  1. Ian Something-or other was nowhere near that interesting. Or butch.
  2. We still never got a clear reason why Alice Horton was embezzling millions of dollars. Something to do with that stupid ass coin the gay vampire wanted.
  3. Earlier this year, someone put up a link to Vivian Jovanni's audition as Ciara, and I have to say she seems better on the show than she did there. I was a wee tot in the 80's, so I wasn't around for the Steve/Kayla stuff. But I just have to say, I really, really don't get it. From what I understand, Steve is supposed to be a sexy bad boy, but this guy just seems to be a middle aged man desperately clinging to his youth. Even John Black has updated his look.
  4. I've been thinking about that for a while, and all I can come up with is that everyone, with the possible exception of Brady, "knows" that Theresa is lying, and just doesn't care, because it puts Xander in prison.
  5. Gambling, if I remember correctly. But there was some vague implication that there may have been more going on that he didn't know about.
  6. I'm assuming Dan and Nicole's dance was choreographed to a different song, and suddenly DAYS got a hold of a real song and decided to play that instead? And I don't know what I missed, but how did it suddenly go from Andre wanting Aiden to steal the evidence against Chad to him wanting Hope murdered?
  7. Theresa's whole point to Anne was that she needed someone to knock some sense into her, and Anne was more worried about how much sense her plans made. Now, Theresa's a grown woman, and it's not Anne's job or responsibility to mother or mentor Theresa, but I think Theresa's right to recognize that she needs some kind of stabilizing influence in her life, and Anne just plain isn't it. Remember when she got a promotion and couldn't even wait till she left the hospital to celebrate and get drunk? And thought it'd be hilarious to spike the drink of a recovering alcoholic not even thirty days into his sobriety? Now I think there's a lot more going on here-Theresa's clearly trying to get in everyone's good graces, and hanging out with Anne, who's hated by the entire hospital staff, isn't going to do that. So yeah, it's not entirely altruistic on her part. But it doesn't make her wrong, either.
  8. I'm pretty sure Paige figured that whole thing out. We never saw her reaction to Marybeth, though. The actress was in Straight Outta Compton and is going to play Storm in the newest X-men movie, so presumably she left to go film those roles.
  9. I thought WilSon was a pretty good story, at least up until the end. But Days has been showing interracial relationships for a while now; particularly considering that one of the current families on canvas is Latino. Very few characters on the show have NOT been in an interracial relationship, and there are several mixed race characters on the show. I don't know if I'd say that they're doing particularly good on issues of race, but I suppose they're not technically ignoring it.
  10. Friday's episode just revealed the identity of a serial killer, yet the past three pages of this board have been dedicated solely to "that trollop Abigail Devereaux" (thanks John Oliver!) This is why we see her so much. Not because the actress is allegedly fucking a writer. Not because she's "the pet" of the executives in charge. But because she's the most talked about character on the show. Love her or hate her, people can barely wait until an episode ends before taking to Twitter, Facebook, and message boards to either love her or slam her. And to the folks in charge, that equals ad dollars. Yeah, sure, Abigail begged E.J. to continue their affair, but you saw that toothpaste ad with Alison Sweeney, right? She may still be lying to Ben about sleeping with Chad, but I sure feel like having some Cheerios all of a sudden. And that's all they care about. The ad dollars. True O'Brien and Melissa Archer may be "better actors", but there's a reason their characters were the first victims of a serial killer, and Abigail will never be.
  11. They did the same thing with her sister-in-law Belle- 5 year old Belle was onscreen at the beginning of the week, and 15 year old Belle was on at the end.
  12. Whatever happened to all that money that Alice was laundering? Did it end up going to Stephano?
  13. I wasn't around for it, but I suspect that Aiden
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bo is the only non-criminal psychopath that Hope has ever dated, right?
  15. As if a little thing like that will stop her.
  16. To be fair, Maxine doesn't actually know what she did, which probably makes it easier for her to just dismiss it. I kind of want a storyline where Maxine meets a guy, starts dating him, and then he and Jennifer hit it off and have an affair/fall in love/whatever. Maybe then Maxine will chill the fuck out about Jennifer's purity.
  17. I was so unbelievably sad when Nicole, fresh off of receiving the proposal she had dreamed of for so long (which she got without having to scheme to get it), goes home... and starts reading a magazine. Seriously? It is inconceivable to me that this woman has no friends. She couldn't talk to Rafe? If they can have Paige alienated from everyone, yet bring in Daphne everyday for her to interact with, they can have Sally (her co-worker from the TV station) be around as her girlfriend/confidant.
  18. The last time we saw Bill was at Alice's funeral. He was played by John H. Martin, according to IMDB. i can't believe it's been five years since I came back to watching this show.
  19. Great. So now, on top of everything else, Abigail is independently wealthy. If they did, Will has almost certainly slept with them all, which is probably whey they don't hang around anymore.
  20. In her defense, Kayla was trying to get Abby to see that she made a conscious decision to sleep with Chad BEFORE finding out she was "being manipulated".
  21. Lots of attention seems to be called to Kassie DePaiva's accent, but no one seems all that interested in Billy Flynn's, which seems a lot thicker to me. Most of the current anger towards Theresa seems to be because she "made" Melanie leave town. Which, yeah, she did instigate, but Melanie left of her own accord. She even admitted that her relationship with Brady wouldn't work out; Theresa definitely didn't make her say that. Melanie left because she didn't want Theresa to manipulate Brady using Tate, even though she discussed with Marlena on the plane ride home from Italy how Theresa was going to use Tate to manipulate Brady. She knew this was coming, everyone would have supported her fighting Theresa, but she made the choice to leave.
  22. Was Serena's friendship with Melanie genuine? I mean, I realize she was using Melanie a bit while she was in Salem, but Melanie seemed to genuinely like her and care for her, even confiding personal feelings and secrets with her. I can't tell if she intentionally targeted Melanie as a friend while in Europe or not.
  23. Cameron was her first boyfriend.
  24. It was really frustrating watching Nicole and Eric stand around talking, while the main power button to the entire building was literally staring them in the face. "Oh, dear, we have to wait till morning!" No, idiots. Push that button and you'll have to wait ten minutes max before the entire city comes to investigate why a network television station lost power.
