  1. I don't like where they're going with this. I know I'm in minority but I just don't see it. I love Buck and Eddie as best friends but I've never shipped them as a couple. I don't get it why so many people do ๐Ÿ™ˆ the same way I didn't get why people shipped Sam and Dean on Supernatural, they were brothers for god's sake ๐Ÿ™ˆ I understood Dean and Castiel though. I must admit Tommy seems like a decent character, a lot better than a death doula, but still I don't want them to go that route. I think it's out of character for Buck. At the first half of the episode I thought that it was just about the plane and abillity to do more crazy stuff for Buck and that Buck was jelous for both od them because he wanted to be on the center od attention, just like when Eddie showed up for the first time.

I'm annoyed by people like Josefina who feels like Eddie won't be happy or complete or something unless he has a woman in his life. Eddie has a full plate with Christopher and his job. If he feels like that's enough for now he shouldn't be made to feel that he is lacking in life. His failed romantic relationships can have a negative impact on Christopher too. Not everyone has to be with someone to be happy.

Yes, thank you! I needed for someone to say this:)

I want to know why Hen hasn't looked into Denny's father's background. Does he have a record? How did he get involved with Hen's scummy ex? And of course, he did relinquish his parental rights, so he can't really petition for custody.

Actually they did, back on season 1 or 2, when he wanted to sue for custody due to the biological mother's shenanigans.

And speaking od Hen, I'm tired of the show making her so freaking perfect. Everyone had a 'but', but perfect Hen was even a better cap than Cap. ๐Ÿ™ƒ I think she even is more perfect than The Sun herself. (You know what I mean od you whatch Greys Anatomy;)

It seems like the writers have gone extra miles to sideline Eddie in this episode. Are they done with queerbaiting Buddie??!

Buck and Eddie's friendship is one of the great things about 9-1-1. Don't ruin it.

Eddie doesn't even exist in Buck's comaverse. Other than screaming "done more" to the ER doctor & nurses, this is the closest he gets with Buck.

Exactly! I came here to see if anybody else's noticed. It's like they're keeping the actors separetaly at all costs.

There was no Eddie in the coma dream, which was bizarre and VERY noticeable. Did they cut his scenes or choose not to have Eddie around Buck much at all? Because Eddie is Buck's best friend; he should have been way more involved.

I would be okay with that if there would be at least a lot more Eddie in the 'real' world. Having e.g. some heart to heart talk with Buck, maybe instead of Eddie's kid.

Sure Dean was awesome but that I'm pretty sure they just really had no interest in that story. But hey if that's what you took from it. Cool. It's not what I took from it. YMMV

I have always assumed that Sam's hell trauma was due to being locked up with Lucifer and not because he was 'simply' in hell. Frankly it never even occured to me to compare it to Dean's time on hell. ๐Ÿ˜…

And yaas, I'm rewatching the series, so hello to anybody who reads the thread on 2023:)

I've been wondering where they were going with New Guy EMT once Chim came back and he was sent off to another house, but still on the show. Of course he has to turn out to be a villain, because God forbid this show does anything surprising.ย

I hope he won't, though. Just to prove Hen wrong. I just can't stand her. Thankfully her wife is very likeable.

Also, I wish there would be a suprise im the end, especially now that everyone od convinced that he is a villan.

I didn't like Claudette but her death felt anticlimactic.

I mean...after the UTTERLY pointless snowstorm arc (besides getting the fire station back), this...wasn't a bad episode to come back to. There were some decent moments, overall.ย

I did like Carlos getting his own storyline for what feels like the first time ever (I know he's had a couple of solo storylines, but they're few and far inbetween), although Owen being the person to have the Big Save was annoying as all hell. Because, apparently, Carlos couldn't have this one win where he personally caught the kidnapper after doing all the hard work to find her in the first place. Of course Owen struts in on his white horse...uh, car, with Amy Acker by his side.ย

Speaking of that, of course Amy Acker is his new love interest. I didn't MIND their dinner scene, but it went on for way too long. There was a solid two minute conversation just on Matthew McConaughey alone.

Judd/Grace's storyline? Of COURSE there's a secret son twist. Of COURSE we have to see it instead of Judd/Grace being first time parents. Of COURSE Judd doesn't officially take a paternity test to make sure, so Wyatt is probablyย not gonna be Judd's kid, which will make this storyline pointless once Wyatt and his mom completely disappear once this arc is done in a few episodes.ย

    ย

And Grace irrationally being angry at Judd works for me.

I hope you're right. I hate the storyline and I want Grace and Judd back to being happy. They're my comfort food out of tv shows. ;)

And I too get why she was upsett. I would be too. But still she was the one to ask the kid for the phone number.

The only thing I liked about this is that Judd didn't hide from Grace.

  8. Does anybody know the meaning of the casserrole? ๐Ÿ˜„ I couldn't figure that out, why did she bring it to everyone. Was it her dautgher's favourite food?

Overall I liked the show, even though I wanted to drop after the first episode. What can I say, it grew on me. ๐Ÿคท I think I will tune in for the season two if one happens.

  11. I'm surprised how nobody's talking about the Sabrina/Greendale connections (or easter eggs?). The mines? The eldrich terrors? Not to mention the Minerva actress? No idea, I just recall seeing it on the entertainment sites when it happened, and that was the first article Google brought up. I don't follow any of the actors either.

