Why is it always the guys bringing flowers and gifts home? I don't know if this says something about the contestants, the show, or our society. Do people really think, 1) that women are wooed so easily, or, 2) that men don't like gifts? I mean, I probably wouldn't give my husband flowers and chocolates, but he's crazy about licorice and Star Wars

Just curious since I haven't watched all the episodes so far: Has Vanessa done anything nice/special for Tres besides the obvious Pinterest-esque, fairly meaningless gift basket?

Let's all meditate on Three Parting Gifts.

Agreed. I don't even think friendship with Sam would be healthy for Neil. Might help Sam a bit, maybe.
Who needs counseling? Every single one of these people. I don't think anyone of them are in good shape to get married. Way too many hang-ups, baggage and unrealistic expectations.
I've been married 25 years and although it's not always easy, it's the best part of my life. That, and watching our children grow up. I miss my husband every time he leaves the house, and even though I will attend social or family functions without him, I'd really rather not -- it's like going on a sleepover and forgetting your pillow -- you still have a nice time, but DANG, it could be GREAT!
Don't really know why I wrote all that, this show just has me so pissed about how these spouses view and treat each other, and what they expect from each other. Just stop worrying about yourself and what you need and look into the other person's eyes and smile and ask them how their day was. Then, LISTEN.

LOL LOL LOL !!!!!!!!!!Ashley is just gross to me, honestly. Between that moustache and the sourpuss expression and the wildly body-unconscious outfits, I just find myself repulsed. I know that, as a straight woman, I am not her target demographic, but if I were a dude I wouldn't bang that with someone else's D.

LOL, let's pile on global warming, porous borders and the price of diapers. It sounds better to everyone to say she was fired. Everything is her fault now.

I think if any of these three couples stay together the show is a failure. If only one couple stays married, this show is a failure and should be cancelled.

If ctbabe's spoiler is true (and I'm sure it's probably not far off), I would think that Ashley be in breach of contract, punishable by law. Why does this make me feel giddy?
Be in breach? I done embraced myself! :\

Thanks so much! I must admit that I haven't paid much attention to my profile or the rest of the site, but will look around. Really came to the site searching for answers about this crazy show!

Can someone tell me how this website figures out what time something is posted?
I'm in Central and Eastern is an hour ahead;it seems the server or wherever this site originates is somewhere in the mid Atlantic according to the time it says my posts are made.
Just curious :)

So Ashley can evidently Crack a smile and at one time dated a guy who challenged himself by cycling across the country...I don't even know what to make of that. She went all that way to see him and spend time with him and before she left said she wanted to date other people? ?? ?? ?? Does she just enjoy breaking hearts? I'm more confused than ever.

GREAT POST!I am not sure what is more disturbing Sam or Ashley. I think Ashley. Sam is a self centered child incapable to listen and more importantly to analyse herself in order to grow and improve. But at least is capable of establishing some level of friendship with people she deem honorable of being her friends. Ashley, in my opinion, is NOT capable of creating a relationship of any sort. She cannot become friend of David because she does not know how. I assume her friendship are based on shallow things and might not be deep at all, an example was that during her bachelorette party, her friends did not know what she would like or not. Looks like her friends did not know basic information about Ashley in order to throw a bachelorette party. I am a woman that dated any color, shape and culture. I have dated guys that I did not have an instant attraction with and then fall in love with, and I have dated guys that I had not instant attraction and never got it. But I always dated amazing people that enriched my life. I created friendship till today and of course I have also dated dbag ... realized after and are not my friend today. My point is that David, which btw I find attractive with an amazing smile and beautiful eyes, is a great man to get to know and be friend with, but Ashley cannot even be friend or at least be friendly with him. She just said she never had male friends and I can see that. I dont think she is ugly inside or outside, I thinks she is just incapable of creating any sort of real relationship, romantic or not. I am sorry for her, but on the bright side she does not know what she is missing out. PS my husband is black, religious, laid back and full of life and I am white, atheist, foreigner, extrovert and full of life. We are different but we complement each other and we both are joyfull. Ashely is joyless, and Sam needs to find somebody else (not sure what species we are talking about) maybe when she will be more mature.
I fell sorry for both Neal and David, both kind men that did not get a chance, either because matched with a spoiled child that does not know how to relate to people, or because matched with an un-affective mate.
I agree with you, wholeheartedly.

