Re Gerri & Roman's fight: Why isn't Gerri using Roman's having sent her unsolicited dick pics as her trump card? Or has that card been played already, since Logan already found out (Roman's stupid mis-texting) and is now dead anyway?

Seems to me a headline like "New Waystar co-CEO Sent Dick Pics to Highest Ranking Woman" would still have some potency (!) as a threat.

I don’t remember if Gerri was asked to sign an NDA in exchange for something last season, but that would make sense. I think Gerri would be smart enough to leverage it without asking for so much that Logan would tell her to f— off.

I  can almost handwave that Jack found the one copy of a 750 print run that Austen inscribed to a relative, but according to the Jane Austen's House website, the first edition was published in 3 volumes: https://janeaustens.house/object/sense-and-sensibility/.

The fact that Keeley only got the first volume didn’t bother me—maybe Jack just gave  her the first volume because that’s what she could buy. The point seemed to be, “Look how little I care about money because I’m willing to deface a very valuable rare book for you instead of donating it to one of our country’s fine libraries in your name where it can be properly cared for.” Not a fan of Jack anymore.

I am American and don't think Jade was being rude. Before Nate was an ass, the window table was not Jade's call but management's, is what I thought. After he became an ass, I assumed the issue was he was trying to impress her with his status, and she did not care he was locally famous.

I wouldn’t say she was “rude” when Nate asked to have the window table for his parents’ anniversary, but I don’t think she was nice either. If she didn’t have the power to reserve the table, she could have told Nate that she would ask her manager. Instead she just said they don’t take reservations for that table. It was a special occasion, he asked nicely, and his family are repeat customers so she could have made more effort.

I was not bothered by her not being impressed by his status as West Ham coach because he was bring pompous by then. Jade me laugh when her facial expression didn’t change at all when Nate introduced his date the famous mode.

I suspect Jamie’s terrible hair styling is partly to help viewers quickly distinguish him from the others of his general hair and skin color (like Colin) in scenes where we see a group of males of similar age and BMI all dressed alike.

That makes sense. I got Jamie and Colin confused during the first season. Then I got those two straight, but Will joined so I got him confused with Colin.

I do think there must be a hairstyle that isn’t hideous and can make Jamie stand out from Colin and others. It’s time for Isaac to give him a cut.

I agree this episode was all over the place. Not surprised about Keeley and Jack but DON’T FUCK YOUR BOSS! I do not think they are the end game in any way. That’s still her and Roy and if they aren’t it will join HIMYM in shows I will forever hold a grudge against. Everything with Keeley seems like it’s a different show and my patience with that is getting wearing thin.

Yes. The Rebecca-Sam pairing was bad enough in it’s inappropriateness. This is worse. I like Jack and will give her a tampon any day, but I am Team Roy for Keeley’s soulmate.

I feel like the pacing is off in part because we are not seeing enough of the soccer/football matches and training. I guess that was sacrificed in favor of Keeley’s offices scenes.

  6. Loved Roy training Jamie, especially the matching headlights. As much as I hated to see Rupert be so smug to Rebecca, I’m glad the tape backfired, and Richmond didn’t win by getting angry. I want them to win by playing smart and playing together. And I want Rupert to lose and get his stupid Darth Vader coat caught in his car door. In that order.

  7. Does Richmond wear orange kits for away games? It’s been so long since the previous season I’ve forgotten these details.

I find a marriage counselor dating a former patient less believable than an American football coach bring hired by a British club. So unethical.

  8. I didn’t realize until this episode that Shiv’s dog is named “Mondale.” I found that a very odd choice. You’d think she’d want to name her dog after a Democrat that won the presidency like Roosevelt or Kennedy. I notice that poor dog always seems to be in the pen too. Assuming it’s the same dog we’ve seem in previous seasons, it should be old enough to be properly house trained.

  9. Of course Ted said “yes” to Trent writing a book on Richmond because Ted never gives up on someone. Do Rebecca, Leslie, and Keely know Ted at all?

I don’t think Zava will stay long at Richmond because the story arc will be the team needs to realize they win by playing together not by having a big star. I predict he pulls a diva move and they fire him.

Speaking of Rupert, could the evil empire references be more obvious?

My first thought when I saw Rupert’s office was that Darth Vader is his interior decorator.

From now on, I will only refer to feces as poo-PEH.

When the episode started, I thought I had selected the pilot by mistake. Nice parallels.

  11. It drives me nuts that Dr. Pershing has glasses. They have lasers, but no LASIK to fix his eyes?

I caught a definite vibe between Mando and Bo after the dogfight.

Grogu is so smart putting up his pram shield during the fight. What a good boy! In contrast, the R5 droid was pretty sad laying on the floor because it didn’t secure itself. I think it needs to start serving drinks because it doesn’t seem up for much else.

found it hilarious that Bo marched right out to the landing pad where Din’s ship was, fully intending to tell him to f’ off and leave her alone, but when she sees the kid alone, she doesn’t hesitate for a second to go save his cult-brainwashed ass.  Love the frenemy energy of it all.  I wonder if she did that for Din, for Grogu, for her creed, for the Dark Saber or all of the above.

No one can resist Grogu’s big eyes.

I am still wondering how Mando intends to prove to the Armorer that he bathed in the special water. He didn’t take a selfie unless the helmet comes with a camera/recorder.

came here to comment on the Law and Order meta too. Loved that line.

It’s Law Order, which we all now know is the longest running show with an ampersand in the title.

I feel like so much more could have been done with Tara & Johnny’s cameo. Where were the bedazzled microphones and headsets?

This show just doesn’t have the natural quirkiness of the original. It feels forced here.

  14. I hope this is not goodbye for Marjan. She is the ONLY female firefighter on the show, and one of the few Muslim female characters on network TV. I suspect she will return to save the day when new recurring villain does whatever horrible thing he is planning, and the Fire Department will be eager to reinstate her because she will be a big hero.

I have never heard of Grace’s trick of multiplying 7 to the tune of Happy Birthday. Some Googling revealed to me that there is an entire playlist for multiplication tables.

  15. This was the best like of the show: “I’m a fireman. Our codes are more like ‘fire.’”

Owen has more chemistry with O’Brien than most of his female love interests. If there is not fan fiction about this, there should be.

I miss case of the week episodes. I have enough continuing storylines to follow on streaming service shows.

  16. Did the people who did the lighting for Game of Thrones join the Willow crew? I couldn’t see much during the storm scene, and nothing takes me out of a show like squinting at the screen.

Elora is a idiot for telling those women who she is. Did it not occur to her that might not be safe?

(I can't exactly remember the circumstances in which Min and Louisa got together.  They're both married but they hooked up?)

Louisa is unmarried. Min is separated or divorced. Min’s marriage fell apart when he was put in Slough House.

They don’t recognize this sort of performance with Emmys, but Gary Oldman really should get one for Lamb’s gross personal habits. I had to look away from his noodle eating. River is a braver person than I am watching it from any angle.

Quite right! I stand corrected. It sure looks like it was made by the same company, but apparently not. Different shipyard, and different planet, even.

Both ships were made by Industrial Light & Magic so both were made by the same company “from a certain point of view” as Master Kenobi would say.

Luthen must be spending some of Mon Mothma’s money customizing his ship with gizmos like the thing that slices TIE fighters. Perhaps we are seeing what Han would have done with the Falcon if he didn’t have to repay Jabba the Hutt.
