  1. Donna didn't tell Gina for Gina's sake. She did it for herself because she's sad and angry and wants someone else to be sad and angry with her. St. Donna at her worst, but people IRL do that shit all the time. The most unrealistic thing about this storyline is that Donna's parents failed to anticipate exactly how Donna would react to this news. Of COURSE she was going to tell Gina!

Hahaha, that noise Dylan makes after Kelly says "All or nothing" is amazing. It's just like the "Least Valuable Player" sound.

  2. Noah could easily have made his point without making up a fictional dancer, but he's too lazy/stupid to do so. Yes, dancers are real people with real problems and real bills to pay. Shouldn't be that hard to explain, NOAH, or to understand, KELLY. You're both awful.

  3. There is no way legal dilettante Matt is talented enough to achieve this huge victory.

Luke Perry should have asked for more takes if they were going to use that sample of David's voice for the art installation. It sounded like he was mumbling while asking a question.

  4. I don't understand what is going on with David's hair. I thought it was accidental just-out-of-the-shower hair, but then they immortalized it on those stupid t-shirts, which means he wants his hair to look like that ON PURPOSE.

  5. White flip flops are an especially bad choice for cleaning up puddles of blood.

David feeling sorry for himself because "the nice guy" is a loser who gets trampled on is rich. YOU ARE NOT NICE.

  6. That was some impressive mental gymnastics Donna used to justify macking on someone who's not her boyfriend and who, incidentally, has the squarest of square jaws.

Did the hair people on the show just hate everyone except Vanessa? Everyone else's hair looks hideous. Or was that just the late 90s and I've blocked it out?

  7. I think you set a record for number of times Dave was told to shut up.

Loved that Mini, and Dave's story about lying to his friends when they recommend shows to him. I told my best friend repeatedly that she would love Kimmie Schmidt, and when she didn't like it I was stunned. Not because I care if she doesn't like the shows I like, but because I felt like I'd let her down by not knowing her tastes well enough!

  8. HAHAHA IT'S SO FUNNY THAT SHE MISSED POP CULTURE HAPPENINGS BECAUSE OF HER MENTAL ILLNESS, LET'S MINE IT FOR ALL THE JOKES! Of all the horrible takes on serious issues the show has had, this story line might be making me the angriest.

Even when Donna has a good line, she ruins it because she can't enunciate. I suppose Season 9 is too late for me to hope she'll ever start hitting her consonants.

  9. That slap from Gina looked extremely lazy. Put your back into it, girl!

Matt's diploma looks like a summer camp participation certificate. And this is so nitpicky, but there's no such thing as a "Bachelor of Political Science." You get a B.A. PoliSci is a major, not a degree.

It is kind of funny how no one on this show who had a drug problem remembers it enough to relate it back to this.

I think there are fewer people on the show who haven't had a drug problem than who have. Steve, Janet, Matt and Gina and ... that's it? I think? And Matt and Gina just got here.

Hahaha, Noah saying Donna is so amazing because of how she can "forgive and forget." Emphasis on the "forget," just like everyone in the writers room.

The GIF of the surprise party reveal left me with this question - have we, to this point, seen Janet interact one-on-one with Donna, or Kelly, or anyone else in The Gang?  And, I mean, she's not even Steve's girlfriend, they just work together.  Why is she being forced to participate in Gang events?  Love yourself, Janet!

So it looked like Donna had a total of 7 "friends" at this party. One is Gina who actually hates her, and one is Janet who barely knows her. Sounds about right, tbh. This is not a party to be jealous of, Gina!

Does Rush ever find out about Samantha being gay?  I feel like that would be an amazing scene!

You're right, that would be great! IDK why, because he's a pretty reliably an asshole, but I imagine him actually being supportive and ripping on Steve for being a dick.

Also, there's no way the tobacco company would want to hire low-rent ambulance-chasing Matt.

  13. Thank you for the Canon submission! I'm going to be busting out my Alias DVDs when I get home. And I, too, cannot see coffee ice cream without thinking of that scene with fake Francie.

ETA: Also I really miss my "Who's Your Spy Daddy?" shirt and I wish I hadn't gotten rid of it, even though it wouldn't fit me now.

  14. Mrs. Teasley, WTF are you doing talking to random people about your student's family problems?! That is such a privacy violation! It bugs me so much how "professionals" on this show are so quick to break every legal and ethical confidentiality rule. Matt talks to anyone who asks about his clients' business. Saint Kelly spilled every Clinic Clinic patients' private medical and mental health issues in her self-righteous quests. Don't get me started on Brandon's so-called "journalism." And now Mrs. T, who should totally know better.

    • Love 8
  15. Ah, Brandon's storied journalistic ethics, using his newspaper to advance his ex-fiance's personal interests! And Kelly, violating the patients' privacy by telling Brandon all their stories! I'm not convinced they shouldn't have gotten married, they are both awful in the same smug, self-important ways.
