    Adam Levin, you're my hero.

In the end it didn't matter, but you gave James quite the scare, and you gave the audience an exciting and suspenseful game for the first time in ages. You also amassed a final total that in the pre-James era would have been considered phenomenal.

    Agree 100 percent. Well said!

Adam did a great job and I would have been ok  if he won although I’m still enjoying the James ride quite a bit. But Adam is the type of player I normally enjoy.  Smart, normal with the buzzer, quick on the selections, pleasant, not afraid of a big DD wager.  If someone like that beats James I’ll be ok with it. Just not ready yet

I remember that, too! Thanks for the nostalgic reminder. I may be the only one on Earth, but I'd be very pleased to get a year's worth of Rice-a-Roni, as I'm a carboholic who eats rice daily.

Lol I enjoy rice somewhat but I’m not really into carbs.  Now, if I won a year’s worth of cheese, that would make me happy. Only thing better would be a lifetime supply!

When I was in college, the second place prize was usually a trip and third place would be something like the home game.  I was watching with a friend (before the prizes were revealed) one night and she said 2nd and 3rd place prizes suck.  The prizes were revealed and I said something like a trip was nice.  She said "well, the other one."  And I said "they lost, what do you want?"  No real point to that story except "losers" can't expect much in the way of prizes:)

Lol I do remember the home version of games being given out as loser prizes.  Also I remember when the prizes would be boxes of “Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco treat”. I can still hear the jingle but I forget which show did that.  Can you imagine taking off of work, paying for your flights and hotels and expensive big city meals, and getting Rice-a-Roni as a prize?  Then again this was back in the days when winners won real prizes and people who did not win did not.  Good incentive to try hard!

On a different note, Brittany's extra effort surrounding Jax birthday is just rewarding his bad behavior.  He will cheat again, especially because he sees what a doormat she is. Sad.

So true.  You know what?  I'm a straight, married woman and yet I am half contemplating flying out to California and starting a relationship with Brittany and then cheating on her...for the simple reason that I have never seen anyone treated better than she treats Jax after he dogged her like that.  She's been giving him so much more sex, and smiles, ever since she found out what he did.  And now the birthday.  My husband does the right thing for me on my birthday, yes, but a party at my favorite restaurant? And a drum set? And then a vacation with all my friends?  Brittany, where you at?  Sign me up!

This episode Dom tells folks how he made a fake idol and fooled Chris only to have James see through it and figure out that Dom has a real idol and just made a fake idol to throw people off of the trail of the real idol.

I can't even understand Dom's plan.  It was smart to tell chris he didn't have an idol, but then ridiculous to then quickly tell him he actually did, even though he showed him the fake idol. You just showed the guy that you're an untrustworthy liar, and for no reason.   And then Dom gets with the new swapped tribe and proudly boasts to them how he fooled chris with his fake idol.  Say what?  That's like going on a blind date and bragging about how you cheated on your ex wife.  All that did was show them also that he's a sneaky liar.  I mean everyone lies on survivor when there's a good reason to, and you have to do it to get ahead.  But this just seemed so stupid and unnecessary to me and I feel I must be missing something here.

  8. I admit I'm not good at math, but this is so confusing...how were scheana and shay married for six years?  We saw them get married on the show, maybe that was a year or so ago..and ok since the events happen months before the shows air, even if we tack on another six months..they can't have been married more than two years, three tops.  I also don't get why scheana and rob keep saying they've been together for ten years, not counting her marriage, that's already kinda strange to me...wouldn't you say we were together a few years, then broke up, and now she's divorced and we're back together? Weird!  And again, how did they come up with her being married six years? That is not possible.  I don't know why I care about this but it's been nagging me lol

I...have an interesting theory.  I think Henry threw the final comp.  I think he knew if he and Evan won, they'd be stuck together for a long time.  I think he was done with her, and looking for a way out.  Being in a relationship with her has got to be exhausting.  I saw little humor or lightheadedness between them.  I think Henry realized that now that they're done with school, and debate club is over, he's free to make his own choices--but only if he's free to make his own choices.  If they lose, they still get some money for second place, and Evan is the bad guy in the breakup because she can't stand to lose.  Win-win for the Hen-man!