No one has said it's the god's honest truth -- only that it seems to make sense. It's interesting to me that when anything negative is posted about David it's considered speculation and must be coming from someone in Ashley's camp in order to tarnish his reputation unecessarily, but the minute that anything is posted about Ashley it must be the God's honest truth and there is no hesitation in calling her a bitch, liar, etc. Talk about supporting a narrative... There's 3 sides to every story and I guarantee that as viewers of a highly edited reality tv show that we aren't seeing any of them.
And viewers are basing their conclusions on what they can see, which is Ashley acting aloof and cold at best, and David acting naively optimistic.

Makes the most sense. Her phone became her best friend during the honeymoon when David was trying his damnedest to get to know her. She could barely turn her head towards him when answering him. Red flag was when she said her longest relationship was NINE YEARS. ..seriously, WTF? I just wish the show paid nothing so we could watch genuinely interested people give marriage a go. Stupid contracts ruin everything.

If the insiders info I just got is true, Ashley is a big liar and a fake... She should be apologizing to David... I am so angry right now... Let's hope the rumor is just a rumor
Please, oh please, oh please, oh please! I do SO want the info!

The only reason people are on David's side is because Ashley is so horrific. I don't know any objective person who thinks it's ok the way Ashley is treating David. I think David SHOULD text other woman and have sex with them. I don't know any man who wait sin weeks while a woman decided whether they were going to allow a man to kiss her on the cheek. I'd be peace out after the first date. Do you know any men this patient?
I agree. And David is delusional if he actually still wants to kiss that cold slab of a cheek after her treatment of him. But then I kinda think he might be, anyway.

Being a sociopath isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as the person recognizes it and had good guidance growing up, meaning they are able to discern right from wrong and find constructive outlets for their impulses.
And some people are just plain shitty.
David is by no means my favorite -- he's certainly odd -- but nobody could live with such stone faced hatred and end up happy for having gone through it.

It is possible it is him, it is possible it is not.
Don't think you can pay law enforcement to remove mug shots.
I would rather have him as a friend than Ashley.
Exactly.
Can you imagine what that would be like?
Person with heartbeat: Hey! How've you been?
Ashley: Fine
PWH: Good! Wanna grab a bite?
Ashley: Umm
PWH: What are you hungry for?
Ashley: I don't know
PWH: Sure you're okay? What's been going on?
Ashley: I got married and he kept trying to talk to me.
PWH: ...oh, ok,umm...
Ashley: And he stole my wax

I think I watch this show differently than others. It is a TV show, A reality show, which means a lot of what I see is not real. People are paid to do this show, they have contracts that insist on them doing something. I would love to see the contracts and see what they require,. Is it the loss of money, or are there additional requirements that keep them pretending on this show. I see Ashley as someone who just can't bring herself to pretend and finds it hard to accept David's pretending. Was there something terrible that happened or is it rubbing her the wrong way to pretend, did she try to back out and find she could not get out or is she the terrible person people say she is?
After meeting one of the most hated person on the Amazing race and finding out they had dysentery most of the race and had to keep stopping and finding bathrooms, not always easy, not always pleasant, and yet they kept on and was not shown to be ill, just very unhappy and "mean to their partner" and complaining about how hard everything was, and at the same time they were very nice. many other people vouched for her illness and was amazed at how far she got being so sick. That kind of affects how you watch reality. Yes no one wants to see someone retching and running for bathrooms, so that was not shown.
So in this case, I watch this show, but if people don't jibe, I don't hate them or even dislike them, I wonder about their contracts. I admit to not watching live, I tape it and fast forward when it gets too uncomfortable.
I'm sorry, but people on a reality show may act strange, odd, goofy, whatever, but nothing explains Ashley's bizarre lack of humanness toward David. Can't think of 3 nice things? Make something up! Don't like your new husband? Say so. Something is very, very wrong with that girl. The look on her face when she looks at David makes me feel like she's constipated and David is the giant turd she'd love to get rid of if only the universe weren't such a crappy place. Sheesh!

I missed the first few episodes (I know), so does Nurse Ratched -- I mean Ashley -- state she likes dark-haired guys?

I have to wonder if they show Sam gobbling and slurping when Neil is talking because that's the only time he can complete a sentence with her in the same room. Somehow production figured out she won't stop inhaling food, even to put her two cents in.

I don't carry a purse myself, but question for those of you who do...
When you're in your own home, do you carry your purse from room to room with you as Ashley does? Why would she do this?
She was afraid he'd steal it, or her mustache wax.

Ashley must've been afraid he'd steal her purse. Maybe he stole her mustache wax.
