she financed $40,000 for a wardrobe to be on the show

Yikes, hope she and others kept the tags on!

I thought designers lent them clothes (like SMBs, not big fashion houses).

Oof.....but then he rolled up on a horse and he’s a total weirdo so maybe they might be ok?

The groom coming in on a horse is a common Indian tradition, and there's a lot more to it than just the horse (music, dancing, welcoming of the groom and his family by the bride's family). (Google "baraat".)

Still a weirdo, just not because of the horse.

All these Vegas commercials wants me to just forget about the last 7 months and head on out there to eat and drink myself silly and loose my money at Blackjack.

Then that was money well-spent by Caesar's!

I'm so impressed that y'all actually watched the first 45 minutes! All I want is to see Cely's face when Johnny dives in for an unnecessary kiss with Mercedes during the villa-CA competition. We viewers DESERVE to see this. This is far more important than seeing Arie dump Becca.

    I agree!

People seem to be focusing on the technicalities of what Johnny did.  But for me, he wasn't really honest with Cely about how voracious he was about responding to Mercades' advances.  Should he be? I don't know, and I don't really care.  But Johnny saying technically x and y happened and all 5 of his friends nodding and saying "Yup. Yup. Just like that" is a bit manipulative.   When Cely watches the real show, I still think she'll be surprised and hurt.  There's not much Johnny could have done, but I think Noah was more honest about what happened than Johnny was.

Not to mention, that nobody talked until they were asked. It would've been really hard for me not to let that tea* spill if I walked into the villa.

*look at me talking like a millennial! Gen Z-er?

Was it that easy for a 29 yo who works at a nonprofit to afford and access elective cosmetic surgery during a pandemic?

They must receive some sort of compensation for this show and the follow-up series, right?

The singing was beautiful. The costumes made zero sense. They were way beyond quirky. I think their friends are taking the piss out of the show and seeing how far they can go, but not in a mean or condescending way.

Yes, these people sign up to get married at first sight. But they are strangers.  No one should be expected to have sex or be pressured for sex when they still don't know each other well.

I would have sex with a stranger instead of marrying one any day of the week (hey, don't knock it til you've tried it 😉). Not at any point in this lifetime would I televise either scenario.

I've started to watch an older season of the UK version and it's shockingly how much more real and less annoying those contestants are, even after only 5 episodes that I've watched.

Agreed, the personalities far exceed those of the American casts (mostly). I couldn't really watch the girl that won last season.

The range of accents make it more interesting, too. And their beauty/makeup standards are SO different from ours. I would love for some of those girls to get makeovers.

I did, too.  But even funnier would have been the look on my face if I were Nicole and given a year's supply of low-calorie ice cream.  Even without spoken words, the caption machine would have displayed, "Fuck that shit."

I literally laughed out loud and felt the same way. Full-fat or bust!

and nice try by Chris H to exit Kamil quickly as if he was trying to spare Annaliese when we all know he knew about the humiliation she was about to suffer. Please.

And encouraged it, no doubt. Have we ever seen such a scripted tell all?

  10. It took me a while to get the joke, but did y'all catch Kamil's byline of "Ex-Social Media Participant"? It popped up during his interview after Shushanna confessed she stalked him on Instagram.

Colton can't be the Bachelor. When he was crying, I felt like I was watching an enormous toddler. He is sometimes hot and sometimes a toddler. Like the Seinfeld episode with the sometimes attractive, sometimes hideous woman.

This is a boring fucking season.  Thanks Corrine and Demario for being punk asses who couldn’t handle their booze and ruining it for all of us.

And the upstanding citizen/producer that made the big deal about it to begin with.

  12. I haven't had a chance to catch up on the chatter here this week but wanted to thank the poster who brought Love Island into my life. I have gotten nothing accomplished since I started watching.

BiP has a lot to learn.

This show is truly a study in what a fame whore is willing to do to be on TV.

Yes, a thousand times yes. I've never seen a reality show contestant worse than Angela. Cringe-inducing, jaw-dropping, etc. She truly is calculating her moves for screen time with no worries about her legacy.

I would be embarrassed to ever admit I watch this or AYTO, so I don't. When do the next seasons start?!

MJ is a rattle snake, you know she is there about to strike if you get too close, while Asa is the cobra, she quietly slithers up, blinds you, then kills you with her bite. LOL

I can agree they are both snakes!  I do not recall Asa being deliberately malicious to one of her fellow cast members (but my memory is terrible) and give Asa the benefit of the doubt over the others in this case.

  15. Warning: unpopular opinion.

While I detest every single person on this show, I probably detest Asa the least (maybe Shervin).  MJ has been horrible to her throughout the years; how about a private conversation to share your feelings instead of bashing her in a group setting or at an important event?  Why should Asa share anything with a person she does not trust?  As far as Asa asking MJ a million questions about freezing eggs, maybe it was for the cameras, or maybe she was trying to be there for her and give her a chance to talk about it and ask questions to show she was engaged.

I do not care whether her baby was naturally conceived or from IVF.  While I can't relate personally, some friends have experienced infertility, and each copes differently.  Some are an open book; others keep it to themselves, and I know not to ask.  Either way, the emotions are intense and not always best shared on national television and/or with one's Bravo-curated group of friends.

In general, I always get the feeling that every storyline on this show is scripted, by the cast themselves, so that there is a reason for a show.  (Clearly, this season's theme was babies.)

I love how the audience got into an uproar and Kenny wagged his hell no finger at Lucas when he told Dean to shut up. Like don't you be talking to Dean that way. Ah, the MTA is always so fun.

I rewatched this three times, once in slo-mo. Funniest clip of the night!

  17. Had anybody looked up the whaboom hashtag? I won't allow myself to contribute to its potential to trend by looking it up myself. Anybody want to take one for the team?!

On Jimmy Kimmel, Rachel said the producers did not make her keep Lucas. (/side-eye)
