Eh, Joe would probably take Barry for a spin on the dance floor before he did Iris anyway.

Iris will likely also have to wait for Joe to make his rounds among the guests telling everyone how horrible Oliver/GA is and how much better Barry is as a hero.

Killing a Jewish character in a Nazi episode. gross.

There are shows where I think this could be interesting and offer a decent message considering the state of the world.  These shows, are not them.

So does this mean William is not at his father's wedding?  I don't have a ton of use for William, but that seems cold given all he has been through and the idea that he and Oliver are supposed to be building a relationship.  Or does he make the crossover cast and Thea doesn't?

  2. Not a fan of the wedding in the crossover - but have to admit to an evil glee (the Grinch gif captures it) about the fact that it happens in the big comic book event based crossover.  Since, you know, Olicity are not comic book based and approved.

Yeah they will obviously be a part of it but don't have room to put everyone in there so they are prioritising the comics "names" as you said.

That's the issue for some of us - two characters who have been a part of the TV show universe from virtually day one - and they can't find a place for them?   That doesn't make me want to watch to be honest.

The balls it'd take to ask a man whose kid you erased from existence to officiate your wedding, LOL.

So much this.  If Arrow - and specifically Diggle and Felicity were treated equitably in this "universe," Diggle would punch Barry in the face every time he sees him.

All that artwork does is confirm my instinct not to watch any of the crossover.

I'm must amused by the fact that I really don't think Olicity/Felicity fans were trying this year.

I didn't see any sort of push this year - but I also have been paying less attention to the show than in years past and am committed to not giving his site any traffic, so its possible I just missed it.

It would be interesting to know the base size for the categories - both compared to each other and to previous years.  Without knowing the base, a percentage can be misleading.

There's a whole year to think of a way to make sure there's no category Olicity can win in..I believe in you Craig, LOL

Something like after winning five years in a row a couple is retired from consideration?  Or interaction has to be three or more people?  I think it will depend on how hopeful he is about the possibility of them losing.

  6. I assume the new GA suit is due to the fact that Diggle stretches the old one out so much Oliver can no longer wear it.  The new arrow suit thing is getting a bit silly at this point.  Chose a look and go with it Oliver.

Or maybe they are actually going to acknowledge that Diggle needs a "new" GA suit instead of pretending his arms are not twice the sized of SA's torso.

I am guessing the intro is about the kid - since it seems most things will be about the kid.   I keep hoping to hear the words "boarding school" but the show continues to let me down.

  7. JH used up all her benefit of the doubt chips with me over her social media usage issues, so this does not read well to me.  I am sure she would be plenty ready to move on if Oliver was free.  And if her character is so set on being a leader, great.  She can take the other two noobies on the team and lead them out of town.

  8. I really hope whichever villain is matched with Curtis that it is someone who likes to kidnap and hold people hostage for extended periods of time.  I have waited too long for this story line for Felicity to have Curtis make it unwatchable.

Massive love for DR for not playing the stupid Diggle (and/or Felicity) might be dead card when it comes to next season.

I love Alex Kingston, and I wish they'd done more with her. It seemed like they got her, loved that they did, and then ... that was it.

Given her character was primarily tied to Laurel it doesn't surprise me.  Once Laurel's significance as a character started to diminished I am guessing AK was no longer much of a consideration.  That aside, the show has not been great about parents on the show.  I guess technically Donna got the most in terms of development/story line (for a non-regular character) but even that was a mixed bag and they were not willing to commit longterm.

  10. The complete inability of these writers to think five minutes into the future continues to astound.  They could have begun to set Iris's new role up at the end of last season but instead they will apparently give viewer's instant team leader Iris.

The real question is will we get a toss away line about the leadership course/computer skills class her Dad had her take a la Laurel and her infamous self-defense class?

Hmm. I wonder if Diggle kills someone and pretends they died in the explosion?

    Very Dark and probably wrong.

I was guessing the other way - tries to stop someone from escaping and misses - but yours actually seems more inline with the show.  But we just had Dig kill his brother -- would they do another Dig kills someone story so soon?  And would it be Samantha?  Otherwise it is someone "bad" so how much (in terms of Arrow's morality) would anyone care?

  12. Thanks to everyone for gathering and sharing new from Nashville.

SA's truth or lie about Diggle firing and missing seems oddly specific and makes me wonder if Dig is hurt in someway.  Thea has been in too many comas and I don't see them killing her so I doubt the Thea clue.   I can see some issue where Dig can still fight, but his skills are diminished.  Seems like one of the few story lines they haven't had for Dig.  I also wonder if someone being hurt brings Felicity's tech goals back and is what helps get her moving towards Smoak Tech.  And I vaguely remember DR saying we will see more of what the helmet can do this year - perhaps because he needs some help?

ETA:  typed this before the new spoilers - seems at least a piece of it is even more likely now...

