Back to my original thought, though, church is at least a social activity where she can meet people outside of her immediate family. They were all so isolated for so long: living at the TTH, being "homeschooled" there, and going to the Church of Jim Bob in the warehouse that I think the tiny bit of social interaction at church is a reasonable baby step toward becoming a functional adult.
What church does she attend, though?

It's super fucking clear.
It seems pretty clear that what they want is for Bentley to repudiate Ryan, as well as Jen and Larry, in order to embrace the wonder of McKinney fabulousness. Fair enough, we all have our fantasies. But it seems that Bentley feels a connection to his paternal grandparents, and even to Ryan and Ryan's other kids. B is struggling with how to sort all of that out now, but, from what we've seen on the show, it doesn't seem like he's landing at a place of "Fuck Ryan-- and Memaw and Papaw!" So let him be. Let him figure out what relationship he wants to/can have with his paternal family. That's what super awesome and supportive parents would do, regardless of how it made them feel to see Bentley give his family "undeserved" chances or benefits of the doubt. Though Larry's "where were you for the first 4 years?" comment was dumb, it resonated in terms of how J&L's commitment to/love for B originated long before Taylor even knew B existed, which does/should count for something.
They are all worthless excuses for parents for continuing to exploit Bentley on this show, instead of supporting him with jobs of their own. Period.

Some of the top posts are ones that are personal heartbreak that people have shared, I can't imagine how it would feel to have to see that post every single time you're on this site.
I have no idea why that added that. I absolutely hate it.

My mother took me for an eye exam, and I got glasses. When I first put them on, the assistant told me to look at a chimney outside the window. I was amazed to see the individual bricks. I'll never forget it. My mother had no idea because I didn't know I couldn't see. If I were isolated like the Rod kids, that would have gone on for a long time.
David and diabetes or heart disease. Jill with thyroid issues. Janessa with early health issues. The rest of the kids with vision, dental, or other concerns. Jill now has money to get checkups for everybody. Instead, she buys a huge clock with funny numbers nobody in the house can read.
I’m sure the whole family is covered by Medicaid. She could get care for all of them without paying a penny, but she just doesn’t bother.

one of our neighbors tells a story of getting glasses at age 8 or 9 and how she had never realized the leaves on trees could be seen separate. they had always been a big glob and she had no idea they looked different to other people
I was about 8-9 when I got my first glasses and I said the same thing as we were driving home. I had never been able to read the signs, etc along the car ride home. My mom cried when I said that because she never had any idea how bad my eyesight was.
