  1. Probably dating myself here but I watched the original show back in the early 80's. It was soapy, lavish and fun for many years until the Moldavian  wedding massacre debacle. I was fully prepared to hate this version but it's kind of growing on me which means that naturally it won't get a renewal.

They really like to pile it on, don't they?  The evil vice president is now running the country Darius lost his company, Jillian dumped Liam and not only is Grace's daughter not talking to her, she found out that she's behind Tess in Darius' life.

There's a point where it's suspenseful and then there's beyond that where it's just silly.

This! I was thoroughly enjoying this show very much and then this episode went totally off the rails. I almost expected to have a mustache twirling villain pop up.

  3. Totally didn't see that ending coming at all! I wish that old guy was a better shot. I would have cheered if he'd blown Nikki's head off. She's a useless skank and honestly adds nothing to the show. While I like to think that Baz was shot by Lucy's brother, that seems a little too pat for me. Loved this season and can't wait for season 3. I wonder if they will make us wait until next summer, I hope not.

  4. Clip! Btw, love the guys freaking out because Pope has a gun.

Sorry about the date screw up, not sure how that happened because I double checked it.

  5. Aaaaaaah! What a nail biter this episode was! This freaking show is just written so well that I am always thinking the episode can't be over yet. I've have decided to go with my gut feeling from a few weeks back that J is playing the long game. I was really disappointed to see that Deran let that kid get carted off to most likely be murdered. Craig is unbelievably dumb I swear. As f'd up as Pope is, I really wish that they hadn't made him a murderer last season because there's no redeeming him. Baz is kinda scary right now.

So it looks like I'm the only one who liked this episode. And considering the minimal (but awesome) screentime Gunnar had, I was surprised how much I liked it.

I'm not ready for Deacon to be with someone else because I just don't think it's realistic that he'd move on from Rayna this quickly, but I like his friendship with Jessie. I think it's good for him to have someone who wasn't as close to Rayna and has more of an outsider perspective on the situation. Their scenes last night were emotionally effecting for me, which is the first time that's happened in a non-Gunnar scene in a while.

It would have been nice if we'd seen random chick for a while before she started giving Avery relationship advice, but I get that we were supposed to infer that they've gotten to know each other on tour. The advice may have come because she wanted to jump him, but it wasn't any less accurate. Avery and Juliette have a decidedly unhealthy relationship and have for a long time. I was so glad when he decided to tour despite her objections. (I just wish we could have seen more than 3 minutes of it.)

I must comment on the preview for next week. I will happily suffer through all of the "stolen song" nonsense in order to get the scene of Gunnar telling Scarlett how she really is. They've played this season like everything is his fault and it's so not. I just pray it doesn't end in a reconciliation for them. I'm so beyond done with them as a couple.

I'm more undecided on whether I would give up Highway 65 to get rid of Zach, but the answer is probably yes. I loathe him and every second of screentime he takes up from actual characters on this show.

Nope, I'm with you. I actually think the episodes have been getting better as we move along.

  7. I'm trying to figure out J's angle. Is he running the long con and playing both ends against the middle or what? Oh Craig, you truly are dumber than a box of rocks.

  8. Shockingly, I'm starting to come around to the back half of the season. I'm hoping that they keep getting better. I love that they didn't have Gunnar hop in bed with the homegurl, Scarlett finally pulled her head out, Daphne and Maddie are NOT annoying (100 bonus points right there), Juliett and Deacon are great and I don't mind Jessie Caine. I do miss Will though.
