Meh. It was definitely better than last year's finale but no better than the others. I don't know why the media hyped it so much, it wasn't that special.

All the Oliver/"my son" stuff was a snooze fest..also that kid got kidnapped by a psychopath, the man he just found out is his father came to his rescue in the GA suit and he doesn't utter a word? Not even a scream? "Help me!"? Meh.

I'm afraid Samantha is dead..damn it. For the rest as I said yesterday it's a good cliffhanger for casual viewers, but for us it's no big deal.

I agree, S4 finale was the weakest out of 5 seasons, there was not one emotional moment there ...

oliver's son is the dumbest person around who doesn't even know when he is being kidnapped half the time. Given his proclivity for kidnapping, one would think he was birthed by Laurel, who was also a queen of being kidnapped back in the day when she mattered to the storyline instead of uber liar Samantha ...

would have appreciated writers more if they had killed Myson instead of everyone else

  2. Does Steve think everyone is an idiot, like the people who follow him around the country for his boxed wine events and cons, and will believe whatever line he feeds them? It is NOT Emily's decision to not do PR, it is all on CW.

Every press outing that Steve has had this season was arranged by the network. Steve did not fly out the journalists to Vancouver from LA and arranged the interviews personally or through his team, CW did that. Steve did not arrange to attend Paleyfest through his agent, CW invited him. Steve did not go to CW upfronts because he was in NYC and was bored and decided to attend it, he was called in by CW ...

On the other hand, Emily Bett was missing from all of it and it was deliberate, she was being kept away from press for whatever BTS reason. I don't have to like it but I am okay with that as long as no one comes across and lies to my face like Steve did. Ignore the questions if you don't feel like answering the question but such outright lies insult my intelligence. Anyone who has worked or been around either PR or showboz journalism or with a modicum of common sense knows or figures out how it all works ... everyone not named Steve that is....

And if Talia is Chase's mother, then Chase can look at Oliver and go, "did you know that you're my uncle?"

    I need this.

Guggie please give it to me ... I need this like I need air

The first time I'd heard/seen of JS was at the Tony Awards, and I was all, Hellooo Nurse! Then he showed up without the beard, and my attraction dropped a good 50%. LOL.

Skip to 2:30 for some sexiness.

He can sing, he can dance and he can grow a beard and did we see anything on Arrow? Nope. Talk about wasting shit ton of potential... why you hate us Guggie

Oh, no doubt.  Felicity will be show to be dumb and stupid for trusting them and betraying poor, poor Oliver.

But then again, Oliver has done work for Argus and we have been told they don't always do good things so it will depend on just how questionable the things are that Helix wants her to do.  Right now based on what we have seen on the show I have no reason to want her with Team Arrow, so why not give Helix a try?

And I am guessing my wanting Felicity with Helix is not the writer's intent - but rather another unintended consequence of poor, plot point writing.

Oliver has worked for Fryers, Argus, Bratva and even League of Assassins (check out the name, duh!) Quentin was working for HIVE last season, but Felicity can't work with Helix who are yet to be shown as evils. At worst, they are vigilantes, like everyone else on the show. Both, the show and the audience has a problem with Felicity acting like human and away from Oliver which is all kinds of sad

  6. I think the writers are treating Felicity exactly like they treated Laurel as Oliver's ex. In fact, even worse, he at least felt guilty about cheating on her with her sister and Tommy dying but with Felicity, he doesn't even feel any remorse for either lying to her about BMD or killing her boyfriend. For him, Felicity is like Siri ... just there to assist him and solve his problems ... I agree, he has stopped seeing her as a person the minute she stopped being his girlfriend/fiancée

  7. Dear Thea Queen,

sorry to see you go, I hope you run off to wherever Roy is and live a happy, healthy and ordinary life, you both deserve it, stay in touch with Felicity and invite her over for a weekend when you guys get settled coz both of you girls need a friend or two.

Be happy and stay away from your all your biological family members,

    regards,

    a well wisher

Oh yeah,i shouldnt have said "every". I havent paid attention to all episodes but from 5x09 till 5x15 it has been trending each week. My point was that trending doesnt mean much when there are shows with 5k tweets during live tweeting that also reach the top 10 trends in US each week. It doesnt mean anything about ratings and doesnt indicate that much about Nielsen social rankings either.  For example both 5x15 and 5x10 were trending for hours afterwards but they both had very low ratings this season. 5x15 had ratings close to series low.

I think what you saw were tailored trends ... those are different, and not actual trend. If I recall correctly, Arrow has trended 3 or 4 times this season ... and that too for very short times, not longer hours long trend like before

So not a single person at the press conference heard the gunfire and explosions happening directly across the street?

I was screaming at my TV. Not only everyone is blind in Star City (They don't recognize Ollie as Green Arrow even though most of his face is visible) they are all deaf as well

Yep. And also not had her say she can't go public with what she knows now.

What? She hasn't heard of wikileaks?

Should have shared her info on Ollie with them, it would have blown like Hillary Clinton's email server

He was swearing her in, and she seemed to be the only recruit, haha.

Well, that's dumber. I mean there are a million and one things that need a mayor's attention. And one person swearing in .... like for real?

  12. I think it was a terrible episode ... I couldn't muster interest in anything. I only liked one scene from 42 minutes of crap ... and it was the scene between Thea & Felicity. Loved them together

  13. In what parallel earth does a mayor welcomes every officer that joins the police force? I mean Mayor Queen welcoming officer Drake was all kinds of weird. No wonder he doesn't get anything done and Thea ends up being de facto mayor coz real mayor is busy welcoming every new employee into the workforce.  My god, who is writing for Arrow now? Middle school drop outs?

Can we just forget this episode happened? The only positive thing to say about it is that Felicity's lipstick looked fantastic.

And her dress, Emily Bett is made to wear those well fitted skirts .... *total girl crush*

This makes a lot of sense to me. I really don't think they originally planned to keep the reporter around this long, but if they decided to let Willa go (whether permanently or temporarily), this would make keeping the reporter around make sense.

Thea might have been a brat in the past but her Suzy Snoozefest hate is delicious. She is also very pretty to look at.

By the way, just caught the promo for next ep ... not a single sign of Felicity

  16. Btw ... everything that was mentioned on the show regarding foster care, I just wanted to scream at my tv and say .... it doesn't work like that ...

Guggenheim is Anastasia Steele level of stupid.

And now I think Anastasia Steele and Oliver Queen are totally OTP material, because no two dumber fictional characters ever lived ... they are extra special
