  1. I've been watching BCS all along as broadcast.  My wife has not, and got a bee in her bonnet a couple of weeks back and started from the beginning hoping to align with the end.  It bites that while we pay for AMC+, Prime and Netflix, when she finally hit S6 she found out she couldn't watch the first half of S6 anywhere without individually renting them and now her continuity is broken.

I switched to Duke's full time when we moved to a region where it was available.  I'm not a lemon fan, and Hellman's to me is both sweeter and has a faintly lemony taste.  Even the Duke's Light is good.

I had no memory of Double Jeopardy at all.

Me neither.  I was initially surprised to see projectiles, but then I remembered in the opening to the Champions series that they were relaxing the rules somewhat for this tournament, and i guess that's part of it.  Wasn't there a bot tossed out some time ago that basically threw a huge sheet of chain mail to encapsulate the opponent?

  3. My wife pointed out that while Gabriel did well enough in his prior season that Gordon actually paid for him to go to culinary school, this season he's been the Invisible Man.  He was onscreen (in the background) last night for about 15 seconds - he may have been in the bottom once but otherwise he's not there.  We're wondering what he did to piss TPTB off.

Alt 0233 only works on some computers/keyboards.

I just Google where someone has used the accents I want and copy/paste the word.  Kobaïa Iss Dëh Hündïn.

We though Demarr might have been there as a backup sous in case somebody got sick.  Didn't they let the chefs bring their own sous from home one year? Or was that another show?

  6. I'm not familiar with the native pepper they featured and all I know now about how it tastes comes from Demarr's description.  Given that, after Buddha and Sarah presented I wondered about the judges getting palate burn halfway in.  I know I tend to numb out after the first half of an extremely spicy dish.

  7. They should have had the victim's video thrown out because Mick Jagger never sang that brown sugar was the best sugar of all.  If they wanted to invoke Rolling Stones lyrics they should have used "Some Girls".

They didn't hit hard enough that she had the gun out to threaten the stockbroker, so the victim saw it when he intervened.  He chased the Black woman rather than the White man because she was the one he'd seen commit a criminal act.

I was too, especially with Kristen Kish. It infuriated me when she came back. However, I've come to accept that it's part of the competition, just like poor front-of-the-house can get you booted in RW. This part of the competition is not going to go away. So I watch it and enjoy seeing even more delicious dishes being prepared.

I was torqued at first when they swiped the idea for LCK from a Food Network show (was it Next Food Network Star?) and didn't watch it for the first couple of years, but do watch it now.  Apparently it's working out for TC as they keep expanding it - this year's was like two separate series, and the double last episode was essentially as long as a Mothership one.

I was wondering if since Nick's fish cake was obviously not a cake if he couldn't have pulled some pivot to make it look more like he knew what he was doing.  "Here's my take on a Fish Crumble over spaghetti!"

The "old boss" McCoy mentioned about lawyers needing to be right losing more cases, which do you think, Adam or Arthur?

Doesn't matter.  ADA Jack would have argued with him whichever one said it.

I thought throwing out the DNA was kind of ticky tack here. The way the judge just dismissed it was a little too arbitrary and blaming the detectives was a poor attempt at making them look sloppy and unprofessional.

What threw me was that I didn't think evidence was like double jeopardy.  The DNA was tossed out because they didn't have a warrant?  OK, we'll go get a warrant and take the sample again, and now it's back in.

I loved the delicious irony of Saddem looking for Ben for two seasons, and ending up standing right next to the urn holding Ben's ashes at the counter of the Easy-O.

Hasn't he seen it several times before at Ruth's, even asking for cookies?

  11. I thought the basis of Javi's deal with Big Pharma was that he could deliver near-perfect pharmaceutical grade heroin in unlimited quantities.  How is Darlene's paltry stash of homegrown going to fulfill it?

  12. I've only seen the first one so far.  I've never wanted to be on TV, but I would kill it in the hot seat on this show.  The questions I saw weren't exactly Jeopardy! level.  Get it right and you are safe.  Get it wrong and sound confident enough to fool the apparently lightly educated panel and you still advance.

Yes, Maroun/Odelya Halevi is gorgeous, as was Connie/Alana de la Garza, who still does look gorgeous on FBI.

I guess we could say the L&O casting department has a “type” for the role of female ADA.

The casting department for all L&O franchises have always had connections in the New York Justice Systems Doll Squad.

  14. Ludo's accent is not an issue for me since my hearing is shot and I always use subtitles anyway.

The structure of the game is what's fun and interesting to me.  I've watched them all and haven't guessed the Rat once.  The red herrings they have thrown in have worked well - including just having a super unpleasant person make trouble not because they are the Rat but just because they're a jerk.

I wonder if Tom knew about Jackson serving as a taster for his team, and having very little sense of taste, before this was filmed?   I'm glad Sarah won, her dishes looked amazing.

He mentioned it in the voiceover at the top of the episode but not in the filmed parts - I don't think the judges had been told yet.

  16. I used to go to a BBQ restaurant which served alligator tail.  I tried it once, it tasted like chicken.  Why did Buddha feel the need to acquire and butcher an entire alligator to extract maybe a pound of meat to use in an appetizer?

    Massive favoritism tonight.

Absolutely.  Get caught on the screws, get counted out.  Be a "fan" (producer) favorite and stick yourself under the riser, stop the fight and reset.  Kenny or Chris said something about "by the rules" and my wife said "What Rules?".

As soon as Faruq said "split decision" after Hydra/Tantrum I said "Watch - Judge Lisa always gets it wrong".  And once again she did.  She had Hydra on points for aggression when it doesn't do anything aggressive.  It sits there and evades waiting for its next chance to flip, which is all it does.

At least the Tantrum team didn't sit there like whiny little bitches saying "Are they counting him out yet?" while WD struggled.  They continued the fight.

Where is everyone watching LCK?  I have Direct tv and Discovery Plus.  Can't find it either place.   Not in the apps in my tv for Bravo shows.

You can see them on Youtube,

There is a thing as ostrich sausage?

A BBQ place near where I used to live had ostrich burgers.  i checked and they seem to be off the menu now, maybe they are seasonal.  Tasted like slightly gamier chicken.

I don't think they were sliced thin enough to cook through in the amount of time they had for the challenge.

It looked like he had plenty of time to cut up the potatoes and boil them on site to replace the ones he left on the stove.  That takes what, 20-30 minutes?
