’t you see anything is possible.  We are Team Blue… and our story is our own."  Picture scrambles as the camera pans away and upward from the group, towards Peter’s direction.  Camera passes by a white wall with some faded gray streaks in it (maybe the remnants of Clara’s waterfall mural?).  Picture scrambles and the scene is now shot in black & white.  The camera continues downward and catches up to Peter and the clown boy as they cross the street.  The camera maneuvers so that we see a side view of the pair.  Camera moves closer to the two with the focus on the side of the boy’s head.  The camera then moves closer to the boy's head with the focus towards the boy's left eye.

Scene changes to a darkish room shot in black & white.  You see the top of a dark, brimmed hat being held by two hands on either side of the hat.  The hands move the hat slowly upwards as if someone is putting on the hat.  As the hands move upwards, it starts to reveal that the person holding the hat is the clown boy (?).  Scene ends.

Were there any other players in this game?  I know that everyone was separated into teams at the beginning, but my impression was that they were all actors and our heroes are the only four out of the loop until recently.  Seems like a huge expense for just those four, and what's the end game?

Everyone who initially gathered and separated into teams were players in the game.  Most followed the two planned tracks (Jejune, Elsewhere) and the game ended with the Cave of Kalpius party.   Our intrepid foursome, however, deviated from the tracks and delved into the story behind the game.

I’m confused about something: what company did Clara have to sell to B&E(?)?

I'm guessing Clara made the Elsewhere Society concept into some sort of business and then sold it to B&E/Jejune Institute/Lee.

My DVR cut out in the last scene, after Fredwynn has taken the urn off the shelf in the crypt, and it looks like he is scooping something out of it. Did I miss anything?

Fredwynn opens the lid of the urn, reaches in with his hand, and scoops out some of the content within.  He places the contents of his hand to his mouth and starts eating it.  As he chews, the narrator continues with Fredwynn’s assessment.  “…and yet, and yet, he can’t seem to help himself… because he’s always so sure that there is more.  That he and he alone has figured out the truth”.  Fredwynn grabs the urn and looks inside of it.  Camera moves in for a closer look.  The narrator then says “Of course, in this case… he’s right”.  Camera reveals the urn is filled with candy (Skittles or m&ms).  [Scene ends]

  7. Let me first say that I am quite satisfied with this season.  I'd be content if there was no second season.  If, however, there were to be one, I'd like them to explore a couple things.

    - A season focused on Laurie Blake, specifically on how she went from super hero to FBI vigilante hunter.

    - A season focused on Angela Abar, covering her early (and I'm hoping slow) transition to a Dr. Manhattan being.

    - A season focused on Bian, covering the hardship of losing Lady Trieu and perhaps leading to a supervillain origin story.

I wonder if the 7th Kav suspected that Angela had a relationship with Dr.Manhattan and that’s why she was spared and Judd cultivated her friendship.

We would have to see what happened to the second gunman at Angela's house during the White Night attack.  She survived despite appearing complete defenseless to the second gunman.

Trieu comes across as another megalomaniac in the vein of her predecessor Veidt, with a very twisted moral compass.  While we know her plan is to save humanity, we still don't know how, and I get the sense it may be something horrific.

And Will was so driven by his rage, he lost his family.  And he's even adopted the mind-control tech of his foes.  Walking a dubious moral line there too.

Two speculative thoughts from this episode.

    1.  Lady Trieu is somehow related to Veidt -- most likely his daughter.  She exhibits the same traits.  A megalomaniac determined to "save humanity".  She is very coy about providing the details of her said plan so it probably requires a massive sacrifice to achieve her goals.

She wants her parents to be at the completion of her life's work.  She already cloned her mother and is the process of reintegrating her mother's memories into the clone.  She also said that her father will be there with the utmost surety.  If her father was a mere human, he would already be present in her compound.  There must be extenuating circumstances for him not being there.  Veidt's situation would fit that description.

    2.  Although it appears that Veidt is a prisoner on a moon of Jupiter, I'm guessing that his imprisonment is a construct of his mind.  It would explain the oddities of the world that imprisons him.  Physically, I think he is trapped in that statue of him in Lady Trieu's garden in Oklahoma.

