  1. Awesome that they're nominated again. One of the major categories where they could of been nominated for was New Artist last/this year but TCTM was released after the deadline. Haha at Billboard, PTX is boring for not singing any lyrics. Hopefully they'll get to present at the main show (CMA style perhaps?)

All these other award shows have some sort of 'trailblazer' award, PTX should be definitely be up for consideration. Paving the way and reigniting the a cappella genre but no, only A-listers/extremely popular peeps are looked at. At least the Grammys isn't a fan voted award show.

  2. No credit given. Blatant copy of PTX & Lindsey's arrangement. Well done "The Voice." Like no one would notice. It was supposedly rearrangement week where Gwen, the coach, took credit for the arrangement.

Ben Bram has caught wind of it. "Hey @NBCTheVoice, you have a fast schedule, but did you have to use every note of the @PTXofficial arrangement?"

  3. Awesome week for PTX!

    TCTM sold 61k (#4, #5 SPS)

Pentatonix sold 21k #14 (26k SPS, #21). Very steady these past few weeks, compare that to the other major artists who have seen major drops.

Lots of movement on iTunes charts. TCTM was #4 but Black Friday sales from other artists including PTX has pushed it to #14 currently. The standard edition of Pentatonix is sitting at #10.

First American Top 40 song with CSL this week (#37 on Pop Radio).

HAC radio is still spinning CSL, #26

Joy to the World is getting some airplay jumping to #29 on AC radio (#37 CSL)

  4. Numbers are in for this week for TCTM. Big jump this week with 57-61k (60-64k SPS) sold, could end up in the top 5 on Billboard. (Early projections, still have Thanksgiving coming up, last push for #'s)

Meanwhile Adele will probably rule the charts for the next year, record breaking +3.1M sales.

Also, Sony's hosting a virtual reality experience thing with PTX next Monday (11/30). Head out to any of the selected Westfield malls to meet PTX virtually, they'll also be singing Hark!... - smarturl.it/PTXVR

  5. Lots of praise for their performance and then there's Billboard.

"It was a lot of vocal ba-ba-baaa and doo-doo-doo, so honestly, when the orchestra took over, it was a bit of a relief." - All the Performances Ranked From Worst to Best

What the freak are they suppose to do. Add imaginary lyrics?!

Then there's this, will give it a pass. It was a giant publicity campaign, he/she probably got sick of all the promo.

"...as a timely endorsement for The Force Awakens but not sure if Chewbacca & Co. would have gotten jiggy with this set." - 9 Best & 3 Worst Moments

  6. Tweeted this out because the hate was strong tonight. Bring on the hate and criticism. It was an instrumental and a cappella performance. What were they going to expect with a song with no words.

"The resurgence of a cappella & rise of @PTXofficial is bringing out all the hate. Don't like it then okay but respect the art."

Given the all clear. Tribute -

  7. Ick. I can understand lauding One Direction. While the teeny bopper fandom is silly, they're not bad vocally, But Bieber?  Oh Mitch...

Haha Mitch's taste in EDM music. Had a peek at Bieber's album. All the same dancey music stuff.

  8. Another pipe dream: What if PTX could achieve a quasi-EGOT by appearing (in any capacity) on the main telecasts of the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys?

That would be epic. They could easily do sing CMA style.

Charlie Brown special also includes them singing with the All American Boys Chorus, press pics were just released. European interviews are starting to come out this week, promo-ing both TCTM and Pentatonix. So many Japan interviews, might put them into a playlist, haven't had the chance to watch anything but someone mentioned that in one of the radio interviews they were talking about their AMA's Star Wars tribute. Obviously no lyrics, medley of dums and das.

  9. PTX is NOT eligible for the Best New Artists category as they've released 4 albums beforehand (EP's count) and they've also already won a Grammy. TCTM is definitely eligible for Best Album but is an outside chance to be nominated as no other holiday albums have ever been nominated. Time to break the trend? They've been doing that lately.

Seriously fantastic gigs coming up for them. All the hype around Star Wars. The emoji Twitter gave them. Won't mind the orchestra as long as PTX gets to show off their talent. 30 seconds of a cappella be great.

  10. Yes it is for the new comedy show on NBC, "Superstore". Saw it and there are longer promos for this show but they don't play 'Na Na Na'. Very brand new TV spot. Also been hearing about their songs playing during game day matches as well. Exciting to hear their stuff getting played commercially now.

With the CMA thing, think they didn't even glance at HF. Unfortunate but that's the business, cashing in on your popularity.

Surprised they're still getting spun on radio. Still on the rise moving to 38 on Pop radio.