Having typed that I realize I have now probably given the motivation of these characters more thought that the whole writing team which will have them do whatever is needed for plot.

Add me to the hope the wedding is not part of the crossover - too many people I don't care about are involved that way.  I am worried that Curtis will end up being the one that marries them based on EK's statement about trying to bring them together.  I will only, only accept this if it is because Oliver needs Dig as his best man - otherwise it should be Dig.

Not sure how I feel about Felicity and William - guess it is unavoidable - but good lord what do I have to do for some Dig and Felicity scenes???

KC has never aknowledge that a woman can be kick ass and not wear a mask

I don't think it occurs to her which was a big part of why I did not like LL early on - the show kept telling me how strong she was, but the portrayal never matched the words.   It always seemed she was so busy waiting for the mask that she didn't understand she needed to be playing kick ass (and I am not talking about the physicality of the role) even without it.

  14. Putting the other 10,000 reasons this idea is stupid aside, yes, let's certainly have a triangle with one of the people responsible for helping to kidnap and keep myson hostage (not to mention kidnapping his friends and team) and Oliver.  That won't make Oliver look like an even bigger box of rocks than he did all season.  If nothing else SA seems invested in the idea of Oliver the good dad - and this would kill that idea dead.

I do take heart that it was a question from the moderator (who was really bad) and that the audience did not seem at all to embrace it at all.

The interaction between EBR and JS was cute - they seem to have a nice friendship - and given that they spent so little time together on screen/shooting together it is nice to see how friendly they are.

  15. My first thought was the twin thing too (you know because this show is only soapy when it comes to relationships :) :) ).   I like the setting-up the team idea too.

Perhaps he left a few videos behind to torment Oliver and also where he plans to out Oliver as GA?

  16. I will give MB points - his behavior since he left the show has not endeared him to me, but he is a good enough actor that I still appreciated Slade last night.

Strangely I think my favorite Olicity moment was not the kiss but the exchange about Slade.  Felicity wants Oliver to explain his seeming poor choice and Oliver agrees he will (if at a more appropriate time).  Sweet progress!  If only he had done that with Myson.  And I would have paid for that scene to have included MB instead of his stunt double because I am guessing his facial expression would have been worth it.

As much as I don't want the kid around I still hope Samantha is dead.  Everything she said last night was stupid and annoying.  She snarks about Malcolm being willing to die for his kid?  But plays mother of the year later about leaving the island?  Perhaps Myson didn't get all his stupid from Oliver after all.  And what a waste that we had to have Felicity stuck talking to her when they could have extended Felicity's scene with Thea instead.

I seriously needs someone to ask DR and/or EBR why they are not allowed to be friends on screen anymore.  It has just gone beyond stupid that they never get to really interact anymore.

Hit her again Quintin!  I struggle with my love for you since you helped spawn LL in the first place, but if you keep clocking (any version of) her it will go a long way in getting back in my good graces.

ST was great last night.  SA does such good work with her - it is such a waste that they killed her off.

I also need something between her and Slade (or at least a mention by him).

I am guessing any Felicity and Slade will be no more than a snarky exchange of a line or two.  But Chase is this season's big villain so I need some exchange between the two.  I know it will be short since it doesn't involve a) fighting/stunts or b) the dumb kid.

I am also still curious if Chase had any knowledge of Helix given that he was the one who produced the drive that was used to help Diggle.

  18. Okay - since Nyssa likes reminding everyone of her "marriage," Samantha can die and Nyssa can raise her "husband's" child.  She can keep him safe and sound and off screen forever.  Problem solved!

I have been wondering if Felicity's weird camping line is to set-up a joke about the island in the next episode?  It was such a weird line.

The ending with Felicity and Chase better be leading some where next episode, if for no other reason than my curiosity about how EBR and JS will work together.

That's actually funny though.  Are we going to see Oliver contact Laurel next episode and she rejects him?  How do they get from the image of Laurel making Oliver choose life to what happened in the pilot episode?

I wonder how much they wish CD was available and could have used Tommy instead in that scene (if for no other reason because KC doesn't look anything like she did in season one).

Clearly KC did not spend her free time taking acting lessons.  Love ya PB, but looks like you have moved back to fast forward land given your scene partner.

Show, as others have pointed out, you have to make me care about the kid if you are going to make such a big deal of him.

And while we're at it show, the husband jokes - have worn out their welcome.  It was funny (arguably) once.  Now, it's old, tired, and annoying.

Loved Malcolm and his sharing his truths with Oliver.  It almost makes me wish he had been around more this year to call Oliver stupid.

Felicity and Diggle together are always a plus.  And kudos to the show for showing Lord Mesa some love.  He seems like a good guy who manages to be respectful to all of the fandom.

  20. If my care and concern is supposed to be about the kid, you needed to do a better job making him matter show.  Get back to Dig and Felicity.  Or even Rene and Curtis at this point.