I hope that we get an answer to how Angela ends up with Lady Trieu, and it is not just glossed over like everything concerning Cal is. I think something not right is up with Cal.

I don't think there is much on why Angela ends up at Lady Trieu's facility.  Lady Trieu is the foremost authority on the Nostalgia drug.  She developed and manufactured it.  Angela is a unique case because she had overdosed on someone else's Nostalgia medication.  Lady Trieu is the person best equipped to handle the complications regarding Angela's overdose.  She is also in close proximity.  It may have been part of a plan to treat her overdose, but there is a logic to Angela winding up there.

Even if that's a complete lie and she's just messing with Grey, she's still given him reason to research her past (knowing he has a close PI friend who's good at digging up dirt). If it's true, I noted that she doesn't say what happened to the crazy ex, which means there's always a chance he could show up and mess things up for Dex and crew.

I think it is definitely in the showrunner's plan for the ex-boyfriend to appear.  Either to finish the Liz story line with her dying/leaving or to forge a friendship between Liz and Dex.

So Veidt may be on one of the moons of Jupiter -- unless that is also a construct by Dr. Manhattan.  And how would Veidt even know about that satellite ?  Not sure why he had to break off the arms of the clones since he piled them into large stacks to form the letters.

I would think mankind would explore the moons and planets in the solar system regardless of Dr. Manhattan's existence.  The spacecraft was probably launched prior to the events of the movie.  Knowledge of missions that were developed by their NASA equivalent would be accessible to the public.

So LG literally wears a tin foil hat.

His mask and alter ego is based on the sexual humiliation he endured in the fun house of mirrors before the 11/2 event -- why was he immune in the fun house?

Perhaps the reflective nature of the mirrors in the funhouse provided Wade some protection from the psychic blast.  My guess is based on the obvious properties Wade's mask and inner lining of his hat was made of.

Emilia Clarke has to be the most charming little creature alive. That big crinkly smile and full-body laugh got me every time. She should do more romantic comedies, or just comedies, because she was excellent and I think everyone in our theater fell in love with her.

You should check out the 2016 film, "Me Before You".  She really displays her charm throughout the movie.

I didn't think the guy brought into the station was the same one.  The shooter had very blue eyes,  you see it when he has the flashlight in his face.  Maybe I'm just mixing all the white guys up,  lol

My apologies for not being clearer.  The cop shooter was the one who was killed at the cattle ranch.  The interrogated one was a different 7th kalvary guy targeted by Sister Night because she suspected he knew the cop shooter's location.

Did anyone else think the guy who took the cyanide pill was the same one who shot the cop in the beginning?  I thought it looked like him, but wasn't sure.

It was the same guy who shot the cop.  The 7th kalvary guy who Sister Night (Regina King) had put into her trunk gave up his location.  The police chief (Don Johnson) later confirmed it was the shooter during his phone call with the governor.

What is Abishola apologizing for when she stopped the doctor from prescribing a medication that is counter-indicated with another med the patient is already taking???

I am trying very hard to like this show, especially since Carol’s Second Act and The Unicorn are such huge disappointments.  😲

She corrected the doctor's prescription in front of a patient.  In doing so, the doctor felt it undermined the patient's confidence with the treatment the doctor was providing.

it might have been said but I don’t think it has that the mixed tape is something her dead fiancé made for her because she could have seriously unscrewed the system on her own.

I thought it was established in this episode that the cassette came with the purchase of the car.  Didn't it start playing a song after Dex bought drove off the lot?

Definitely not enjoying this season much. I found Cara’s pronouncement of not being able to Miles she loved him because it was the last thing she said to her mother before she walked out? Seriously? The entire storyline is contrived and silly, I guess so when she can say it we will feel something...extra? Just making my eyes roll at this point.

Cara's pronouncement was silly.  We already met an ex-boyfriend that she was willing to disrupt her life just to be with him.  Does that mean she was never able to profess her love to him?

I liked her music but I don't know what kind of fashion that was she was wearing.  A lot of people don't like the Halloween type hair colors but I don't mind it.  I kind of liked the green hair.

I've read that she purposely wears baggy clothing to mitigate dealing with idiots that body shame people.
