  1. Shimpy, please read my previous comment. I think sometimes people suppose without proof that the actors/actresses of the show get "scolded" if they say anything wrong about the show. I think they have the right to change their opinions without people thinking they are told for their bosses or agents to do that.
  2. WSmith84, I think in the interview you are talking about (maybe it is another interview), Finn Jones criticizes the attitude of a group of people that complains only for the sake of complaining and he is not talking about all the book readers or even about all the criticism. About Maisie, I think she also criticizes only some people, and she gives her reasons, an example (if I remember correctly) is when she criticizes some bookreaders who like to troll show watchers telling them spoilers of the book. I will not defend all the things an actor/actress says, but I need someone pointing me a particular interview to analyze how much of a 180 degree change they had and if they had a reason to do such change of opinion. (And I really need to start using the quote box thingie in the forums)
  3. GertrudeDR, WSmith84, Terra Nova (I hope I am not forgetting someone), I read your comments related to the ones I wrote and even if I don't agree with some things in your comments, the conversation inspired me (and it will continue to inspire) some reflections, thank you! Shimpy, thank you too for the nice welcome and your advice about the quote thingies, I will try to use them in my next comment!
  4. WSmith84 comment is interesting. It made me to think a few things: -I agree, if you mention something that does not works well internally in the show and you use the books as comparison to show how it is made properly; to me, well, that is fair game. But also, this is only the first part the analysis... -The second part is to ask ourselves: the book version of the event, does it fit the needs of the show? (different mediums, different needs) - I think the Northern Plot is far from being complete in the show, I think if it was movie named The North, it is only reaching its first 1/3, and I think much more will come later.
  5. ImpinAintEasy said a very interesting thing. I see it like an "echo chamber mentality". Fans are reading only one side of the discussion (the book side or the show side) and because of that, I need to ask myself many times this question: How I can be sure I'm doing a proper analysis of the novels or the show if maybe I'm inside of the echo chamber too?
  6. Hello Shimpy, hello everybody! newbie here! like other people before me, I just found this thread and I am sad I didn't it before....oh well, at least I'll be able to comment a few things from the last pages. An interesting thing I noticed, it's the fact than at least in the show, if it does NOT happen in the Trial of Seven, Cleganebowl will make more sense if it is related to Arya, because, at least in the show, it seems she is the most important person in Sandor life, and Gregor is in her list too.