I don't believe it was a long-reasoned or entirely conscious decision on his part, I think it came straight from his id.  He seemed really "off" and inwardly focused during the last leg.  A lot of that could be pegged on exhaustion, but my theory is that he w as doing some hard thinking and evaluation of his future.

Like I said, only a theory.

I didn't have a chance to read all responses yet so it may have been answered...but looking at their Instas from as recently as a day or two ago, Henry and Evan are very much still together

  11. All I know is I can't wait a week to hear James tell Lala he's in love with her. This is the fun stuff to me!  I feel for Rachel, but James and Lala belong together. Ok, she's not about to give up her sugar daddy for this brokeass "DJ", and frankly, she shouldn't have to if she doesn't want to.  They're not hurting anybody (he was already separated before) and they are both getting something out of the relationship. But jeez her and James seem to really get each other and enjoy each other.   Or at least I enjoy them together lol.  Bring it James I can't wait to hear what Lala has to say

    “Earnest words of encouragement”

If I didn’t already love Team Well Strung for superficial reasons, Trevor’s dry delivery would have won me over. Thank goodness they’re still in the race. Now get them somewhere hot so Chris can take his shirt off.

Oh this was delicious, really made me laugh!  I too love the dry delivery, and the fact that he chuckled at the end of his own sentence.  I believe the exact words were, "earnest delivery...words of encouragement"  and I'm going to use that on my family from now on!

  13. Now I'm upset because everything for me is upside down.  I liked Cheyenne from what I saw on the challenge (I don't watch ayto or whichever show she was from) but I can't stand Cory from day one on his real world show all the way through till yesterday.  I like that he stands up to johnny but other than that I can't tolerate him.  Now I find out Cory and Cheyenne have a baby girl together and something happened inside me because I felt badly that Cory lost.  I'm like what about the baby, he needs the money now. Ugh. I don't want to care about Cory!  He's like another Tony now.  On the other hand, if he's with Alicia, I guess then it's over with him and Cheyenne. I normally watch for fun and it's amusing with all the relationship issues and entanglements, who's been with who, etc. but once there are babies involved, my human emotions come back into play. Damn you Cory and Cheyenne, ruining my mindless pleasure!

  14. Also, on a shallow note, I thought Jen Bush was gorgeous and definitely the most attractive of all the SUR women, with the exception of Lala. Supposedly she's been in a few scenes over the years, but I don't remember seeing her around.  How is it decided who has a main role on the show, while some other servers don't get camera time?  It's definitely not a looks thing, since to me Jen is super pretty. I remember the first or second episode ever, Kristen was saying something about "how we are all so amazingly gorgeous, sorry not sorry but clearly we are better looking than everyone else" and I laughed because I thought she was hideous looking

Brittany is only staying with Jax b/c she's a fame whore.

    BIngo!

Brittany thinks Jax is her ticket out of palookaville (pls don't hate, I'm not dragging Kentucky, I think this is what she feels!) . She should realize she's a cast member now, on her own, and toss him.

Might I add, any of us who's ever been in love knows if she loved him she'd have left him, because the pain was so deep.  Her pain seems to be very shallow, I mean forgiving him is up to her, but all the laughing, smiling, throwing parties?  Nope, that's not someone who is emotionally devastated.  The only time she got really emotional was when she heard the tapes and he insulted her looks

I also call foul on the "twist" at the end which served no purpose but to screw Chrissy out of her win and give it to Ben.

I'm also not a fan of the twist but I don't see how it "screwed Chrissy out of her win". She was still in F3 and was in position to receive votes and therefore able to win.

With blatant producer manipulation like we saw tonight, it felt more like watching Big Brother than Survivor. (And don't get me wrong -- I love Big Brother. But y'all know what I'm talking about.)

That's what I kept thinking too, this episode feels like Big Brother, though I wanted Ben to win, so I'm happy.  I do believe Ben deserves it and had a strong game, but come on. That was a producer last-minute trick, which ruins BB for me and I hope doesn't start ruining survivor.

