Forget it. Give this whole thing to Shangela and Gleb. Best thing ever on DWTS. Even my tiny iPad can’t dull their sparkle.

I’m so speechless and happy for them! AHHHH 🤩

I was spoiled for who won so I wasn't going to bother watching the finale, but I am SO GLAD I got to see that number.  Absolutely the best thing I have ever seen on this show!

They did churros as a showstopper in the season Candice won. (My daughter and I are rewatching it on Roku.  Selasi is still adorable. 😀)

And it drove me nuts because they kept using "churros" to refer to ONE CHURRO!

  3. I gave this a try but I think I am out after the second episode.  There is just too much playing to the audience and WAY too much Jimmy Fallon. And what is with repeating a password on only the second episode?? I am sad because I have really fond memories of Password from my childhood, but this is not the show I love and remember.

Just watching Food Network, and Food Network Canada is doing a casting call for bakers for Big Bake.

I'm not sure if that means they are looking for a Canadian season of the series for FoodNetwork.ca, or if they are looking to have Canadian bakers competing with the American ones, but something is happening.

    It's a Canadian show.

We're almost to the point where it doesn't matter when a show is broadcast though. People will watch at their own leisure later On Demand or streaming. It's the live +7 ratings now.

Do people still watch live TV? I almost never watch anything live anymore.  It doesn't matter when it's on; I record everything and watch it when it's convenient for me.

Got the on-camera audience email that Las Vegas finale filming is next week, with the Women's Championship right after. I was able to sign up for two but instead of sending an email with my ticket it took me to a web page with the ticket displayed, and I'm not sure I can get back to it on my phone? I will check later.

Can you take a screen shot and mail it to yourself?

But I felt like throwing something at the TV because she's a baker and DOESN'T KNOW to put circles of parchment paper at the bottom of her cake pans??? Seriously, King Arthur Flour sells those things FOR A PURPOSE!

And was even Stephanie B calling them MACAROONS? Seriously? French "macaroons" have a different name. It's macaron.

Just once I want to see a judge play dumb and say "You said you were making macaROONS! These aren't macaroons, they are macaRONS!  Where's the coconut?"

Anyone know why they renamed it? I don't know anyone who says euler. Everyone says half loop.

Not a clue.  I just suddenly noticed it popping up in the score box about a year and a half ago and had to look it up because I had no idea what it was.

ETA: Wiki has a pretty good explanation of the jump and why the name was changed.

And now you think, Hanyu...if you were clean...

the same. the Euler is "new" to me. I usually watch the circuit at times (at least Skate Canada, etc) but i've never seen that before. i'm like... did they just step out?!

It's a half loop.  They just renamed it a couple of years ago.

They had it for some of the Grand Prixs and 4CCs. But I think the big events get commentary.

There seems to be two versions, the World Feed and the NBC broadcast options.  The World Feed has no commentary and shows EVERYONE.  The European women's short was almost 5 1/2 hours long!

Three hours, though, was almost an overload.

Does anyone know what substances caught fire, and stayed burning?  And how hot the flames were?  The intentional burns happening at the same time as their opponents unintentional burns made it hard to see what was happening.

Are we not going to see Minotaur or Tombstone again?  I was further confused that I thought Minotaur was from Brazil, but the desriptions were as if it were Greek.  I hated to see old friends destroyed early.

I wish they'd put the third hour on a different night, because I found it confusing that some of those bots had fought two hours earlier.

The Minotaur team is from Brazil; Faruq was referring to the beast from Greek Mythology that the bot was named after.

I'm sure both Minotaur and Tombstone will fight at least their three scheduled matches.  Everyone brings enough parts to rebuild if they have to.  I expect both of them will make it in to the main tournament.

The rocket ship was the cleanest of the three but IMO, it is a cop out to do such a large piece without several enchanting figures. They had a (well-done) window with small Santa looking out and was there just one elf? I really should post when the episode is fresh in my mind! One of them had amazing figures—was that the helicopter piece that looked like it had crashed? I watch so many of these type of shows that I get them twisted sometimes! But I do like this show very much! I, too, wonder why it’s on so late. I do DVR it and watch later, mainly so I can skip the commercials, especially anything with Ree’s face on it. Also, I do like that the surprise twists aren’t ridiculous and the judges almost always get it right.

There were several elves roasting marshmallows under the rocket -- I don't remember if it was 4 or 6.  The one with the hot rod only had one elf and it was face down.

I was poking around on YouTube to find favorite DWTS dances, and I ran across this - Stunning contemporary dance (courtesy of AGT airing in Japan - or is it China?):

    The subtitles are in Japanese.

I wondered about that, too. Also, does anyone know what the 'R' that was beside some of the element scores meant?

They did say that they had changed it at the beginning of the broadcast. I prefer the old version.

The R means the element is under review.
