I'm glad she got those hardwood floors she kept talking about.  Wonder if he will get his German shepherd?

Oh, yeah. And that's something that pissed me off. Everything she wanted was a "deal breaker." But whenever the guy would talk about getting the German Shepherd, she would get all snotty and go, "maybe." Perhaps she was just kidding? Who knows.

UO:  I missed all the behind the scenes showrunner drama on Sleepy Hollow.  I just binged Season Two, which I'd DVR'd but never watched.  I liked it almost as much as Season One.

That's why I've started avoiding the Sleepy Hollow boards. There are already several pages of people talking about how much they're going to hate Season 3--which doesn't premiere till the fall. I have my concerns, given some of the Season 2 changes that didn't work. But I don't want to repeat the same thing every single day. Or read about it all day.  And people on the boards rile each other up so much that everyone is extremely angry all the time. Not my cup of tea.

This.  They can't all be good...remember when Roseanne didn't shy away from criticism and would have been honest instead of just heaping praise on everyone.

I know the judges are trying to encourage the contestant by being nice, but a comedian truly only gets better after hearing constructive criticism. And by bombing a lot. At least according to Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Aisha Tyler, Shawn Wayans, Kyle Dunnigan, and other comedians I respect.

Keenan provided the most constructive criticism, and I thought his observations were spot-on. I see what Roseanne meant when she said he was like the smart kid in class, and everyone was trying to copy his paper. Keened does seem to be the "leader" among the judges. As a producer and TV show creator, I suppose he has the best handle on what makes for a successful comedian. Not that Roseanne's and Norm's opinions aren't valuable--of course they are.

  4. I'm liking Anthony Jeselnik as host. His remarks to Norm, especially were hilarious (You were almost racist, And that was worth it, Keenan--and you get one shot).

I'm surprised Mehran (the self-proclaimed Iranian homo) made it. He had a lot of energy but wasn't all that funny. I much preferred the other dark-haired, skinny guy (who made the joke about his biological dad). I liked his dry humor. Yes, the set was a little choppy, but he had natural comedic talent.

  5. New Episodes beginning July 31. I don't know if this will be a full season, or if we'll see just a few summer episodes.

I hope we have another chance to see Kayla and Sunjai before they leave for college or wherever else their futures take them.

This movie will never get old to me. I could watch it every week and not get sick of it. I've been loving reading all these articles about it for the anniversary. The casting is great. I love Paul Rudd, and Alicia Silverstone is perfect in this movie.

Also, LOL that trailer totally gives away Josh and Cher ending up together (or at least making out).

I don't know what inspired me to watch this movie. I was 24 when it came out, and I hadn't seen a trailer or any other ad for the movie. I might have caught a random showing on cable TV.

I think Alicia Silverstone gave Cher the perfect amount of innocence and vulnerability to balance out her oblivious sense of entitlement. I knew nothing about Cher and Josh getting together, so that was a nice surprise.

  7. I'm not sure if this totally qualifies as NBA news, but for those of you who love (or hate) Steph Curry's daughter, Riley, here's a video of her doing the Whip/Nae Nae on her third birthday. She dances...like a 3-year-old, but you've got to admire her enthusiasm:

Se7en's "What's in the boooox?" is an always-favourite of mine. And it's always useful, somehow.

I use that line, too. And it becomes a gauge of whether the person I'm talking to is a kindred spirit. So when a co-worker, family member, or friend mentions something being inside a box and I go, "What's in the booooxxxxx?" --if they laugh and understand what I'm talking about, I know we have a cosmic connection.