Sure, I understand. I actually hope the cast get along and that there's no drama behind the scenes like in Grey's.

Ryan Guzman defended his wife's use of the N word.

Maybe, since Maddie looks so physically ill, it will turn out to be an actual physical ailment that is causing her to be so tired/sensitive. I, too, would like to see her and Chim be happy at the same time.

I saw that, but thought it was something else and bad to the core. Is there some bad blood between the cast after the actor's comments? It seems like he handled the situation very poorly, but it doesn't mean he's a bad person and should be fired. It's hard to say anything more because I don't know the whole story and don't even follow the actor on social media or the news about him. So is there more to the story?

I like Eddie, I hope he survives. What did the actor do that was so bad and can result in being fired? I tried to google it, but honestly I don't find it

I wish they would just let Maddie be happy. She and Chim had been through a lot, they could at least let them be happy parents.

I love that Carla is back!

Aww Sue is married to Jerry/Gerry/Terry/Larry!

I did like this episode and how the cases tied together, although Athena's point about how a 20 year old white woman missing wouldn't just be dismissed was disheartening to hear (and sadly true).

In my country there are a lot of missing cases of both men and women that go unheard. I don't know why some cases are all over the media and some don't and that is sad, because for the well known cases there are a lot of forces and energy put to find those missing people and for the cases that are not in the media there is severly less effort. So Buck was right to involve the media.

The one thing that bugged me about this episode is that it seemed really stupid for Sue to go running towards that car. Unless I'm mistaken, there had not yet been any 911 call about the missing girl, so she actually had no way of knowing she'd been kidnapped. She saw a girl seemingly passed out, she could have just been really tired for all she knew. She had no way of knowing she was actually in trouble, and even if her spidey senses were telling her something was wrong, the most she should have done was taken down the license plate. Or called 911. Not get out of the car and go running towards them.

I partially agree, but in the flashback we can ser that Sue saw the kidnapper to dump the girl's purse and/or Walker in the dumpster and I believe that allarmed her the most.

  17. Poor Buck. A date from hell. Or in a minefield since that woman found a way to be offended at anything he said. Also, Buck please, poop story it's not a story for a date. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  18. That was so sad episode. OMG. Buck is the best character on this show. But they're all pretty much awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚ The one thing missing from the episode is Bobby discussing Buck's problem with Athena. I'm glad Athena said to Buck he didn't give up. Buck sure looks up to Bobby and Athena. ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. I don't know if it's just me or what but this episode was so boring. I was really looking forward to move the stories into 'the future' and now I'm just disspointed. None of it makes sense. I know it's crazy Riverdale and looking for sense it's pointless, yet still here we are. What is the thing with Veronica and her job? If I understood correctly she doesn't work at Lacy's jelewery store because she wants more edge. So how does her job in another jelewery store have more edge? Her husband already bores me and I'm totally not in for Hiram 2.0 and apparently Hermione 2.0. Cheryl The Martyr it's just sad. Should Betty be even allowed to be a FBI agent with her history? How much drama can one person takie in? Jughead's plot is annoying.ย  And Toni seriously? If my ex came to me after 7 years and said "now my family is ok with us being together", I would be pissed of just for start.ย

At this point I don't think I will be back for next episodes...

Or, to help fill the gap in age, there was an in-between child with leukemia or something and the parents only had Buck for a transplant. That didn't work. It's 9-1-1; go for the crazy, dramatic, and maximum emotional hit. Then once the sick kid dies, they disappear from their kid's lives, Maddie remembers how they used to be, but obviously Buck doesn't.

That's too much Grey's Anatomy to me and all of the hidden Meredith's siblings.

I took a very different thing away from the discussion of therapy that Buck and Maddie had.ย ย

She was concerned about him and wondering if there was a specific reason that he felt he needed therapy, like if there was a traumatic thing that she somehow missed.ย  He says "you told me I was sad and lonely, and you were right" and her first reaction is why he didn't talk to her about it.ย  Maybe she felt a little guilty.ย  They have spent so much time and energy on her problems that she may feel like she has failed him, or that her careless words injured him somehow.ย  The big thing I got was when he told her that he didn't talk to her because she always seemed sad too.ย  That bothered her A LOT.ย ย

    ย

Finally! Someone got it the way I did. I'm suprised that so many people thought that Maddie was against therapy.ย ย

How does that work, IRL?ย  I just assumed wildfires are fought by specialists who specifically fight wildfires, like smokejumpers , hotshots or wildland firefighters and that your municipal firefighters are called in for support?ย  So maybe they were there to do mostly search and rescue or stuff like that?ย  At least that was my headwank.ย  But then this was also the tail-end of the fire and we missed most of the action off screen.

Well, frankly I don't how to fight wildfires. I was hoping to see that in the episode. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I thought it was just the beggining of the wildfire because it started when that kid went camping and didn't the rest of the kids say he had went 'yesterday'? And since they had to bring firefighters from all over the country I thought it was a big one and a hard one to control. Maybe I just assumed wrong. I kind of was hoping to see action like this because last year there were a lot of huge wildfires all over the world. Like you know in 9-1-1 shows they make up those big natural distasters when the nature in real life already 'came up' with a big disaster. ๐Ÿ™‚ It would be interesting to see that in the show.
