The show actually spent quite a bit of time establishing this in earlier seasons. Which is why it makes the Wonder Triplets even dumber than usual to think they could pull this off. I realize this is TV so sometimes realism doesn't apply - but how many people are invested in B613 and Rowan? How many other guys, strategically placed in powerful positions, could be hurt by what was in Jake's files? It's not like they can really take down Papa Pope without collateral damage.