  21. And what about Faith? This girl slept with her friend's boyfriend, multiple times.  First of all, even if you somehow believed his story about breaking up with Brittany, you saw they were still together after you fked him, so what's your excuse the second time? And the third? And when you ran up to them at the party and said let me come to your after party?

And second of all, where's your girl code?  Whether she and Brittany are friends or merely coworkers, you don't fk your friend's boyfriends, you don't fk your coworker's boyfriends.  Jax is a skanky ho, and Brittany is shady, but Faith is a snake too

Anybody else get a chuckle at how this show tries to portray Brittany as this wholesome, innocent Country Girl who just got crushed by the evil Jax Taylor?  Yeah, it sucks that Jax cheated on her, and clearly she is hurt about it, but the idea that she was some innocent girl is comical.  Let us examine the history of this girl:

    1) She apparently met Jax in Las Vegas, and that's assuming she wasnt social media stalking him first.  Either way, you arent meeting Jax Taylor, at a place in Vegas, that isnt super trashy or full of people partying hardcore. That's where she also happened to be.

    2) After meeting him, you know she looked him up and saw all kinds of dirt on him (assuming she already hadnt been stalking him).  Who he was, how awful a person he was, and how he was a big cheater.  But no worries, she was good with that, because...

    3) She insta-moved to LA at the drop of hat to be with him, all to be on TV like the fame whore she is.  LOL.  Oh yeah, what an innocent girl.

    4) Tattoo behind the ear and who knows where else.  Ill placed tattoos tell a lot about a girl, and they dont point to innocence or wholesomeness.

    5) She let him buy her new boobs because HE wanted them bigger.  LOL.  Sounds like a real wholesome girl.

    6) When we saw her in Kentucky, we met her friends, and they were all hard partying single mothers.  LOL.  All of them!!!  Even her sister had a skanky past.

    7) We saw her ex-boyfriend.  LOL.  Hmmmm, Im sure THAT didnt go over well in Kentucky church.

    8) She found eyelashes and knew Jax was cheating, and never said anything.

    9) She had sex with Jax literally days after finding out he raw dogged skanky Faith without a condom.

    10) She stayed with him to current day.

So please, spare me the sweet, innocent, country girl charade Bravo is selling.  This girl was a hard partying fame whore, who probably stalked Jax on social media, then met him, then sunk in her hooks, then got herself to LA and on a TV show she probably watched religiously.  Brittany got exactly what she should have expected out of this, a little money, some TV time, and an STD from a cheating JAX.

Thank you for this!  I have been thinking something so similar for so long....here's a girl they portray as little country mouse being treated poorly by her evil boyfriend in the big city.  I don't see her that way AT ALL, and you've said it so well.  I didn't watch their show so idk about her ex-boyfriend and her friends and sister, but it doesn't surprise me.  This chick bolted her small town to move In with a guy she barely knew, who lives in LA and plays a jerk in a reality show.  What did she expect.  It makes me laugh when she keeps saying "after all I did for you". What did she do for him? She moved to LA for HERSELF and he was her only ticket.  She must have been the hot girl in her town and was always told to get out of there and get famous, and that's what she (sort of) did.  She is using Jax more than he is using her and while I think she probably has some feelings for him and is hurt or embarrassed, she is in this for herself and is trying to get ahead out there in Cali.  I'm not going to judge bc if it works for them, fine, but let's put the obvious truth out there. Nope, I don't feel bad for either one of them, this is the deal they made.  One of them will leave, maybe they'll have a made-for-tv free wedding first, but one will eventually leave when they find something better to get them to the next step and that will be that

  23. No.. that cannot be Patrick. It can't.  I pictured Patrick to be like a John Slattery (Roger Sterling) type, at least in looks and demeanor.  Someone I could envision Stassi looking up to when comparing him to the SURvers in her past, especially because doing this show was beneath him.  To see this tool in all his nasty messy man bun faux hipster douchiness is just such a letdown.  The only traits of Stassi's that were decent were her apparent intelligence and sarcastic quick wit.  To see her pretending to be silly and giggly and dopey just to allow him to feel superior, which he clearly requires in their relationship?  Just no.  Ew. No..
