It's just useful to know, in general, that so many people see that as an assault (I was not aware of that -- not that I'd EVER go around tickling people!)

This never crossed my mind either, good to know. I thought it was kind of cute. I can see why people feel that way, but to me, the tickling didn't feel as invasive or icky as an intro with hand holding, standing too close, and [an attempt at] bedroom eyes. Shiver.

  2. I would rather wear a junior print than a yoga mat any day.

I don't remember Nathalia's print but loved hers coming down the runway.

Unfortunate time of year to promote a swimwear line, but I guess Heidi didn't have a choice on that.

I actually think Quinn was so upset because the lack of emotional artifice - the real love there - reminded her of how hollow her life is, how Ioan Gruffudd's character is gone and it's her fault, the hollow "we'll always have each other" from Chet that was no doubt even more depressing. All of the things that remind her of what she could have had. For once, Quinn was sort of human.

I would also add that Quinn also lost the opportunity to make Chet see his girl go off with somebody else. Something she has witnessed with Chet multiple times.

  4. I have watched every episode of this series, and never has a season felt so scripted. I swear I'm watching a dramedy.  JoJo is probably the best puppet the producers have ever had.The interview between Chris and Luke seemed rehearsed.

I think there's a lot It was interesting that Lisa (? - the one paired with Taylor ?) was the one who defended BT and in the previews it looked like they are the two people who break away from their partners.

I rewound it, and while Ashley is the one talking about it, I got the impression Ben was the one Lisa was pursuing, as they were the ones in the water together.

Having said that, my ability to tell reality contestants apart has never been too strong.

  6. Also, as ridiculous as Hannah's actions in the principal's office were, I can see how a different type of boyfriend, in the world of the show, might've reacted much differently than Fran did. Adam, for example, might've found it funny.

It would have been cool to make that comparison...have a scene where Hannah tells Adam (somehow), and he laughs, thinks the principal had it coming, and sympathizes with poor ol' Hannah.

  7. Spectacular? Most definitely. The producers apparently agree and knocked the conventionally attractive Caila aside for the She's Got That Certain Something Extra Joelle Fletcher.

Rainsong, thinking of applying to be on the Bachelorette? :)

You totally should and then tell your biggest fans (us) EVERYTHING! In return, we will flood social media with adoring content and snark only in private...most of the time. :)

  8. I know this show is not a true reality, and that there is significant producer and editor manipulation. However, as the show concluded, all I could think was how unbelievably scripted this particular episode was, from the shout out to the Jamaica tourism bureau, to the double ILYs, to Caila's "surprise" visit. It didn't feel like a single word out of Ben's mouth was original, or sincere for that matter.

Actually, I could also think about how shortsighted it was for Ben to agree to say ILY to two women.

Sharleen wrote in her Flare recap how she would love to find somebody with no knowledge of the Bachelor series and see how they reacted to this episode. I would tune into THAT! (Who am I kidding, I obviously would tune into anything, been here since S01.E01.)

  9. What I do hate is that now the precedent has been set, we'll never get a genuine, unguarded reaction to a lead's ILY ever again. The recipient of the ILY will always wonder wether they're the Lauren or the JoJo in the equation.

Or if there is no ILY, one might worry she's the Caila, when the possibility exists that the bachelor is saving the ILY for the end. Paranoia all around.

  10. ...weird attachments to your facial hair (Neil and Ashley).

That is the funniest thing I've seen all day!

I buy David's innocence. If he was actually interested in somebody else AND worried about how he might be perceived on TV AND knows this person has a connection to Ashley, he is smart enough to wait a couple of weeks to explore.

I do not like these people, but I can't help watching and then reading about it. If I have to wait until the second part of the season finale to hear the actual decisions, I will throw something.

  11. Sorry if this is off-topic, but which sub-demographic of the Bachelor audience is McDonald's pursuing so aggressively?  The product placement is on a whole new level.

  12. Warsaw...the orthopedic capital?

Mr. TVGlow doesn't think JoJo is hot. That both pleases and bothers me...because JoJo is definitely hotter than me...

  13. So, did anybody else dissect Olivia's toes and ankles as she did her solo walk on the beach (she was allowed out of the hotel room?) the day before the two-on-one? I did not see anything strange...disappointing.

  14. Guaranteed the "Ben only cares about Lauren B" rumor was started by a producer trying to get into everyone else's heads and stir up shit, which clearly worked since Leah went from invisible to batshit crazy in the space of an hour.

Agreed, and if Lauren I had shared the information herself, I am sure there would have been animosity towards her, not just Ben, by the other ladies.

  15. I feel like my opinion was expressed many times so, I'll just say this:

Emily had a lovely almost elegant beach cover up top that she paired with a trashy, hot pink tasseled bikini. I couldn't get over it.

It didn't stop there. What was up with those hideous shorts? They were cut like briefs.

  16. I don't see Ben as being in the wrong for the Jubilee break up, either.

While it's certainly nice to be the one making the decisions, it has got to be exhausting to be "on" every minute of a group date. Forced competitions, bachelorette tension, non-stop interviews. Not that I felt sorry for "how he felt" due to Jubilee's hesitation, but I saw frustration, not apathy.
