  1. One scene that confused me was when they were in the bedroom putting the money on the bed, and after Leonard says something about having sex on top of it, Penny gets really uncomfortable. Did she think they were just going to lie on top of it?

Leonard thought that sex on money would be a first for Penny.  Her reaction revealed that's she's already done that.

  2. I like Jane, Motif, and John.  Focus on those three characters.  Make it just like Seinfeld: John does stand up and tries to make it to television/writing like Jerry.  Jane tries to find a decent relationship like Elaine.  Andre is already being treated as the Newman.

Edited after watching Episode 3 on Halloween:  Motif is more like a George Costanza.  I guess that makes Elliot Gould the Kosmo Kramer character.

I dislike Lou Cannon's character.  His character is ruining this show for me.

  3. Thanks AD35!  Hopefully I can catch it on the CBS website.  The full episode isn't up yet.  I like that they're having the guys hang out together again without the ladies.  Not that I don't like Penny, Amy or Bernadette, it's just nice to see the guys getting back to nerdy stuff and having fun.  The time travel talk always blows my mind. I don't know how Jim Parsons kept all of that dialogue straight!  I wonder how many takes that took!

One detail AD35 left out was Penny wearing a revealing bikini top.  Lots of skin showing.  Hot!

  4. A story of the former SoS about to announce candidacy before his death.  Now the POTUS is a potential suspect.  But this is probably just misdirection.  If this series is going to be yanked mid season, the show can pin the death of the SoS on Nadine (Bebe Neuwirth's character).  This episode just revealed a possible motive: she was having an affair with him and was obviously deeply love with him.  His wife didn't even notice the affair. And he probably didn't want to leave his wife.  Nadine felt scorned and so she arranged for the plane accident.   Sounds like a role Bebe Neuwirth would savor.

  5. When you ask $260 for 10%, the offer is $260 for 33%, and your counter is $300 for 15%, you can't possibly think the Shark will agree to that.

I'm glad the rules of Shark Tank include sticking to the asking amount or walking away with nothing.  That way the major variable in negotiations is the percentage. Unless Uncle Kevin goes to his royalty schemes.

  6. What happened to Jay and Gloria's nanny who caught Haley's interest?  He had a girlfriend in another state who either was imaginary or leading him on.  I thought in last season's finale that things looked promising for a coupling of Haley and the nanny.  (I have one more episode to catch up, but so far he hasn't appeared this season).

  7. How did Walter's team name their team "Scorpion" ?  In this episode they showed the neon Scorpion sign and Toby playing a Scorpion's song.  Was Walter's explanation to Ralph (about scorpions being loyal to each other) the entire origin story of their group name?

Maybe later this season they will show how Walter met Sylvester, Toby, and Happy.

  8. That mathematician guys scanned 30 pages of text in a flash and memorized it.  That is amazing.  Next, Happy has turned into a bad ass - she's chasing down suspects, accurately predicting more bombs, and sensing explosives & finding a way to minimize the blast.  Toby seems like the weakest link in the group now.

  9. Not another comic book store for Stuart.  His old store sucked the life right out of him.  Him living in the store out of necessity. The store damage and insurance check were a blessing in disguise.  Stuart's life seemed to be going much better.  Now he is going back into the biz which made his life miserable, but now Debbie is his partner.  This could lead to trouble!

  10. Elizabeth needs to lose big sometimes.  The episodes are too sugary when they are wrapped up neatly in 60 minutes with her saving the day.  She mostly shows up that skinny short balding advisory character in the White House and that weakens his character.

  11. This show has a new opening theme.  Robert shows off multiple luxury cars and a jet in his segment.  Mark is now called "renowned" and no longer "notorious."  Now that I've seen it once, I can skip the theme for the rest of the season. Plus, I save even more time by skipping the opening show overview/teasers right before the theme.

  12. Next season some changes need to be made:

    1. No recruiting HGs.  There already are too many people who WANT to play BB.  No one related to anyone famous (like Willie, Elisa, Frankie, etc).

    2. On Day One: let all the HGs inside the house at the same time.  Not half, then the other half much later.

    3.  Get rid of announcing the weekly eviction vote tallies to the HGs.  Julie should just announce who is evicted.  The audience will know the tally but not the HGs (unless it's a tie). Add a little paranoia so HGs don't know if everyone is on board with "the house."

The HGs need to be free to vote the way they want without outing themselves as house dissenters.

  13. When young Walter's home in Ireland was stormed upon, Walter said something like "Sign this paper, and I'll show you how I hacked into...."  He was nervous when he said it, but it seemed pretty brazen to make a demand while weapons were aimed at him.  What was the paper he wanted signed?

  14. How ironic that the mathematician character doesn't like money!  I thought about this more: money brings him lots of options.   In the pilot, the mathematician couldn't even function with a few pieces of chalk out of order.  Giving away the money does seem like an easy solution.  However, the check he signed over to the nun said $3,000.  I thought in the pilot Walter negotiated like $40,000 each for that one task.  Maybe the US government pays it out monthly over a year?  40,000 / 12 = $3,333 (less taxes = $3K)  $40,000 annual salary seems too low for their level of expertise.

  15. I had no prior warning that Cecily would no longer be WU co-host.  Michael Che just showed up on my screen.  I wasn't familiar with any of his previous experiences or his personality, so the first few minutes were trying to figure him out.  He did alright.

Ariana Grande was good IMO as a musical act.  She didn't resort to her purposeful 'camel toe' to gain attention like in her latest music video for "Break Free." Though She-Ra was kind of hot.  Her second song was refreshing, and I enjoyed the voice of the male singer.  Her musical performances last night were polished.  And she seemed genuinely appreciative of the audience's applause.    Ariana has a lot of haters, but they only feed into her buzz.

I did laugh many times during the sketches.  SNL is off to a promising start for the new season
