Chanel looks like she’s six months pregnant in that dress.
Poor Raven being tagged, and then feeling she had to post her private health info for the world to see. 🙁

My tv channel lost reception so I missed the last 15 minutes. Read what happened on Twitter, though, and I'm sure we'll see a flashback on Monday. My reception, btw, worked fine for the Susan vomit scene. 🙄

What terrible news. I hope this is a really short return.
I hope so too. Sarah and her cutesy voice and actions really got under my skin.

I swear to god I think Ron had planters on the TWOP board (or was it already this site?) come and try to demean Robin. There was one distinctive poster who couldn't stop talking about how Robin looked like a fat lesbian when she came back. (No, I am not kidding.)
I haven't watched GH in decades, but I loved Robin, and can't imagine anyone not liking her. ☹️

That wasn't the Salem Inn, it was Julie's restaurant. But I agree the scene with Kate came out of nowhere and also went nowhere. Seemed like it was setting something up but Jack and Jen are leaving, so also felt unnecessarily shoe-horned in.
I saw the episode, but was not paying attention to when Sami and Lucas left. Where did they go? Is Alison Sweeny's run wrapped up again, and this time Bryan Datillo is off for a while, too? I assume at least Lucas will be back when the other shoe finally drops.
Oh, that makes sense, that it was Julie's restaurant. I did think it was a different view of the Salem Inn, and forgot about the restaurant. And, yes, the Kate scene seemed strange. J&J's Salem goodbye would have been better without Kate interrupting it.
As for Sami and Lucas, I don't think we know where they were going, but I might have missed a scene.

So J&J's final stop was the Salem Inn, apparently for an off screen farewell with Doug and Julie. Don't D&J live at the Horton house now, or did they get kicked out when Jen came home. And if so, can they move back in now Such a strange scene. Though I guess they needed them somewhere other than the Horton house to have that unnecessary scene with Kate.

How can Kayla take time away from the hospital to go sleuthing with Steve? Doesn't she have to be available for brain surgeries, ER admittances, births, etc. Guess the student resident, Tripp, is gonna be busy!

And sorry, Nicole does have family, Abe being the father of her half brother! Unfortunately, she and Abe don’t have many scenes together, but when they do, they’re so very VERYgood!
Abe is Brandon's father! I didn't know that, (wasn't really watching when Brandon was around) but explains why Nicole and Abe are so close, which though I like, never understood.
If they're not going to pair Nicole with Eric, then put her with Brady. They have chemistry, and I prefer them as a couple to Brady & Chloe, and way more than Brady & Kristen, though I prefer Brady with Kristen than when he was with Theresa.

Even though the NYE celebrations were pretty lackluster, the ending was good. I did wonder what was up with Johnny, when he kept saying he wasn't feeling well, so it wasn't a total; surprise. Really fits, though, since he was the one who wanted to make the movie. Now he can have a real life starring role.

Oh good. Is our long national nightmare finally over?
I don't know, I'm not convinced it's over. I kept thinking "don't untie her, yet".
Even if it did work, and I see the reasoning for doing it on Christmas day, but what pathetic Christmas shows we got this year. The angel tree top burning, then everyone hanging ornaments like it never happened. Kayla and Steven doing the kid's hospital reading to no actual kids (yes, I know Covid). Nicole spending Christmas day at the police station with EJ. Marlena's family gathering to do an exorcism. (great to see Eric though) Paulina still Christmas shopping on Christmas morning,. Allie and Johnny bickering instead of opening gifts with Henry. And there's probably more. At least Christmas fell on the weekend, so no shows actually aired on Christmas day.

It feels kinda stalker-ish to talk about, but I also think that it's just that Lindsay is wearing more low cut tops lately. I can't see the pic in PEACHMANGOSTEEN's post, as you have to have an Instagram account, however, on the https://www.shopyourtv.com/tag/lindsay-arnold/ site, if you scroll down to last December, even though she's wearing sweaters, she looks, uhm, well endowed.

It was nice seeing Jennifer but, yes, those pants were awful. Where did wardrobe get them? Or was it MR's own clothes, being back as just a guest and not a full-time cast member? Either way, there must have been something else she could wear. The green sweater looked nice though. And, also, love the shorter hair.

Talk about a shitty write off. Philip deserved better.
This whole return was so disappointing, especially since I was initially thrilled when I heard they were bringing JKJ back as Philip. But other than a few good scenes with Lucas and/or Kate, it was all about the boring Chloe/Philip/Brady triangle.
And, worse for me at least, Philip and his father are still mostly on the outs. At the very least, for us viewers as well as JKJ and JA, Ron should have written a scene that had Victor telling Philip that he was glad he wasn't dead, and that he loved him. I mean the actors might not have a chance to act together again, seeing that JA is 88 years old. And this is the season for happy and sappy, right.

I had to laugh at Johnny’s big speech about spending Christmas with his wife then going upstairs to his bedroom In his dads house
That was funny, wasn't it. 😀
Glad Philip is going to get help. Hope that doesn't mean JKJ is gone for good, again, though.
You guys who suspected Lucas was the kidnapper were right. Not sure what I think about that, however, did enjoy the brothers bonding over their crazy schemes.

I know I can Google, and will, but think maybe they should have explained just a teeny bit for the viewers, like me, who are wondering "who's Tyler?"
That said, I really enjoyed the scenes with Philip and Kate today. Good acting, especially from JKJ. He came across as both crazy and sympathetic. Wonder how Kate's going to fix everything?
I kinda like the twist of putting Tripp in the hospital bed. But creepy too, especially if he knows what's going on, but can't communicate with anyone.
Jan Spears always gets the best lines, and the actress always does a great job with them. I'm sure she'll be back in her coma by New Years, but fun seeing her while we can.

I know some of you have mentioned this before, but I'm finding it hard to watch Victor these days as John Aniston is looking so frail. I know today he was supposed to be feeling weak with worry and grief about Philip, but seeing him always in a chair, wearing what looks like an oversized suit, just makes me sad.
I hope he's doing ok, and still working because he wants to, and not because he feels obligated. I also hope that before he either stops working, or they write Philip out again, that Victor and Philip can mend their father/son relationship, even if just a little.

Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas will premiere on December 15th.
From what I'm reading over at the DR forum, it's only going to be on Peacock Premium.

Did anyone else find this week boring. I started watching each day, but turned the tv off halfway through, as nothing was keeping my interest.

I don't have anything to say about the last 2 episodes, other than I wish Gabi and Jake would take their enormous egos and go be CEOs of some corporation anywhere that isn't Salem.

Very happy that Vincent won. His showstopper final cake was absolutely stunning.

I know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but IMO less is more when it comes to makeup, especially blue eye shadow.
Not sure if you guys saw this interview with Ann, but it fits the current discussion.
Current Plots Discussion: Actually Today's Episode
in Days Of Our Lives
I agree. Someone needs to get seriously hurt or killed. Even if it's just an extra or two.
The only time the devil has really felt threatening was when Doug was possessed. Bill Hayes made me feel something bad could happen. Mardevil and Johnnydevil, not so much.
